hope its not at all hard to understand... coz its not...simple.

Sorry, there's no "double meaning" in "choli ke peeche kya hai". And the way it was sung makes you cringe. And since everybody knows what parts of the body are covered by a choli and chunri. So "choli mein dil hai mera" didn't do anything to "cover it up" IMO.

Friends, I literally fail to understand why it is way too tough to convey a simple point on this forum. I like 3 times already mentioned that too in detail that:

I NEVER stated old bollywood was all clean... did I .. no.

I am AGAIN stating that even my thread title starts from FINALLY...that means GRADUALLY it reached the height of direct filth that it was cooking sicne long, plz do read my more then once made posts over this.

The dhak dhk & choli r coming again & again by different members while I already answered like twice about it.

EVen in my first post I mentioned that this filth took MORE momentum in last 10 years and FINALLY reached to gutter level.

Right from the start till now I maintained many many times that it was already there but over the years it got worse and intolerable...not in exact words but the message is loud and clear.

Not even once anyone can get an idea that there is some nostalgi shostalgia talking...never defended the old school cinema even in one single post of mine, BUT again and again saying that it became worst and now reached the gutter level.

I am always surprised that why a simple subject cannot be discussed on thois forum without mentioning the same basic stuff again and again and going into circles like half dozen times where people always misinterpret even if you never stated what has been perceived and even if u clarify it like half dozen times...

never mind.

Some old classics
"Ambar khele holi, uui maa, bheegi mori choli. Hamjoli.
Chat pe akele mein kaisa lagta hai."

Bhool koi humse na ho jaye*.

Raat akeli hai, bujh gaye diye, aakey mere paas baahon mein mere..
Jo bhi chae kahiye/kariye. Cant remember. Lol

Bollywood lyrics have gone down the gutter lately .I cringe each time I hear chaar bottle vodka and all the other Yo yo songs. Censor board really does nothing about it and these kind of songs tend to become hits these day. What a shame

thats such a cliche statement..."old bollywood was so clean and innocent and classy...new bollywood is crass and cheap and vulgar"...

exactly what classy lyrics or songs or choreography are we talking abt from the yesteryear films?

Rajesh khanna singing "Hui hui garmi hai kahaan hai" while making wierd orgasm noises to sridevi in maqsad?

Juhi telling Anil kapoor "Main maal gadi tu dhakka laga" while pelvic thrusting in Andaz?

Karishma telling govinda "Sarkayilo khatiya jaada lage" , while doing all kinds of dry humping moves?

Madhuri telling anil "Ouch...Dhak dhak karne laga" while thumping her chest?

Sridevi doing an "erotic song" in a wet saree right in the middle of a KIDS FILM like Mr india

how can all those be acceptable and "sensuous" and today's songs be crap? thats such double standards...

and why do people fail to acknowledge that the music today is of a very high standard?
Highway, Queen, BMB, Barfi, SOTY, lootera, Raanjhanaa , YJHD, Kai po che, Aashiqui 2, Dedh Ishqiya and many more examples of good songs and good lyrics...why ignore all that and label today's music as crap and vulgar and devoid of lyrical value?

vulgar songs exist now...vulgar songs also existed back then...
good songs existed back then...good songs exist now aswelll...

and there is no need for each film to be a "family film" to be good. Wolf of wall street was R+ rated but it was still nominated for academy awards and hugely acclaimed by the people.
So the "cleanliness" of a film dosent decide its worth for sure.

Its common sense...u dunt take ur families to Ragini MMS, or TDP, or Grand masti...but those films have their own audiences and thats fine...

therz no need to generalize or be judgemental.

I don't agree with this thought of yours

I totally disagree that BW has gone gutter now! I think 'pathaka' perfectly summed my thoughts and I totally agree with him

Also blaming today's generation is so not done

What's the big deal?????!!! No-one is forcing you to listen to such songs. Tooh is not even vulgar, it means bum right? The video wasn't even vulgar at all.

I agree with Koiza K, dhak dhak and that 'I love you' song are the types of songs that are uncomfortable to watch. Women shaking their boobs, hips in wet saaris that are clinging on to them/showin their every curve, is what I find far more embarrassing to watch in front of my father, brother, uncle.

Choli Ke Peeche type of lyrics have double meanings to them. So there hasn't been that much change to the level of vulgarity in terms of lyrics.

If anything, you should complain about the item songs which objectify women. The current situation in India,, with the gang rapes and all, is awful. Yet we have these fevicol, Chikni, Munni Badnaam, type of videos where a woman is treated as a piece of object surrounded by horny men.

Yeah I agree with you about Sunny Leone. Making a po*nstar into a bollywood star is hypocrtical. The Bollywood fraternity preaches to be traditional, rooted and there films are predominantly promoted as family oriented, yet they are desperately trying to make a po*nstar happen.

I find it funny when a big deal is made out of an actor wearing a bikini, having a kiss scene or a love making scene, but it is perfectly acceptable for Sunny Leone to be considered a mainstream bollywood actress.
