This is going exactly the way Bajrangi Bhaijan is going. So I personally expect around 340 Cr. Should be just enough to beat P.K. 😆

Hirani ki safedi aside, the plot was not that good. They just focussed on cleaning Sanju's image so much that they just showed only two aspects of his life- drugs and terrorism. Plot was written solely to show -hey sanju was just innocent guy, it was other people who were villains, not him. Whatever.

My next negative point is bad direction, RK's Sanju was acting even outside the filmy scene. He was never at home, just acting. Like I dont believe Sanju who is son of two distinguise personalities will say-watt lag rahi hai. It was like Hirani cudnot imagine Sanjay past his Munnabhai personality. My another problem was slouching. I doubt SD walks like that in real life. Let me pick some finer points. I think many will get back to me on these. Wearing chains etc in award function- really? I doubt SD did that. They wud have given him a shirt pant rather than that Bhai personna wardrobe. Also I wud have liked Sunil Dutt calling Arshad Warsi Arshad rather than Circuit. He was not circuit on sets

Hirani kept Sanju in permanent Munnabhai shooting mode in 2nd half. Another negative, why didnt they show his first wife who also died in mid 90s.

Acting was alright. Vicky Kaushal surprised me alot like really alot. I loved him the most but they also showed him a culprit in abandoning Sanju. RK overreacted in many parts. Same for Paresh Rawal. But I blame script for those dramatics.

One and half stars from my side for getting all mannerism to the point and Manisha and Vicky kaushal. Script was bad. Hirani failed in 2nd half of PK and here also he failed in 2nd half.

Bahubali 2 and Padmavat sustained much much better without holidays. Sanju has been showing drops since the opening weekend. I guess the word of mouth for Sanju is not that good.

Padmavat would have easily crossed Dangal and become the all-time highest grosser of BW if it released in Gujarat and Rajasthan

Bahubali 2 was pure insanity. None of these compares to that.

With Padmavat, what you have to take into account is that the numbers of the film are much lower. that's why I am saying an apt comparison is Bajrangi Bhaijan. It is performing exactly in line with that. The daily absolute numbers are also same for the last five days.
