Would love to hear your opinions on this…😃

Why did Dutta marry Naku first time?

He said it was a punishment for her and himself…I believe there was more to it…Dutta is a deep but kind of twisted character…there is always the other side of his character…

For me…Dutta was kind of afraid to loose Naku…

But…

What did you thought when you saw the episodes first time and then when you watch the episodes again.
😊

A thought provoking question Ani😊

Why did Dutta marry Naku...first time?

Dutta is a very complex character...so there is no easy answer. Wouldn't want to take the scene at face value...his marrying her purely for punishment or in a fit of rage. My two cents worth...

When DSP said that marriage was a punishment for Naku's dhokha and also for his stupidity bec failed to see through her friendship ...he actually believed it Well the hot headed gadha that he is.😆

I believe, that Dutta was already slowly falling in love with the simple compassionate girl. He was comfortable with her and had opened his heart out to her (seema and post seema...) If it was love at almost first sight for Naku towards her savior, God and first upright man she had ever met..Dutta was also fascinated by this calm, small yet brave girl...remember the momentary eye lock in the car (first meeting) and his holding her hand and drawing strength, when he was shot.

IMO, Dutta was always thanda and forced in his interaction with Sups. He required the prodding of either a naku, or a baaji ..or bulldozing of AS to do something for her. naku had to tell him to appreciate the karanji and but a tofah for her..which Naku had to select.

No one had to tell him how to behave around naku..good, bad, and trying to be indifferent😆 all came naturally to him.

And, yes..Dutta did not want to lose Naku..only it took Anna's kidnapping of naku to for the realization to start what life without her would mean😲😆

DHOKA DHOKA DHOKA, you didn't mentioned in your question wala post that you're going to open a new thread, what did you thought you'll escape from my bak bak and carry on the discussion peacefully...plan flopped. I'm pasting my post here...enjoy baby😆

As far as your question is concerned, from the professional point of view, I guess they didn't had any other option other than showing the marriage that way. I mean the concept of a man and women unwillingly getting married is no new to Indian television, the only place where one could be different from others is the situation under which they get married. Every thing else has been already attempted by the soap queen, be it bride swapping, agreement marriage, marriage for the sake of izzat etc, etc. So, may be in order to show some thing new, they made tasha marry this way...and they actually succeeded, It worked for me.

And if we talk about character analysis then IMO, clearly he didn't married her out of anger or for the sake of revenge (wholely), no ways.
At that time he had three options other than marrying her, 1. he throws her out of his life 2. he kills her.3. he let goes her
The first two he was finding impossible to do...and about the third one, his big fat "don complex" was restricting him to do that too. So, once again showing that DSP has a masters degree in unpredictability, he married her, which according me was out of love itself, love which was budding deep down his heart, love, which he himself was unaware of.
Everytime I had watched the show I had the above stated opinion.

Great thread ani. Looking forward to some of the very crisp opinions and point of views.

@ivy: well said👏

i always feel ..naku matter more for him than supriya ...he was more hurt bcoz naku disappoint him..rather than sups betrayal him...taking his under eye we can easily notice ..there no person his life rather baji who actually know dutta ...everyone else always worship him or respect him as savior ...nuku was first one who bring back that original dutta ..thats why he was deeply attach to her. i bet if sups was not in life ..this friendship was gonna end as love... so he just misunderstood his feeling and he thought he was going emotional turmoil ..result into marriage ...i am still confuse weather he was punishing her or punishing himself for trusting her😆😆😆 ...great topic ani ..love to read all views 👏👏👏

Word Ivy…I agree with you.😃👍🏼

He was more hurt over Naku's betrayal than Supriya disappearing. Like Naku…he also felt something for Naku…he just did not know what it was. Maybe it was not love in the beginning but something more deep and more value for him...like trust and the real Dutta in him...she awaken.

It was the thing about that she was not afraid of him…she did things for him because she wanted to and saw him differently…not like a scary don.

But that day….when he finally believed that she was behind all this…I think he could not bear the feeling that Naku…also…betrayed him.

On one hand Kala was saying punish her and Dutta always punish people hard who betray him…but on the other hand he was very hurt and confused and did not understand how Naku could do this to him.

I have always said that the beauty of Dutta's character is…that he is feared by everyone but the thing that is his weakness and that can destroy him…is a women's betrayal…and what he need and seek in life is a women's love.😊

Two women he loved…showed he loved…betrayed him…but then this women who claimed to love him and did all this (as he in the end kind of believed)…I think…he just did not wanted to let her go.

About all what he did to Naku afterward…I think he was testing her love and not because he was punishing her.

But…

He was kind of punishing himself…I always thought that Dutta had some kind of hate for himself and kind of anger toward God…that why he goes out and put his life in danger.

One scene I love was...when Dutta put his hands on Naku's face and say to her...that he want to see in her eyes and see himself the way she seems him.😍

Sana and Aish...agree with you both.👍🏼😊

Aish...Priya came with the idea of an thread and I thought that...why not...love to hear everyone's opinions on this.😊

Aish...I agree that it was a twist...but MR did the scenes so well and gave so many layers that in every scene...with the anger he was giving the vulnerability to make you understand Dutta's action and where he was coming from and not as a bad guy but as a broken and very hurt man.

Love the way you put op the three options and I agree...he had to punish her in front of everyone to keep his image...but no way that he would be able to let her go.😊

Raj waiting for your post...😊

Nimmi would love to hear from you too...😃

Tamanna...good point...👍🏼... about Dutta punishing Naku for pushing him toward Supriaya...showing him false dreams and hopes...Dutta giving Supriya a chance was because of Naku.

Dutta's own instinct was telling him that Supriya was not being all honest about her feelings toward him.

Word Ani👍🏼.

Naku's betrayal was like "et tu brute" .. or rather it one step worse because it was like Dutta was betraying himself.
In a way Dutta considers Naku to be his conscience and soul. Dutta is unable to see the goodness in him..it is only through naku that he feels like a human who is worthy of love.

Great question, funny thing is I started watching this show exactly on that epi where he marries her the first time, so this is when I was first introduced to the faces of these characters and I rememember thinking about this very question ...

My take would be that yes there was definitely more to this than what what there appeared to be on the surface. The fact that it was out of anger, frustration, and learning he was betrayed yet again like always..it was his way and the easiest means of punishment for the both of them in some sense. He did it to himself for the fact he believed he was so blind that again he trusted someone he shouldn't have, he became a fool yet again in his mind and with Naku it was simply for the sake of saying punishment through his torturing...

All this was on the surface but when I really think about it I can't help but think he had always such a strong connection with Naku that on the inside his intention was to not lose her although him being gadha did not see that to begin with...we all know Dutta-Naku relationship from the very began had naturally fallen into place...and Ivy even mentioned how no one was forced upon each other in this relationship, which was the beauty of it...it just happened...with that said when this whole issue of Sups running with the help of Naku made him react not to the fact that Sups ran but rather the fact that Naku helped. It was like he could absolutely careless about Sups but he was hurt mostly by fact that it was Naku, his every word and reaction to the situation was revolving around Naku's so called betrayal because he had accepted her so much that it hurt him in the place he refuses to believe exists ...his heart...but it just so happened I think his very action of marrying her came from his heart for the reason of not losing her but was masked by thoughts in his mind, his own reasoning for why he did it was what we were told on the surface. DSP is a man who after Seema's betrayal thought through his mind and neglected the use of his heart especially in such matters...to him love...marriage...is no longer something blissful but rather painful which makes sense in the long run to why he would make that connection that marriage is a punishment...

I found his only weakness was he that he broke easily when finding out truths of those he trusted blindly and that was due to the fact again that he always took into account the facts presented to him rather than just thinking from his instincts, like would she do it...and he did doubt it which was seen through his breakdown and questioning and even saying her to speak up I feel he was in disbelief, his words of questioning her how can a friend to that ? it was like he was quesitioning himself really because I think even he knew somewhere that she wouldn't but as things unfolded it was like everything was against her...but in the end it was the facts that his mind processed because the heart is what he ignored. And then finally that moment where he was almost fed up of hearing it and angry and frustrated with everything that he felt the right thing to do is punish him for bring a fool and her for helping ...so he went ahead with marriage in mind...named punishment by the mind and a relationship by the heart ...

that was my thought on it...basically deep down he wanted so much NOT to lose her yet his priority was to punish her...

P.S woah first time I have ever written something discussing the show 😆
normally just write I agree...hit the like button...and am out 😛
