 Shaad Ali may have made romantic films like Bunty aur Babli (2005) and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom (2007), but his own love life is quite a damp squib. Shaad married Shahzneen Hussain from whom he separated before dating Manmohan Shetty's daughter Pooja for a short while. He then moved on to Aarti Pathak with whom he recently broke up too.In January 2006, Shaad married Shahzneen, his childhood sweetheart, at Lucknow. However, they didn't get along too well after marriage. Shahzneen used to suggest creative inputs for Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, but they reportedly had a few showdowns on the sets of the film and the two soon separated. Shaad then started courting Pooja but they called off their relationship soon. Our source says, "A girl with a non-filmi background, Aarti entered Shaad's life. They were quite open about their relationship for over a year and were spotted together a couple of months ago, but something seems to have gone wrong now. They have recently broken up." Currently, Shaad is busy assisting Mani Ratnam on the Abhishek and Aishwarya Bachchan starrer, Raavana. While he was unavailable for comment, one of his close friends said, "Shaad and Aarti have parted ways." |
