Good post.
I remember someone saying "QH is a story of families who happened to be Muslims. Not a story if Muslim families".
People have to keep that in mind. They have showed namaaz when required, they can't show it everyday.

Yeaaah and people watch the show for ASYA not to watch people praying lol (no offense)

Hi, Recently started watching the show to kill boredom

My two bits - yes, there's only Nikaah & Walimah in Islam. Rasms are done for the families to enjoy their happiness together. When my dadima got married, (about 90 yrs ago), the rasms started 2-3 weeks before the actual nikaah & continued for another couple of weeks. Entire families used to come & stay together & help in the preparations. Shadi took place in the homes.

Nowadays, people don't have so much time, therefore the rasms too have gotten reduced. Also a north Indian nikaah & rasms will be hugely different from that of a south Indian one. Similarly Indian nikaah will be vastly different from an Arab one or French or German.

And L O L O L O L to the L O L (no offense!) Welll who am I to judge since God only knows whos good and bad but I would say 50/50 follow the religion properly and 50 don't. As far as I have seen people now a days lol its ridiculus! I am not even saying I am a perfect Muslim since no one is ever perfect. I do the best I can to be a good human being. At the end of the day, Allah decides who is good and who is bad.

I have read where it says, he would rather like a person who commits a sin and asks for forgiveness than a person who prays and brags about it. So then again, nothing can be said.

And a funny example lol that I have heard is "oh its Ramadhan I wont drink in Ramadhan I will continue after Ramadhan cuz i have to fast in the holy month"

LIKE WHAT ! LOL ARE U SERIOUS BRAH -____- ANyways no offense to anyone from this post at alll.

The whole wedding in the serial insulting Islam part was annoying me since I don't believe at all it is and plus its just a show so please relax and enjoy :) No hard feelings to anyone.

That's fair enough. It's your perception and I respect that.

People who drink and such are more from the younger generation, those that are so rich that they don't care about religion and those that are simply Muslim by name.

I guess it also depends where you are from. Where I live most of the Muslims actually follow the religion properly, and then there are those who try to follow it but do commit sins, everyone makes mistakes. I'm also a Bengali, and since Bangladesh is a Muslim majority country, you usually find that people follow the religion more closely. I don't live in Bangladesh, I live in England, but where I live there is a Bengali community, and most follow the religion as properly as they can, but no-one is perfect.

its obvious these people aren't doing anything accurately to Islam. they aren't insulting the religion nor are they saying these ceremonies are a part of Islam. so let them do whatever they want. this show isnt representing Islam, it is representing a Muslim family. the characters are not orthodox so why hold such expectations from them. if everything on this show was done according to Islam then well this wud be a very different show.
if you want to know about Islam then open the Holy Qur'an and read about the beautiful religion. I really don't understand why anyone would look to a fictional tv show to learn about a religion

also if they started putting up disclaimers for everything on this show that wasn't Islamic then they would have to have a disclaimer on the entire time.
