Durga, yes as i said in some of my earlier commments that was my whole take too that he somehow wanted to tie her to himself and make her unavailable to shyam.
The mention of the live in thing here was to substantiate that he was not the initial asr since indi thought that way. The bet was those few days when he was shown pained a lot and we didn't know what he would do.. There was a chance of him going back to the initial avatar and insult her by asking for a live in, like during the remarriage the supense whether he would marry her or leave her at the altar was maintained until that day before they got married. In both instances he didn't turn back to the ultimate monster.. Ofcourse that may have made him unredeemable. Anx btw, if he did ask her for live in i dont think khushi would have agreed. He used a bait that she would at least consider 😃

Durga, you got the crux of it so very apt again..loved your pondering about the questions without answers..and cherry on the cake is the last line.. she is not Shyam's lover but his wife now.. if he couldn't get her in love , he would by marriage..I remember your telugu poem for Khushi's pain these epis.. that was fab..thanks durga.
