In real life it's actually pretty hard for people SO different from each other to actually end up getting together.
I don't think J.K Rowling did anything wrong in killing of beloved characters. It is heartbreaking and morbid, but it reflects the nature of the books and the situation. Towards the end of the series Harry Potter is no longer a fun magical children's series, but has matured into a darker and mature young adult series. The untimely and tragic deaths reflect this tremendous growth in the series. Without it Harry Potter would remain a series meant for younger sheltered audiences. In fact I am from the school of thought that the ending with the most impact would have been one where Harry himself died.
Of course she ruins everything with the clichd "happily ever after" ending in the epilogue. It has been quite an ordeal erasing the epilogue from memory.
As for the relationships, there are some I like and some I don't. I don't care too much about them either way though. Most people perceive characters and character relationships differently so people are bound to feel that a different pairing would have been better. I personally think Harry/Luna would have been much better as I'm not too fond of Ginny as a character. Hermione and Ron seem a bit too awkward of a couple for me, but I don't find it too bad. I think the book would have had more depth if she also delved into dating and romantic interests for the darker characters like Draco Malfoy. A love interest for Draco would have been the perfect foil to take us into his mind as he shares his perceptions on things with the ones he loves.

Whats confusing about Remus & Sirius? 😕
All about Sirius getting all the attention, even though Remus loved Harry heaps too. Like, what Mihika's mentioned in her botheration. I am confused, I dun think I buy it, though. Harry has a high regard for both.
