I definitely think this is the WORST that could happen to DMG, with Dr. Atul leaving.... It's beyond disappointing. Actually it's miserable.... And not even a proper ending. This is how my favourite character is treated in the show I watched for 3 years just for that one character and Anjali, of course....

I'll miss seeing you as Atul Pankit Bhaiyya, and maybe this is the end of this show for me too.... However, I do respect your decision, because I've always felt that you never got the track and the storyline you deserved throughout in this show....It's better not to see Dr. Atul than to see him being ill-treated and sidelined.....

I hope you get all the success in the world and you will always be my favourite actor.... Always.
