ASYA Wedding Insulting Islam? NOPE. - PLEASE READ!

okay so I have seen many topics where people are just saying and are getting offended by the "rasams" that are happening in show for ASYA's wedding.

Okay so first of all what I would like to mention is that, CULTURE & RELIGION ARE 2 DIFFERENT THINGS GUYS.. SERIOUSLY.

When people are saying "oh its only mehndi nikaah valima in Islam why they showing rasm e saughat etc" uhmmm.. no

In Islam, a simple wedding is said which means that a big grand wedding isn't compulsry and so many functions isn't either compulsry so the people who can't affford big huge weddings with so many functions don't get left out or because of this don't get their son/daughters married.

A simple wedding I mean is a nikaah and valima. Thats all thats in Islam as far as I know since I haven't read anywhere where it states you need to have a mehndi, sangeet, dholki, etc.

So Valima - Nikaaah is in Islam which is a relgion. Qubool Hai is shown as a serial on Muslims and as long as they show Nikaah and Valima there should be no arguments.

Also you can't forget that this is A SERIAL. IT IS A MADE UP STORY. They are not showing anything which would insult Islam in the wedding process so you can not say that the wedding is Insulting Islam by showing different functions.

& People that say "oh in Islam its mehndi nikaah valima dohlki, etc"

That is part of your culture guys... Everyone willl add different functions to their wedding according to their religion which does not affect or insult Islam. As long as you have Nikaah and Valima, adding more functions before or after does not insult Islam.

The culture you belong to will do weddings according to it and being a Muslim they will also add the Nikaah - Valima

For those who don't know what Valima is.. its after the whole Nikaah/Baraat process which is the next day lol where the guys side has a party and theres a lot of foood for everyone and yeah lol

Okay I hope there are no more discussions on this as it is pretty obvious that Gul is not insulting Islam by adding more functions to the wedding.


Also, I am a Muslim and have relatives from different backgrounds ( some of them are indian, bengali, indonesian, canadian, american)


Also, please no tamatars! LOl like I just wanted to state this because its getting highly annoying with people making so many posts about this. seriously.. this is a show -_- Like enjoy the show and I and many people do not see anything wrong in whats going on so far.


Also, some people are like why dont they show them praying namaz, etc. UHm I am not sure lol But everyone already knows Muslims pray 5 times a day (well theyre suppose too) And honestly... now a days SOME people don't even bother following what Islam says even though that's their religon and we cant stop them or anything so why are we arguing over a show when its not showing anything that will harm or affect Islam.


and this show is about Asad and Zoya and their love lol I mean like everyone wants to see them not a whole show on a religion. ALso the show is about a muslim family and they aren't showing anything that would make people mad or disgracing Islam.. so no point in arguing cutie pies :) <3

Yes religion and culture is not the same there's a huge difference!! The PH should atleast make a disclaimer cuz I hate the fact that they have called it a Muslim Social Drama so people who don't know about Islam will think that this is Islam but it's definitely NOT!! They made a disclaimer for their show Geet so why not for Qubool hai? 😕 I love the serial & Asya but there are few things which are giving a wrong image so a disclaimer is desperately needed!!

Your phrase 'now a days people don't even bother following what Islam says even though that's their religion' could create controversy. I personally believe most Muslims actually follow the religion properly, and only some don't, I'm sure that's probably what you meant, but it comes across as though you're saying no Muslims care about their religion.

I do agree though that people should try to relax. Only when there is something so completely wrong about Islam people should start worrying, but at the moment to me it all seems fine.

There is no mehndi in Islam, n nikah is also nt a function, its the procedure to get married. Walima is the only "function", and t is only a dinner from the grooms side, mainly given to the poor. Sangeet, Mehndi, Rukhsati all these functions are nt a part of Islam bt our culture.

lol thats what I just said.. and Valima isn't really for the poor... yeah u could give it to them too but its for the realatives...or I may be wrong but thats what I have seen, like during Valimas theres all the realitives and the guys side throws the party..

And L O L O L O L to the L O L (no offense!) Welll who am I to judge since God only knows whos good and bad but I would say 50/50 follow the religion properly and 50 don't. As far as I have seen people now a days lol its ridiculus! I am not even saying I am a perfect Muslim since no one is ever perfect. I do the best I can to be a good human being. At the end of the day, Allah decides who is good and who is bad.

I have read where it says, he would rather like a person who commits a sin and asks for forgiveness than a person who prays and brags about it. So then again, nothing can be said.

And a funny example lol that I have heard is "oh its Ramadhan I wont drink in Ramadhan I will continue after Ramadhan cuz i have to fast in the holy month"

The whole wedding in the serial insulting Islam part was annoying me since I don't believe at all it is and plus its just a show so please relax and enjoy :) No hard feelings to anyone.

Good post.
I remember someone saying "QH is a story of families who happened to be Muslims. Not a story if Muslim families".
People have to keep that in mind. They have showed namaaz when required, they can't show it everyday.
