Do men really divorce their wives for masturbating?

First Veere Di Wedding showed this and now Lust stories. I don't get it.

Are men allowed to masturbate while being in a relationship? If they are then woman should be too

I am not in a relationship so I don't know intimacy rules

I am regular masturbater never had sex yet though. It just doesnt make sense to me.

Anyway, for many conservative Indians, female libido is meant to be nonexistent. A woman with a libido is considered to be of questionable morality. Many conservative Indians also believe that a woman's vagina belongs to her husband and both other men and objects do not belong there.

That is why men get away with pre-marital sex while expecting virginal wives. They also have the leeway to masturbate for masturbation.

Female libido in India is also very constrained. I was raised in an urban part of India but society made me believe that women were meant to be romantic, not sexual. For the longest time, I considered touching myself to be morally wrong.

Many women in India do not masturbate. Those who do keep it a very tightly guarded secret and under wraps. If caught they are reprimanded or punished. It would be grounds for divorce but due to saving face the masturbation will not be mentioned.

Even if they did..we wouldn't know it...even the urban India is very conservative when it comes to these issues...so even if this was the ground for divorce...there would be other reasons given for divorce and not this.
