Okay! I have been watching this show since it first aired. I am being to hate this show. I have never seen such backless males in my life. they run to little daddy for every freak'in thing. I wonder if Manoj asks MS on how one should use restroom. What a joke. If the story line does not improve i will stop watching.

I've been watching this show for quite some time now and its probably the most interesting serial on Indian Television. This might be naive of me to say, but I think the shows depiction of a fued between the femenine and masculine is largely fascinating and touches upon highly sensitive matters (ie. money, equality, & honour). These issues are very real, and its treatment(on part of the TV show) is gentle enough without going overboard with fabricated responses.

The attitudes of the male figures in the show plays more like a parody of the minds/ exaggeration that is employed in real life. The funniest was when Amar needed "Babuji's" permission if he could start having babies with his wife. HA! 😆

it was Manoj not Amar who needed MLs's permission to have babies with his wife.

Unfortunately, this happens in real life too...and very often than not it is the mother-in-law that has to give permission to the son to have babies....

I think many of you misunderstood what I was saying. Yeh I get the point that it tries to mirror life of manyhomes in india, usa, Uk and else where. What I do not get is how the women keep themselves so submissive and continue to accept the father as a respectable
figure in the house. How do you respect someone who tells your husband to have a make pretend affair? All the ladies come from a well establish family and are educated. Thank you for all who responded to my post.
