Sirius, Remus, Tonks, Dumbledore, Fred...they were very close to Harry. You can't say they weren't close to Harry. 😕

It was Remus, Tonks & Fred's deaths that affected him the most after the battle. How can anyone forget that? 😆😆

I've seen that certain members have begun criticizing JKR's style of writing, and that is against the forum rules. It's fine if you have your own opinions on the couples she created or the storyline in general, but please try not to be insensitive to other members' sentiments or even JKR. After all, without her we wouldn't have this series, would we?😊

Any more criticism that sounds unjustified to me will force me to lock this topic, and I don't want to do that since we're all having quite an interesting discussion.😳 So please mind what you say next time.
Thank you,

Death need not occur with only friends to make an impact...after all, the Weasleys were all like Harry's family since they were the first to take him under wing after he entered the Wizarding World. I reckon Fred's death felt like a brother's death to Harry, and both Remus and Sirius were like Harry's fathers, since they were part of the Marauders and knew his father better than anyone did. Their deaths too probably cut through his heart terribly.
Losing Ron and/or Hermione would have been too cliche, because while Wars have deaths, they also have survivors and Harry's side already lost more than an adequate number of people.

You have your say, I have mine. In my opinion, harry and hermione are more like siblings. And I don't give two flying caps if someone wrote a book about hermione's feelings. LOL. JKR has written romance. But it wasn't her top priority. It was like a tiny sub-plot. She didn't give romance that importance and frankly, It's really not the couples i care about. But if she decides to write romance novels (which i don't think will happen :p) then i bet they're going to be awesome. You cannot judge her by what she wrote in harry potter because she was obviously too wrapped up in the actual story.

And it sort of angers me how you say that killing lupin, tonks, SIRIUS, DUMBLEDORE wasn't important! I'm saying it again, DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH IT HURTS TO LOSE SOMEONE YOU LOVE? What you wrote sounds so insensitive. Don't you know what Sirius meant to harry? What dumbledore meant to him? They were like his parental figures. It's not enough that he lost so much in the begining (his parents) now you want him to lose his best friends? That just sounds really really insensitive.

yeah i noe tht pretty well as much as nyone here does.
but ron/hermoine/neville/luna were awl thru wid him...just thnk had anyone been killed out of these..it wud have made the ending awl the more interesting...its my POV...sorry i dnt mean to hurt any senti's here.😊

harry/draco??in wat sense wud they have been awesome?🤔

I would really like to disagree with people saying Ron and Hermione are absolute opposites. They are not. You could just say they're opposite in the fact that Hermione is a genius while Ron isn't? I think such pairings are pretty normal even in the real life.

But what makes Ron and Hermione stand out is despite their little tiffs most of the times, they've always had each others back. Hermione and Ron are a lot similar to each other if you take into account their inner personalities. Hermione is as impulsive as Ron would be if she is hurt.

And as for understanding, these two have known each other since they were 11. They've stuck with each other through thick and thin. Always. I feel they're the perfectly imperfect couple, and they both complement each other really well. And Ron isn't immature. He can be really protective when it is required. For example, Deathly Hallows. Hermione was completely broken after Bellatrix tortured her and Ron was the stronger one who stood up for her and took care of her.

It just shows, no matter how much they bicker, these two will always have each other's backs and that's what makes them the most charming couple in the series! Just my opinion :)

btw, this particular part from HBP is really cute 😆
'Hermione, you are honestly the most wonderful person I've ever met,' said Ron weakly, 'and if I'm ever rude to you again -'
'- I'll know you're back to normal,' said Hermione.

^I love how she just knows how to tackle him most of the times 😆
