Foreigners of desi origin vs those living in India

So I was talking to a friend and was raving about movies like Masaan,Titli, Aligarh, Lunchbox etc. But they didn't thought too much about it and rather enjoy commercial big block buster movies instead. I told them you guys have no taste of quality cinema and they told me the same. Eventually they said they got enough problems in their life so they watch movies that are cheesy. But since I live abroad I would naturally tend to appreciate the finer things of India and have a grass roots approach to it so I would enjoy critic movies like such.

How true is this statement? Do foreigners of desi origin enjoy critic movies more than people back home settled in India?

I like both kinda movies... I loved Masaan and MWAS and I loved CE too.. 😆

Nahi. Yeh wo launde hote hai jinko sirf box officers ke ilawa na kuch aur dikhta hai na kuch sunayi deta hai. Hum woh launde hai jo quality over quantity matter rakhte hai. 😆

What is the big deal about it? I have too much time on my hands. I even watch Pakistani movies and Telugu movies dubbed or with English subtitles. Even I watched some bakwaas movie called Chudail Story earlier this afternoon. Sab online hai you just have to play and watch. Its not like Im lining up theatres and buying tickets. Anything available I watch it.

Watch Raman Raghav its pretty good too. Very suspensful and really great work by Nawaz. Mumbai Delhi Mumbai is also a good movie its romantic and based on an entire day. Check it out

Idhar udhar se jo milti hai dekh leta hoon but they release really late. But I think Ive seen War, Karachi se lahore, Na maloom afraad, Mai hoon afridi etc.
