Smriti's formula fails

No basti and nukkad please!

Smriti Iraani's Thodi Si Zameen Thoda Aasman is going off air. Not surprising because the basti theme is not the most popular theme among audiences today.

It may have worked during the Nukkad days, but to have it in the current times is a bit boring, ain't it? Smriti's got to come up with some interesting and more contemporary story ideas to rake in TRPs.

I rather prefer serials don't go on endlessly. A good story can be spoiled if it keeps getting stretch needlessly. A finite time frame allows the writer and director to construct a serial that flows nicely from start to it's logical end without losing quality. Perhaps it would have been better if Smriti had created this serial to end after 1.5-2 years or so. She should have made this clear from Day 1. That way she wouldn't have had to rush things and there would be no question of "failing" anything. Oh well, better luck next time. 😊
