It's so much easier to complain than to celebrate, sometimes it's good to step back and realize the positive factors that keep us attached to our favourite show. I know we all have our own reasons for watching but here are some that I think many people will relate to 😃
1. It makes us laugh
It's rare that you'll find a week's worth of KKB episode without at least one completely ridiculous scene or dialogue to lighten up the drama. In fact KKB has a very light-hearted tone over all and humour is a major part of its style. You can count on KKB to surprise you into an unexpected laugh in between scenes of intense angst and captivating suspense...which leads to the next point:
2. It keeps us guessing
While it may take a (very) long time for our main tracks to get solved, our show is good at giving us lots of small sub-tracks to keep us consistently tuning in. Even when they recycle sequences, we still want to know what happens next? when will the truth come out? what will the characters do now? There's always a mystery or unanswered question or unmet expectation to keep us interested; KKB is never a show that will solve things fully and finally when it can extend the story in an unexpected direction instead! And speaking of the story there's one important thing to note about it:
3. It's tightly focused
In two and a half years, we have had the same lead characters, the same villains (with occasional new helper villains 😆), and almost all the same supporting characters. The show focuses very closely on one main conflict - the never-united love story of Abhi and Pragya - with a small specific group of characters. It's compelling to keep following their journey and the story never strays far from its central thread. And related to that...
4. It never takes itself too seriously
Along with its trademark humour, KKB is also known for its utter disregard for logic and continuity (including its very special calendar!!). That can drive us mad sometimes but it's also part of the show's appeal; this is not a show that will be trying to make any deep, artistic or social point - it just wants to tell a good story, in any way possible. And one more thing that works so well with this style of storytelling...
5. It has an amazing cast
Whether you're a lifetime fan of one or both of the lead actors or you appreciate the unique supporting characters, there's no denying that the KKB cast includes many talented and experienced actors. They bring their energy and presence to the story and we love watching them bring our beloved characters to life!
