Jothi stays at the Home and as usual stands against a pillar and thinks. One of the inmates tell her to go get food but she just stands there. The administrator too tells her to eat as she needs energy and finally Jothi goes and stands in line for food with the other inmates and takes the tray handed to her by ther server and is in tears. She sits with the others and eats. She chokes on her food and the lady beside her offers water and says someone is thinking about her but Jothi says there is no one and if there is she would not be there.

Radha is doing her prayers and Rekha tells her mother she has urgent work and goes downstairs and says goodbye to her son. Rekha walks out and drives off in her car. A car passes her and stops at the entrance and Ram gets out. He walks in with an arrogant face. Radha walks down the stairs and talks to Santosh. The door bell rings and Radha opens the door and is shocked to see Ram standing outside. Ram smiles and calls her aunty but she turns her face and closes the door on Ram's face.

Ram pushes the door open and goes inside calling her. Ram quickly falls at her feet. Radha calls her maid and tells her to ask Ram go go out. Ram runs behind her and says he has no one but her and Rekha. Radha tells him not to lie and to go to his parents. Ram says only his mother loves him and she too is missing. Radha reminds him about his attitute when they needed his help. Ram says he was confused and he was not himself and asks for forgiveness. Radha says that she cannot forget what he did and said. Ram says he has now turned a new leave and jail has taught him a good lesson and now he has come to unite for Rekha. Radha tells how Ram had married Kasthuri, then Rekha and then gone after Simi and that too in front to Rekha. Ram pleads with his crocodile tears. Radha still says she cannot forgive him. Ram says he only thinks about his son and blames his father for his behavior. Ram tries son sentiment on Radha and looks like Radha is softening. He says he will be very happy if Rekha accepts him back and he needs Radha's help. Radha says in the begining, she had supported Ram eventhough she knew Ram for what he is. Radha tells Ram that she always wants Rekha to be happy and will talk to her but does not promise anything. Ram goes out with a smirk on his face. Radha goes into thinking mode.

Radha thinks about her conversation with Ram. She thinks about Ram saying he is back because of his son. Rekha returns and sees Anandhi with her son. She asks Anandhi why she is still there as she was supposed to go somewhere. Anandhi says she had to wait for Rekha as Radha is not well. Rekha goes to her mother and ask what is wrong. Radha says she is thinking about Rekha's future after her. Rekha asks if anyone came when she was not home and who it was. Radha tells her mapillai came. Rekha tells her now she understands why her mother is restless and it is because if Ram. She asks her mother why she allowed him in and why did not chase him out. She asks her mother if she has forgotten what Ram has done to them. Radha tells Rekha that Ram came without being asked and wants Rekha to accept him. Rekha gets angry and asks her mother how she can believe Ram. Radha says Ram could have turned over a new leaf but Rekha says no way. She tells her mother if her mother wants her to suffer in life. Radha starts her old polambal about Rekha needs a husband. She asks Rekha if she wants to remarry but Rekha says she has lost believe in marriage and says she does not need a husband and she can live her life happy without Ram and leaves. Radha back to her thinking mode. THODARUM.

Jothi is in her room on the bed. Another lady comes there and gives her a saree. Jothi refuses but the lady asks her to take as Jothi has been wearing the same saree for a few days. Jothi asks the lady if she has no relatives and is told the inmates at the home are her relatives. The lady then tells her sad story and Jothi cries.

Radha is at home playing with Santhosh. Ram comes in and calls Santhoshbut Santhosh moves away. Ram says even his son has forgotten him. Radha tells her maid to take Santosh in and she tells her mapillai to sit down. Ram asks if she had spoken to Rekha. Radha says she had but Rekha will not listen. Radha asks if there is any news about Jothi and Ram says he has been looking for his mother but doesn't know where she is. He says that Kasthuri had ill treated his mother and chased her out. Radha tells him to stop blaming Kasthuri and says that Kasthuri had taken careof Jothi like herown mother but Jothi had misunderstood and left without anyone knowledge. Radha also says that Jothi should not love Ram as much as she does because he does not deserve it. Radha then tell Ram to try talking to Rekha himself and and says Rekha has gone to the temple.

Ram goes to the temple and meets Rekha and tells her he wants to talk to her but Rekha tells him she is suprised to see himlooking for her as he wouldbe running after rich women. Ram tells her he is there to talk to her but Rekha ignores and moves on. Ram follows and tells her he wants to talk to her. He tells her that he is now a changed man and wants to askher forgiveness. Rekha asks what is wrong with him because when she went to see him in jail, he had told her that both she and Kasthuri are his enemies. Ram tells her that he feels ashamed for saying that. He says only Kasthuri has treated him badly but Rekha on the other hand is not like that. In fact Ram says that he was alway happy with Rekha. He tells her she should forget about the past and take oath at the temple that they willunite and live happy. Rekha tells Ram that her father had always told her not to trust anyone who says he has turned over a newleaf,whether good or bad. Ram says that is all in the past. Rekha tells Ram not to try to cheat her by saying he has changed. Rekha tells Ram that she is not a fool.

Ram tells Rekha that Kasthuri is not a good person and asks if Rekha knows where she got all her money. Ram continues saying that the police have started to investigate Kasthuri's financial status. Rekha tells Ram why he is so concerned about her and Rams ays she is his wife. He tells Rekha that all their problems had begun with Kasthuri. Ram then tells Rekha to tell him about Kasthuri so that he can help if need be. Rekha tells him off saying she knows he wants to get news about Kasthuri that is why he is pretending to be nice and tells himto get lost and walks off.

Everyone at the home are taking group photo and Jothi is asked to join them. Jothi refuses at first but agrees after they force her to. Ram meets Soma in jail and tells him about hisfailure to convince Rekha and to find out about Kasthuri. Soma tells Ram that Kasthuri is a very smart person. He says that Kasthuri's strength is her loyal employees and that he has no one like that. He then tells that he has even taken in strays who hadno food or place tolive and help them to come up in live but they are not loyal to him. Ram just listens and tells Soma it is not like that and he will try his best to win Rekha over and leave. THODARUM

Dec 18 (Thurs:)

Soma tells Ram that he has already hired someone to kill Kasthuri and the guy is now looking or her and will kill her at the right time. Ram is shocked but asks why go to that extent. Soma says why the sudden compassion and if Ram is thinking to uniting with Kasthuri. Ram says he will never do that but they should not go to the extent of killing her. Soma says he does not care but wants Kasthuri dead. Ram tells Soma that a famous lawyer is coming from Delhi and will ask his help to bring him out but Soma refuses saying, he wants Kasthuri dead. Ram leaves.

The man looking for Kasthuri is on the phone and ses Kasthuri passing by in her car. He starts shouting and runs after the car but the car speeds by without seeing him. Jothi isstill crying in the home. Paces the floor.

Rekha, Amirtha, Ganesh and Bharath are in sitting and looking at each other's face. Kasthuri comes there and asks if they have any news about Jothi. The security guard comes in and says some people from the Annai Illam are there to see them. Amirtha goes out and asks them what they want and the man tells Amirtha that they have arranged for a function at their home and wants to invite Kasthuri as their guest of honor. Amirtha says Kashturi is very busy now and would not be able to come. The man says they have come with so much hope. Amirtha tells them to wait and goes in and tells Kasthuri about them and if to ask them to come to the office. Kasthuri tells Amirtha to bring them in and she talks to them. The man hands over some photos taken at the home but Kasthuri just sees the first which is the building and returns to the man. She tells the man she is unable to go to but will help with any funds they need. The man says she must come and finally the Kasthuri agrees. The man gives the photos to her and asks her to look at it when she is free and leaves. Kasthuri hand the photos Amirtha and she puts it into the envelope.

The man looking for Kashturi comes to the office and asks the receptionist if Kashturi is in the office and wants him to wait. The receptionist goes inside and informs Bharath and he tells her he will inform the police and come out. The man gets impatient and asks the receptionist if Kasthuri is really in and she tells him she will be out in a minute. He goes back to his seat.

Police inspector comes there and is taken to the man. The receptionist show the man to the police and say that he is the killer. The police search him and find a pistol. The man says he has licence to carry a weapon but does not have it on him now. The man insists he is not to kill Kashturi and she knows him very well. He asks them to call Simi. Amirtha and Rekha come there and Amirtha too says she had seen him looking for Simi. The man says they have misunderstood him but he is taken to the police station. At the police station, the inspector ignores him and talks on the phone. The man gets angry and asks why he is being held at the station. The inspector tells him he will be taken to court and will be explained there. The man says he is misunderstoon but no one listens to him and they put him in jail.

Kasthuri comes to the office and asks why is every looking for serious. Bharath tells her they have handed the man looking for her to the police. Kasthuri looks at the man in the video and tells them they have made a mistake. Kasthuri tells them he has actually come there looking for her and wants to know which police station he is in. Bharath and Rekha want to know who he is and how she knows him. Kasthuri telsl them there is no time to waste and they go to the police station. They arrive at the police station and Kasthuri is shocked to see him in jail and calls him. The man turns, smiles and says 'Simi'. THODARUM.

Everyone congregate to Kasthuri's front yard - closeup on each and everyone's face, one by one. Kasthuri turns to face them and tells them that she had thought he life was over with the acid incident and if not for Thiru, she would not be here. She tells them that Thiru was responsible for giving her the new face. Everyone look at Thiru. Kasthuri continues her story. She tells them that they all know that she came to India with the name Simi but don't know whose name it is. She says it belonged to Thiru's wife. She tells them how her doctor, Dr. Balaji had told her about Thiru who had agreed to give his wife's face to Kasthuri. She tells them she went to Thiru's house after she was discharged from the hospital.

When she arrived at the house, she first met Simi's father who was shocked to see her and called her Simi. Kasthuri introduces herself as Kasthuri and the man tells her he knows but he feels he is seeing his daughter. Kasthuri asks to see Thiru and when Thiru comes down he is totally shocked to see Simi and goes near her to give her a hug, but Kasthuri backs up. He immeidately appologizes and tells her that he felt as though his wife had come back. Kasthuri introduces herself and asks if she can see his wife. Thiru takes her to his room and show her the mirror and Kasthuri sees her face in the mirror. Kasthuri is shocked and both cry. Thiru tells Kasthuri that is his wife Simi's face. After a few moments, Thiru takes Kasthuri into another room and show her his wife's garlanded photograph.

Another shock for Kasthuri. Kasthuri goes to the photograph and touches the frame and cries. Thiru comes to her and Kasthuri asks him to tell her about Simi. Thiru tells her how happy both their life were. He tells her that he was born in India and educated in India. He had come to Singapore to do his MBA and that is where he had met Simi. Simi's mother died when she was very young. Both Thiru and Simi became friends and eventually fell in love. Her father got them married and he started a small software business. He was very happy with their life and their daughter Kavya was born and he had felt the luckiest manon earth, but never thought it would all change.

He tells her that the house which is now as quiet as a cemetary, was once a house full of happiness - flashback showing Simi playing with their daughter Kavya, running around the house. Simi father comes home and tells Simi to stop chasing Kavya but Simi continues to chase her. Thiru comes back from work. THODARUM.

Kasthuri asks Thiru about Kavya. Thiru tells her that Kavya misses her mother and wants Simi to come back. He is sad because he feels he should have told Kavya about his mother's death but he did not because he was afraid that Kasya may not take the shock. He tells Kasthuri that Kavya has heart problem and even Simi did not know about it. Kasthuri is shocked. She asks Thiru to bring Kavya to India and she will take care of her. Thiru hesitates saying it may pose problem to Kasthuri, but Kasthuri says not ot worry about all that and just to bring Kavya. Thiru agrees but says he will talk to his FIL first and then decide.

Kasthuri is in the office and Amirtha goes in and Kasthuri asks where Bharath and Rekha are. Amirtha says they are in a meeting. Kasthuri asks Amirtha for the days appointment and is told they are to go to the Annai Illam Home as they had promised. Kasthuri tells Amirtha to call Rekha and Kasthuri and they should all go together. Amirtha says they are in a meeting but Kasthuri calls them and says it is better to go together and calls them on the phone.

Kasthuri and gang arrive at the Home and is welcomed. The Administrator thanks Kasthuri for her time and her contribution to the home. Kasthuri asks how is their plan to contruct a new building going on. The man says that to build even a simple building would cost 5 lakhs. Kasthuri tells Amirtha to write a check for 10 lakhs and give to the man. The man is very thankful for the contirbution and tells Kasthurito hand out some clothings for the inmates.

Kasthuri refuses saying she does not like publicity but the inmates compel her and finally she agrees. Everyone comes one by one to accept the clothings. Jothi to comes but does not see Kasthuri at first. She comes near and looks up the same time Kasthuri and the others see her. Every one is shocked. THODARUM.

Kasthuri quickly goes to Jothi and asks why she is there. Jothi pushes her off and says that it is because of her that she is there. Jothi accuses her of hiring people to kill her and now is pretending to be a very nice and innocent person. The Administrator asks Jothi if she does not know who Kasthuri is. Jothi tells the man that she know who Kasthuri is and for him not to interfere. Rekha tells the man that Jothi is their aunty and they will handle the problem. Bharath too asks Jothi to come back with them but Jothi says why should she go back with them when he is there and both of them are having 'fun'. Everyone is shocked at Jothi's words and Amirtha tells Jothi she is mistaken. Kasthuri tells Jothi they can go home and talk things out. Ram comes there and takes Jothi's hands. Jothi is very happy to see him and follows him back. Ram brings coffee for his mother and tells her that he is happy that he has found her. He says he is now happy that at least now she knows about Kasthuri. Jothi agrees saying that they had mistaken her and had helped her. Jothi says that Masil would have come immediately if he had known about this. Ram says he would not have because to him Kasthuri is everything. Jothi says for Masil eveything is black or white. Ram says Masil will definitely come and tell them that Kasthuri had cheated him and leaves. Jothi back to thinking mode.

Rekha nd Bharath meet at the beach, Rekha asks why Bharath is worried. She says he is educated and should not feel bad about Jothi's words. Bharath says he is not worried about himself, he feels sorry for Kasthuri. Rekha says that Jothi has forgotten about Kasthuri's sacrifice because her love for her son has blinded her. Bharath wants to leave the place and go away but Rekha stops him saying it would only confirm Jothi's suspicions. He says now Kasthuri has to prove to be successful in her life. Rekha tells Bharath that he should stay with Kasthuri in order to help her to succeed. Rekha says Jothi only spoke in anger because Kasthuri had send her son to jail. Bharath says he understands that but the best thing is to be away from Kasthuri. Rekha tells Bharath not to leave Kasthuri until she tells him so and if he trully cares for Kasthuri he should not leave. Bharath says Kasthuri is now capable to handle life and people herself and does not need him. Rekha asks why shouldn't Bharath marry Kasthuri. Bharath says he is Kasthuri's Guru and that is the only relationship they have and that would never change. Rekha wants Kasthuri to be successful in life too. Bharath says he was thinking when to leave town but after hearing Rekha talk about her marriage, he wants to go immediately. Rekha says with Bharath at her side, Kasthuri would be able to be more successful. Bharath says Kasthuri does not need him now. Rekha then says that Ram did not want Kasthuri because he thought Kasthuri is beneath him and now Bharath does not want Kasthuri because she is of higher status. Bharath says that is not right. Both Rekha and Bharath go back and forth about this matter. Rekha says that Bharath should not decide on anything without consulting them. Bharath says he will think about it.

Everyone congregates to Kasthuri's living room. Kasthuri is really sad. Rekha tells Kasthuri not to worry too much. Kasthuri tells them that until that day she was only worried that Jothi was missing but she does not understand why Jothi spoke the way she did. Ganesh and Amirtha too says that they don't understand why Jothi spoke like that. Kasthuri says Bharath had sacrificed his life for her and she just couldn't take the insult Jothi threw at Bharath. Amirtha tells Kasthuri not to worry as people with talk. Kasthuri says others can talk but not Jothi who should know about her. Kasthuri is afraid that Ram would start to poinson Jothi's mind by telling bad things about her. Rekha tells her that one day Jothi will surely know the truth. Ganesh offers to talk to Jothi and bring her back. Kasthuri asks if Bharath came to the office and Amirtha says he did not and will come after a few days. Rekha too tells Kasthuri that she spoke with Bharath and had told him not to leave without talking to them, She tells Kasthuri that Bharath is really upset.

Jothi in thinking mode in Ram's house. Ram brings food for her. Jothi tells Ram they should go back to the village. Ram asks why and if she wants to see Masil. Jothi says yes and Ram laughs and says only she thinks about her husband but he does not. THODARUM.

Here's Friday's update:

Ram tells his mother that Masil does not care for her but Jothi days it is not so and wants Ram to go back with her . Ram asks what he will do in the village. Jothi says they have suffered enough and they should go back. She tells him she will find a bride from one of their relatives and get him married. Ram laughs and asks if she is finding him another wife. Jothi says it is her wish to see him married and have a happy life. Ram refuses saying that he wants to take revenge on Kasthuri who sent him to jail. Jothi says to leave Kasthuri alone as one thing will lead ot another and to leave the matter to God. Ram says he would never go back because Masil too is against him. Ganesh comes there and Ram asks why he is there. Ganesh says that he came ecause he found out that Jothi had with Ram. He tells Jothi that Kasthuri is worried about her. Jothi laughs and says that she left Kasthuri's house because Kasthuri had hired rowdies to kill her. Ram is shocked to hear this. Jothi tells her the entire story with the rowdies and how she went to the Home. Ganesh tells Jothi that Kasthuri would never have done this and it looks as though someone has planned this against Kasthuri. Ganesh pleads with Jothi not to misunderstand Kasthuri. Both Ram and Jothi chase Ganesh out. Ganesh tells them that one day Jothi would know the truth about Kasthuri and will seek her and leaves.

Kasthuri, Bharath, Amirtha and Rekha have a meeting and Kasthuri tells Bharath that they should somehow get the Appasamy contract. Bharath tells her that he is trying his best. Ganesh comes in and Kasthuri asks if he met Jothi and what she said. Ganesh tells Kasthuri that it is better for Jothi to stay with Ram for the time being and tells her what Jothi said. Ganesh tells Kasthuri and the others that Jothi was kidnapped and kept in a secret place and blamed Kasthuri for it. Rekha and Amirtha says someone is working against them. Bharath tells Kasthuri now he understands why Jothi is so mad with her. Kasthuri says she wants to Jothi immediately and asks her who kidnapped Jothi. Ganesh tells Kasthuri not to go and see Jothi now because Jothi blames her and is very angry with her. Rekha suggests that Kasthuri goes back and sees Masil with Ganehs and explain to him. Kasthuri refuses saying that it is better now to tell Masil anything because Jothi feels she is the cause of Jothi and Masil's misunderstanding and feels it is better to talk to Jothi and bring her back.

Jothi is backing to her sofa in Ram house. Rekha and Kasthuri arrive and Jothi gives her killing look and tells if Rekha wants to come in she can but she is not willing to talk to anyone else. Rekha asks Kasthuri to go inw ith her. Kasthuri pleads with Jothi asking what she did to get such treatment. Jothi tells Rekha to ask Kasthurit o go out. Rekha tells Jothi that Kasthuri came to take her home and that Jothi has misunderstood her. Jothi says she has not misunderstood her and accused Kasthuri of trying to kill her. She asks if Kasthuri wants to take her home so that she can kill her easily. Kasthuri cries and pleads that she did no such thing and someone is doing all this to separate them. Jothi refuses to believe that and tells Kasthuri that she had given Kasthuri eveyone and she in return sent her to a Home. Kasthuri pleads and cries that she thinks of Jothi as her own mother and says she would never do anything bad to her. Jothi says that Kasthuri is a very unlucky person because when she was young he mother had dies, then sent her own husband to jail and now separated her from her husband. Jothi says she is dead when she left her husband. Rekha tries to talk to Jothi and tells her how worried Kasthuri was when Jothi went missing. Jothi tells Rekha it is all acting and tells Rekha not to be fooled by Kasthuri. Kasthuri promises to God that she did not do that, but Jothi tells her not to says God's name and tells her off. Rekha tries to talk to Jothi again but Jothi ignores her and says that Kasthuri caused all of Ram's misgivings and ill fortune. She says if Kasthuri had left Ram alone, things would have been different. Jothi says that Kasthuri had taken everything from Ram and sent him to jail. Jothi says she came back from Singapore with a new face and lured Ram and sent him to jail. Kasthuri asks Jothi to think of her as her daughter and come back with her. Jothi tells Kasthuri not to compare herself with her daughter because her daughter is living with her husband as a faithful wife (pathini) and if Kasthuri is like that. Kasthuri is shocked. THODARUM.

Kasthuri tells Jothi to stop humiliating her. She tells Jothi not to judge her or Bharath. She says that she is still the same as when she came into Jothi's house as a DIL. She tells Jothi that if a woman wants to be unfaithful, it only takes 5 minutes. She then asks Rekha to go back as it is no use talking to Jothi. She says one day Jothi will find out the truth and come for her but Jothi tells Kasthuri that will never happen and leaves. Kasthuri leaves with a broken heart. Rekha tells Kasthuri not to worry about what Jothi said as her harsh words are because of her love for her son. Kasthuri says Bharath has sacrificed his life for her and should not be humiliated so. She says it is her duty to see that Bharath does not get a bad name. Rekha says that Jothi does not know what she is saying. Kasthuri says that Bharath is such a gentleman as he had never taken advantage of her. Kathuri says it is because of Bharath that she the person she is today. She feels bad that Jothi has become such a bad person. Bharath who had been hearing all this decides to leave town.

Jothi is cleaning house. Bharath goes to see Jothi and asks to speak with her. Jothi asks what he wants to talk about. Bharath says Jothi has misunderstood Kasthuri. Jothi says she did not and says that eventhough Ram did not like her, she should have been parient. Bharath says that is not Kasthuri's fault everything was against her. Jothi says it is not so as Kasthuri had gone to the extend to sending him to jail. Bharath tries to tell Jothi that there is nothing going on between him abd Kasthuri. He tells Jothi that it is okay for people to talk about him as he is a man and does not care but it is different with Kasthuri as she is a woman and this would ruin her life. He explains that the only relationship they have is between a guru and deciple and as an elderly person, she should not accuse they are having an affiar. The tells her that one day the might happen that Ram and Kasthuri gets together and what will happen if Ram suspects her. Jothi then says that it is because they are all with Kasthuri, that she is not thinking of Ram. She wants Bharath to leave Kasthuri and then Kasthuri will start to think about her own life. Bharath agrees to leave Kasthuri if this will help. He promises Jothi that he will leave Kasthuri. Jothi is relieved to hear this. Bharath thinks about Jothi's request.

Kasthuri meets Kasthuri and tells him that Thiru had gone back to Singapore. Bharath feels bad about the misunderstanding but Kashturi tells him it is okay. Bharath says it would not have happened if Kashturi had told him about Thiru. Kasthuri says she did not say anything about Thiru as he was very upset and had become a recluse after his wife Simi's death. She explains that Thiru's daughter thinks that Kasthuri is her mother and does not know that her mother is dead. As Kasthuri cannot go to Singapore, she had asked Thiru to bring Kavya to India and Thiru had decided to close all his business and come to India. Bharath then tells Kasthuri that he wants to go away for some time. Kasthuri asks why the sudden decision. Bharath says it is not sudden and he had thought about it for a long time but Kasthuri says she knows it is because of what Jothi said about their relationship. She tells him not to leave because of this. Bharath says he has to go but Kasthuri says people will always talk and should they give in to others. Bharath says he need to leave for his peace of mind. Kasthuri asks where he is going and when he will be back. Bharath says he does not know. Bharath says that something good will happen to her if he goes but Kasthuri says he does not need anything other then, him, Rekha, Ganesh and Amirtha with her. Bharath asks permission to go and Kasthuri tells him not to leave her permanently. Bharath bids farewell to a tearful Kasthuri. THODARUM.
