Maaneet's Poetry

A poem begins with some memories, a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a heartache, an outlet for your expression.

Hello All,

The following poems have been written by me. Most of them were penned down while reading your FF's on Maan and Geet. Your FF's have been a source of my inspiration and I was motivated to write these poems. Each one of these poems has touched a chord somewhere within me.

The Shadow of her Angel

(For Amruta's FF - Dancing from the Ashes)

She would be lost in his memories through days and nights

The pain of losing her love, the pain of being alone, only she knew

Her tears would never dry up and her sobs would never stop heaving

A lonely soul is what she had become from the beginning of dusk to the ending of dawn

Her pain would only heighten in the dark shadows of the night

Reminding her of him, their laughs and their lives together

She had forgotten to smile, to laugh and to mingle

She had forgotten to live, to trust, and to take a chance

She stood rooted in her past terrified of taking a step forward

Her identity had become the lonesome dark shadows of her being

She had become the quiet soul which diminished day by day

He had seen her years ago as a bubbly, smiling and happy girl

Now she had changed into a lifeless, listless, cold and lonely soul

Her pain would tug at his heart making him cringe throughout the days

Her tears would reach his soul causing his heart to churn from within

He wanted to bring her out, from the behind the walls of pain and grief

He wanted to sooth, ease and take her pain away

She danced alone that night shedding her repressed pain and grief

He danced behind her in her shadows being with her in each and every step

Cocooning her in his wings when she had almost given up on herself

He become her silent angel in disguise unknowingly

She cried and broke down in his arms flowing away in her pain and grief

Unaware that he stepped into her life as a silent ray of the sun

Unaware that he would be treading along with her on the path that lead to colourful rainbows

Unaware that the angels were waiting for her to trust, take a chance and move a step forward.

Unaware that the angels were waiting for him to hold her, reassure her and wisk her away into a different world.

I do not have any on that...i sent u email...now i cannot do pictures either...this is pain yaar...urghhh same thing with pics..

A Chance

(For Shaheda's FF - 24 Hours)

They were both from different worlds

They both lived different lives

She could only afford simple things

Whereas he could buy the world and make it spin around him

Both lived with the memories of their painful past

While blinking tears from time to time

His life always revolved around his work

With not a moment spared for anything else

She had fallen for him in the last few months

And her life was filled with dreams of him and him only

The nights haunted her with his dreams

While the days made her restless working beside him

She wondered if she would ever get a chance to tell him

How she felt about him

She waited and waited hoping the day would come

Finally the heavens showered the blessings upon her

And gave her a chance, one chance

To make him see the world from her eyes

And to show him how much she cared

And here she was standing today in front of him

With a millon dollar smile while butterflies fluttered in her stomach

Thanking her stars for letting him be beside her

For the next 24 hours ... while seeing the world through her eyes!

Salvation

(For Muskanp's FF - Dreams)

Dear God,

I feel burdened, burdened under the weight of your divine blessings

You seem to continuously shower me with your celestial blessings

I do not even come close in deserving these blessings my dear Lord

I feel that a mistake, a mistake has been made in your Kingdom

I only belong in the Kingdom of Hell from where there is no turning back

Whereas you have let me live by bringing me through the Gates of Heaven

Dear God,

How can you be so merciful upon me after all the deeds I have done?

After all the sins I have committed, after all the hearts I have pierced with my own hands?

I beg you, do not spare me, I plead to you, because I do not deserve forgiveness

Yet, you continue to shower me with your blessings.. over and over again.

You brought an angel, a heavenly angel in my life

She encircled my life with her love, respect and kindness

Her heart as big as the vast ocean, engulfed my unspeakable crimes within her soul

She gave me her love, her care and her concern ..unconditionally

She forgave me for my sins and my crimes

You gave me a second life within my angel

A life that has a part of me and a part of her

A life that is so pure as her, yet tainted with the sins of mine

Today her and our child were on the verge of breathing their last breaths

Yet, you continued to shower me with your blessings by keeping them alive.

They are embedded in my life, in my veins and in my soul.

And, I cannot live without them at all.

Dear Lord,

What should I do? I do not deserve to live and yet I cannot leave them alone in this world

Lord, I beg for redemption bowing my head in thy feet while lying on my knees

Lord, is there any chance for me? Any at all?

My head is leaning with the weight of guilt and shame

Lord, is there any chance for me? Any at all?

For salvation!

My eyes close, waiting for your response

My heart beats slow waiting for your response

My breath comes out in gasps waiting for your response

I see white lights in front of me waiting for your response

My Geet and my child seem hazy waiting for your response

Lord, is there any chance for me? Any at all?

For salvation!
