You're so hung up on those six months that you refuse to acknowledge everything else. Salman himself has mentioned the fake announcement thing with the Sippies. That is clout. There's no 'retirement ' in this field like there is in , say public administration , where post retirement your life and influence change considerably. Barjatya has also clearly stated that he chose Salman because he was Salim's son. Without Barjatyas movies in the 90s he wouldn't have been as famous or successful

He was initially charged for culpable homicide, which was later dropped and changed to rash driving. after Ravindra Patil was kidnapped intimidated and harassed to his death Whether culpable homicide is different from murder is jusr a technicality. There's a thin line. For one , murder isn't always premeditated . Secondly even if he didn't intend to kill people sleeping on the pavement ,choosing to drive when he was that drunk shows he didn't mind endangering N number of people who could have been hit. He did not have a license either , which means he shouldnt have been driving , drunk or not. Did he serve his time in jail for reckless driving and ch ? No. Instead he bribed / intimidated/both his driver to change his testimony and accept responsibility. Just like the Pune Porsche case. Back then ' illegal Bangladeshi migrants ' werent a thing so it had to be the driver. If you're gonna defend him you should be saying it wasn't him it was the driver 😆

It is very amusing to see how on social media/ discussion forums the word nepotism clouds their judgement on acting talent of a nepokid.

Some of them are trying too hard to prove a nepokid is not a nepokid or he has never got any privileges. And the way some of them are dodging it as if nepotism is some abusive word.

Vicky as an AD in Gangs of Wasseypur was him exercising his nepo privilige. Just embrace it and move on.

Neither do I like the prejudice before the release of any promotional material of their debut.I don't mind the criticism after.

None of the three mentioned for the poll had chosen to be born to parents with working or family ties to the filmindustry.

All the three have given good performances in the field of work they chose (acting). If there is 'nepo'-privilege, it doesn't come from Ranbir, Ranveer or Vicky, it is given to them from others. Respective to their work, they have to deliver - at least on the acting front...and imo, all three do it.

The connections or building relationships is important in this industry.

4 categories hain.

Starkids - The public in general and now due to internet know them whether they venture into movie industry or not.

Insiders - producer's/director's/writer's/action director's/music director's/cinematographer 's kids. There might be some who have gone through struggles/ their families might have faced financial problems but don't tell me that they have never used nepo privilege at all in their career.

Outsiders with connections - kids of personalities from sports/politics/ business and other fields. Social gathering helps them build connections. Some of them bring sponsors, some bankroll their kids movie. Majority of outsiders actively working fall under this.

True blue outsiders - no connections.There are very very few. Most of them have to worry about rent, scope in this field etc. Some compromise with their dreams move to other medium while some leave the industry.

Level: starkids > insiders > outsiders with connections

Ranbir comes under 1st category and Vicky comes under 2nd.
