He married her coz everybody wanted him to punish her unintentionally to save her from harshness he married her

Daya…love your post and your view…😃

You made a very good and new point. That for Dutta…marriage and love is not something blissful but rather painful and that is why he made the connection that marriage is a punishment.

I also agree…...in the end it was too much for him…especially Supriya's letter…I felt so bad- Supriya did deserve to be punish…. because she did not have to go so far that she did.😔

If you think about how hard and how much emotions he put in when he took Supriya's hand…just before they went to the "mandir"…and then thinking about how he must have felt hearing the letter and how she felt when he took his hand…it was heartbreaking.😔

ok i missed lot many episodes in supriya track😳.. i couldn't see dutta walking down path of heartbreak, naku's sadness, and supriya and ravi on screen. i could have slapped ravi then supriya and then ravi again.😡..

My take:

when dutta sees supriya's so-called body, he is still standing on his feet. i mean he is sad, hurt and all, but he is in control of his senses.

now remember what happens in anna's den..

he thinks anna shot naku. she falls down and dutta runs towards her screaming her name. he takes her head in his lap and goes "naku". the fear in his voice was total. and when she says Saab... his broken and deep breathes.. even when he says "anna nahi!" pleading and desperate when anna is about to shoot naku.. THAT was love... THAT was the fear you feel when you realize you lost your love.

Dutta never felt such love for supriya... maybe if she stayed on and married him he would have been happy and in love with her. but that love would not been a patch on what he felt for naku later.

so why did he marry naku..

he was hurt, angry and wild with the sense that he was betrayed not as much by supriya but by the person he opened up after 10 long years. a person he allowed to befriend him and even bully him . a person who was his friend, one friend who understood him as he is. Naku...

he married her to punish himself for trusting her so totally and to punish her breaking his trust so totally.

his anger is his fatal flaw...

if only naku said.. no i dont love you and no i didn't do it... i think he would have let go..

at that moment he hated the concept of love..

that triggered the marriage...

a lot of things come to mind while I read such posts but I never end up posting it :S i really dunno why...but anyway quite like this post...all the views are interesting ...

and you're right about the letter scene...for sure that letter really got to him for it not only showed just how fake the love of this girl was but it also dragged another being into it ...someone that he had accepted so completely in his life...it all came at once for him...

Very deep and very hard question Ani 😊
I believe there is no easy way to put the answer for it. DSP is a character with so many different shades. If you look from one side, you can conclude he's a complex one but from the other side, he's just a kid. It happened to me actually. During the first marriage, i felt how cruel he was in marrying the poor girl without even looking at insight of the real truth. Here's what i think about his decision:

Before Nakusha's arrival, Dutta as dutta bhau was a person who did not believe in love because of the deception by Seema. He used to drink day & night, didn't care about his life, didn't trust anybody and showed little mercy on enemies. Irrespective of his unconditional love for his mother and the rest of the family, he as a dutta bhau was tough like a stone. But it was nakusha who brought back the touch of love and trust in his life. We saw him changing into a person who actually went to Mall to buy gifts for his fiancee and not only that, ,,,, he was kind enough to buy gift for nakusha as a friend too. A completely changed person who, after fearless efforts from nakusha, pulled back his drinking habit. Most importantly, he again dreamed of having a married life with supriya.

But when he encountered the alleged deception from nakusha, he married her to show the true color of dutta bhau (according to him, dutta bhau is a curel person which we later realized is not true at all😊). He wanted to show nakusha that being a wife of Dutta bhau is the hardest job on earth. She has to be brave, heartless. "AAB TU SAMJHEGI DUTTA KI BIWI BANNA KYA HOTA HAIN" - as we remember 😆. And he actually justified the thing for the next 1 month when he used to take nakusha to different places to deal with enemies, handling guns & all. He literally showed no mercy on her. He said, the person inside dutta is dead now. WIth no emotions, no trust on others, no love, he's just bhau,,,dutta bhau...and thats what Kishore asked Nakusha to dig out the person from him again. Kishore believed in the true dutta and he wanted nakusha to bring back him once again. and the rest of the story is known by all. But one month after the marriage was really hard on nakusha.

I'll come back to read the replies...but to put it simply IMO Dutta married Naku as he couldnt let go of her. Any other option-killing her or sending her away meant to some other place meant letting go of her from his life. A some point he had become very dependant on her emotionally. Evethough he was getting married to Supriya you can say he was having an emotional affair with Naku. Even if he had married Supriya and had a happy married life he would have been able to let go of this 'affair'.

Nimmi love the way you mentioned Dutta's reaction when Supriya's body came and when he though Naku was shot.😊

I think with Supriya…it was the dream and the hope that got crush.

With Naku…clearly his love and care for her and the thought of loosing her...it scared him.

I agree…could not take Ravi and Supriya's scenes either…they where so long.🤢

Another thing…that made Dutta trust Naku even more…I believe it was after he told his story and she listen quietly and did not judge him or look at him differently but came to him at the night to stop him for drinking.😊
