May 26 (Mon):

Ram tries to come downstairs on his own but falls down. Radha and Shenbagam hears him fal and run and help him up andbring him downstairs. Radha asks where Rekha is and why she is not by his side. Shenbagam tells Radha that Rekha left for the office an hour ago. Radha is surprised that Rekha left without telling her and wants to call the office. Ram tells her not toc all the office because there must be important and urgent work, but Radha calls the office anyway. Ram has a smirk onhis face

Annamalai in the office withhis manager. Radha calls and tells him that Rekha left the injured Ram and is now in the office. She tells him to send Rekha immediately. Annamalai calls Rekha to his room and tells her to go home as per her mother's orders. Rekha gets angry and says that even in the office she is not in peace and agrees to go home.

Megala is pacing her room and sees Thanam coming out of her room. She immediately lies down on her bed pretending to be sick. Thanam comes to her and sits beside her and touches her. She asks what is wrong with her and Megala says that she has high fever Thanam tells her mother in law not to lie because she has been working in the hospital for the past 6 years and is alf a docter herself(?). She tells her MIL not to pretend and asks why she did not come see her son at the hospital. Megala tells her that she is allergic to the hospital environments. Then Thanam asks why she did not come and do aarti when they came home. Thanam then cries and asks what did she do wrong that Megala hates her so much. Megala then tells her that she is a widow and did not want to welcome the baby as he is coming to the house for the first time. Thanam tells her MIL that she is the eldest int he house and she is respected even without all the ornaments. Megala then promises to come see the baby after she washes up and does her prayers.

The whole Annamalai clan is waiting in the hospital waiting room. Jayaram looks really worried. The nurse comes to them and informs that the doctor will be removing the bandages from Hema's eyes. Then everyone goes into Hema's room and watches with anticipation when the doctor removes the bandages. The doctor asks if Hema can see everyone. Hema happily says that she can see everyone and thanks Kasthuri for everything. Masil then asks Hema if she knows who he is and Hema tells him that she recognizes everyone. Masil then tells the doctor that he will pay the bill for the operation. Doctor says he will not accept any payment for this surgery and Jayaram intercepts saying that the doctor had pledged to do the first operation of the month free and it so happens that Hema's is the first operation for this month. Masil then promises to donate any amount that is needed for the hospital improvement and development. Kasthuri then teases Jayaram saying that their wedding will be the next celebration.

Sumati in the kitchen and is at the stove. Thanam goes to her and asks what she is doing. Sumathi says she is boiling water for Thanam. Thanam thanks Sumathi for helping her and Sumathi says that it is her duty to do so. Thanam says it is her brother Suresh's duty but not necessary for Sumathi to do so. Sumathi tells her nexttime Thanam can help her when she is in the same situation.

Jayarama nd Hema meet with the eye specialst and thank him for his favor. Jayaram explains that they were feeling guilty about cheating a good family but with the doctor's help everything is solved. Doctor tells them not to worry and for them not to forget to invite him for their wedding. Both Jayaram and Hema promises to invite him.

Masil is reading in the living. Hema comes there and complains that she is not allowed to do anything int he house. She wants to go back to her house. She tells Masil that she wants to do all the housework otherwise she will leave Masil tells Jothi to give some work to Hema and Jothi tells them she will leave all the housework to Hema and relax. Hema tells Jothi that she will show them what she can do. Hema tells Masil that she will make coffe, puri and potatoes for them and goes into the kitchen.

Ram sitting on the bed and is in pain. Rekha brings him some tablets and gives to him and goes back to reading her book. Ram apologizes for being troublesome and thanks her for her help. Rekha puts her book down. Ram tells her that to go to Niwas room and talk to him and relax if she wants. Rekha informs him that will not be possible because Niwas wants her to take care of Ram. She also tells Ram that she has lost Niwas' friendship bcause of him. Ram looks surprised. THODARUM

May 27 (Tues):

Continued from yesterday. Ram apologizes for his previous behavior and tells Rekha that he was wong in suspecting Rekha and Niwas. He says he has now realized his mistake and that he is a changed man now. Rekha refuses to believe. She tells him that Ram is now saying all these things because he needs someone to help him now and when he recovers he will revert to his old self. Ram then asks Rekha to help him to the restroom. Rekha refuses to help saying when she is not around, h did everything himself and this is no different and that he will be alright. Ram slowly gets up and walks to the restroom but falls down. HE screams in pain and everyone come running. Annamalai and Niwas carry him back to the bed and Radha scold Rekha for not helping Ram. Rekha gets upset saying that Ram fell in the restroom and what can she do in there with him.
Ram tells them it is not Rekha's fault and that she had offered to help and he refused. Annamalai tells Ram to be careful and for Rekha to take better care of Ram and they leave. Rekha gets angry and tells Ram that not only she has to play nursemaid to him but also get scolded for it.

Bharath is outside Masils's house and thinking/ Hema goes to him and tells him how she had wanted her eye surgery to be done after he got married. She tells him even when she was 'blind' he had not listen to her and now would be no different. Bharath tells her that he had thought that his marriage will happen but now it will not. Hema asks Bharath to speak with Kasthuri and tells her about his love for her but Bharath refuses. When Hema offers to speak to Kasthuri on his behalf Bharath tells her not to and if she went against him, hewill leave the house. Kasthuri walks to them and asks why Bharath is angry. Hema inform's him about her asking Bharath about his wedding plans and that upset him. Kasthuri too asks Bharath to reveal who the girl is so that they can all speak with her. Bharath walks away without any word.

Sumathi is on the mottai maadi looking up at the sky. Suresh goes to her and asks if she is counting the stars. Sumathi tells him it is not so and they laugh and talk. Unknown to them Megala comes there and listens to their conversation. Sumathi tells Suresh to speak to his father about their wedding when he visits Thanam the next day. Siva tells Sumathi that it is better for Siva to talk to his father on this matter. Sumathi says that Siva and Thanam will be happy with their wedding but Megala will not be. Sumathi says that his mother is afraid if they get married, she will loose her 'power' in the household. She says that her mother was angry with Thanam because of their love affair and that is why she did not do aarti for their nephew. After listening to this conversation, Megala decides to send Thanam's father packing when he visits. Suresh amn Megala talk somemore (total nonsense!).

Masil's clam are gathered at the living. Hema and Jayaram are also present and Masil thanks Jayaram for coming. Masil then brings up the subject of Hema and Jayaram's wedding and he wants them to get married on the 24th of the month as it is an auspicious day. Jayaram refuses at first saying that they will not get married if Bharath doesn't. Masil tells them that marriages are made in heaven and even he had wanted to see Bharath married but did not happen. He tells Jayaram to get married and maybe this will bring luck for Bharath. Bharath too agrees but Jayaram tells him to be quiet. Kasthuri also tells them to agree. Jayaram asks permission to speak with Hema before they give them the answer and walks upstairs with her. Upstairs Jayaram and Hema decide to go ahead with the wedding plans as there is no other way. They come down and inform evryone of their agreement. Masil is very happy and tell Bharath and Kasthuri to take charge of the wedding plans. Kasthuri wants to plan a grand wedding but Jayaram refuses, saying he wants a simple wedding at the temple with only them and close family. Masil is very happy to hear of their decision.

Jothi in the kitchen doing some work. Ganesh comes to see her and asks if Masil is home. Masil watches and listens from upstairs. Ganesh informs Jothi about Ram's accident. Both Jothi and Masil are shocked. THODARUM

May 28(Wed):

Ganesh informs Jothi about Ram's accident. Jothi is shocked and cries (as usual). Ganesh then asks Jothi to follow him to visit Ram but Jothi declines saying she will not do anything without her husband's knowledge. Ganesh tells Jothi this is not the time to think about what Masil will say or not say. Jothi says that all this time she has not seen Ram and tells Ganesh to leave. After Ganesh leaves, Jothi goes to the altar and pray for Ram's well being. MAsil is watching all this from upstairs but says nothing.

Thanam's father and his sister arrive at her house for a visit. They are greeted by Suresh and Sumathi. Siva and Thanam come out with their baby and gives to the happy grandfather. Thanam's father thanks Sumathi and Suresh for helping Thanam by taking her to the hospital in time for a safe delivery. Thanam's aunt gives some outfits for the baby. Megala comes out and insults Thanam's father saying why he had not visited before and now onloy came with some cheap outfits instead of getting something in gold. Megala goes on with her insults despite objections from her son. She finally tells Siva to go buy grocery so that she can cook for the visitors and rudely walks off. Siva apologizes to his inlaws.

Rekha is feeding Ram and tells him to eat quickly. She complains to Ram that she has to do this extra work for him. She tells him to eat fast and when Ram says he has had enough, Rekha tells him good and that the food he ate should last for at least two hours. Once again Rekha complains that she has to be a nursemaid to Ram. She then tells him not to yell for her as she is going downstairs to do some personal work.

Ganesh comes visiting and meets Radha who tells him about Ram's accident. She says that it is by God's grace that Ram is alive and tells Ganesh to go upstairs to see Ram. GAnesh walks into Ram's room just as Rekha is leaving and he asks her how Ram is doing. Rekha tells Ganesh that Ram is paying for his sins and walks away. Ganesh asks Ram about his accident and tells him that Ram's co-worker informed him about the accident. Ganesh tells Ramt hat he has informed his parents about the accident and says that his mother was very sad to hear this. Ram can't believe that there are others who worry about him. Ganesh tells Ram to meet his parents but Ram says that he will not fall at his parents feet ever. He says that Kasthuri who was once living with him for shelter and food is now arrogant because she has a new life. HE tells Ganesh that he had pitied Kasthuri and had tried to bring her to live with him but by she being arrogant he despises her even more. Ram says that he is very happy where he is now and that his inlaws are very loving and only Rekha will be his wife. Rasha listens to this and is very happy and tells Rekha that she is a very lucky girl to have Ram as her husband. Rekha just listens and tells her mother that she needs to give juice to Ram and walks away.

Bharath meets with Hema and Jayaram. He sees Jayaram in deep thought and asks what is wrong. Bharath tells Jayaram that he is happy that their wedding has been fixed. Jayaram tells Bharath off and Hema also tells Bharath that no matter how many relationships he has, nothing will like a wife. They tell Bharath to speak with Kasthuri and if he can't, they are willing to talk to her on his behalf. THODARUM.

May 29(Thurs):

Jayaram tells Bharath that he should not waste any more time but to find out what Kasthuri thinks about remarriage. Hema finally agrees to talk to Kasthuri without revealing about Bharath's feelings so that their relationship is not jeopardized.

Thanam and Sivan in their room with their baby. Thanam's father comes there and tells them he is leaving. Siva apologizes for his mother's behavior but his FIL says it is okand that he has forgotten about it already. Siva and Thanam wants him to stay with them for a day and leave the next day. Thanam's father than takes out some money and gives Siva but he refuses saying it is not necessary and his FIL gives the money to his baby. Thanam's father than talks about Kasthuri and her success in business and that all his daughters are now happy in theie own way.

Ram a usual sitting on the bed with bandaged forehead and arm. Rekha is getting ready to go downstairs. He calls Rekha and tells her he wants to go downstairs and read the newspaper. Rekha tells him that she will get him the newspaper so that he can read where he but Ram says that he is fed up staying in the room all day but looking at Rekha's face tells her it is ok. Rekha thinks for a minute and agrees to help take him downstairs. Radha is reading the newspaper and when she sees Ram asks him to sit down. Annamalai comes downstairs and asks how Ram is feeling. Ram says he is much better. Annamalai then tells Ram that he has made an appointment with an orthopedic doctor to check his injury. Ram face suddenly change and tells his FIL that he is already taking treatment from his doctors and no need for orthopedics. Annamalai insists but Ram tells him that they might admit him in the hospital and this will not be good because his parents might try to visit him. Ram continues saying that he does not want to meet his parents because to him Annamalai and Radha are his parents and their love is enough Radha supports Ram and finally Annamalai agrees to cancel the appointment. When they leave him alone, Ram is so releaved.(LOOKS LIKE RAM IS PUTTING UP AN ACT LIKE HE IS INJURED TO GAIN SYMPATHY AND REKHA'S LOVE AND ATTENTION! 😡 ).

Jothi is very sad about Ram's accident and cries to Ganesh. She tells Ganesh to call Ram as she wants to talk to him. Ganesh calls Ram and passes the phone to Jothi. Ram who is on the bed (again!) sees Ganesh's number and doesn't answer but calls Rekha. When Rekha doesn't come, he answers and Jothi talks to him and asks how heis feeling. Ram asks Jothi why she is cally and Jothi tells him that Ganesh had informed her about his accident. Ram asks if she is calling to find out if he is dead or alive. Jothi tells him that she will always love him. Ram tells his mother not to pretend about loving him. Radha comes there and as usual stops at the door to eavesdrop. She hears Ram talk to his mother about his inlaws are his only relative and hangs up. She is very happy to hear that and leaves. Jothi tells Ganesh about her conversation with Ram and cries. Ganesh tells Jothi not to worry as Ram is still angry with them and this will later change. Jothi refuses to accept saying she wants to speak with Ram again and calls him back. Ram see Ganesh's number and refuses to answer. Niwas passes by Ram's room and hears the phone ringing. He asks Ram to answer the phone but Ram refuses saying it is his mother and want Niws to answer and this way they would feel insulted. Niwas hesitates but answers anyway and hear Jothi say "RAM".THODARUM

May 30 (Fri):

Niwas answers the phone and Jothi thinking it's Ram tries to talk to him. Niwas tells her that Ram is not well and need to rest as the doctor had told him not to strain himself. Jothi asks if Ram had asked him to talk to insult her. She says that Ram is her son and she doesn't need any agent in between. She also says that if her love for her son is true, Ram will comeback to them one day. Niwas hangs up and feels real bad.

Thanam's father is ready to go home and is saying his goodbyes. Suresh is in his room and Sumathi joins him and wants him to talk to his father about their matter but Suresh is hesitant. Sumathi finally decides to tell his father herself. Megala comes to the living where everyone is gathered and tells her son's FIL to take Suresh back and get him a job there or even send him to Kasthuri to work instead of staying there not doing anything. Thanam's father tells her that there is no job in the village but will try to get him a job with Kasthuri or elsewhere. Sumathi comes there and gets blessing from Thanam's father and starts to talk about Suresh and her but Suresh comes running and quickly say that Sumathi wnts to visit the village and needs his permission. Suresh's father tells her to inform him when she wants to come and he will come get her. Megala watches and thinks deeply.

Kasthuri sitting alone and Hema joins her and talks to her about what Kasthuri plans for her future. Kasthuri as usual says that she is happy with her success in business and everyone around her who loves and respects her. Hema says that is fine but what about husband and kids and why not think about marriage again. Hema also tells Kasthuri that all the relations she has now will leave and then she will be lonely if she does not do anything about it. Hema says if a business goes down Kasthuri would definitely start another and life is also like that. Her first marriage has failed but surely there is a good man who can keep her happy. Kasthuri gets angry and tells Hema that the issue of life and business is totally different and marriage is a matter of the heart. Thus saying she tells Hema not to pursue the matter anymore. Unknown to them, both Masil and Jothi are listening to his conversation.

Rekha in the living room and thinking about Radha saying that Ram is a good man and only wants their relationship and is not bothered about his parents. Radha had also told Rekha to take care of Ram and be loving to him. Niwas bring Ram downstairs and Rekha asks why Ram did not call her. Ram tells her he had called for her but she did not hear and as Niwas was there helped im down. Rekha offers to bring coffee but Ram declines saying he already had. A man brings medication for Ram, saying the doctor has asked hi, to deliver. Ram takes the medication and says that he had gone to see the doctor the day before and seeing that he is healing the doctor had told him not to come to the hospital anymore and that medication will be delivered. Ram tells Rekha to go get money from the room to pay the man but Niwas pays instead. The man leaves.

The phone in Masil's house rings and Jothi picks up but no one answers on the other side and cuts of the line. Jothi hangs up and again the phone rings and when she picks up it is cut off. Jothi goes into the kitchen and the phone rings again and this time, Bharath picks up but is cut off again. Jothi asks who was on the line but Bharath tells her that no one answered and it was disconnected. Jothi tells him that the phone rang twice before and the same thing happened. She tells Bharath that she knows for sure it is Ram who wants to speak with Kasthuri. She then tells Bharath to do her a favor. She tells Bharath that he is responsile for Kasthuri's success in business and he is respected both by Kasthuri and Masil. As such, Jothi wants Bharath to speak with Kasthuri and make her understand that Ram is now changed and has realized his mistake and wants to unite with her. Bharath is dumbfounded and asks how can he but Jothi tells him if he speaks with Kasthuri she will listen and she is very confident that he will be able to turn Kasthuri around. Masil is listening to this without their knowledge and gets really angry. THODARUM

June 2 (Mon):

Jothi talks to Bharath about talking to Kasthuri aboout accepting Ram back into her life. Jothi goes on lecturing about ow difficult it is to be without a husband and vice versa. Bharath tells her that he will definitely talk to Kasthuri and for her not to worry because Ram will surely come back to them soon and leaves. Jothi stands there crying. Masil walks to her and gives an angry look at Jothi but she is oblivious to her husband's glare. Masil just walks away.

Ram is on his bed and sees Rekha getting ready. He asks her where she is going and she tells him to the office. Ram tells her that he hasn't recovered and she should stay with him. Rekha tells Rams that she stayed because of her mother's order and not because she want's too. Also, that Ram is now well enough to take care of himself and if need be, he can ask the main for help. Ram tells her that he will get mad if Rekha is not with him but Rekha tells him that she will go mad if she stays with him. Ram pleads with her to stay at least for 2 days but Rekha refuses. Ram asks if that is all the care she feel and Rekha says that she has done more than required and he should no that she need not have done anything for him for the way he treated her. Ram again pleads for Rekha to stay at least that day but Rekha flatly refuses saying that Ram is only thinking about himself and not about others' commitment and leaves.

Sumathi playing game on her cell phone. Megala goes to her and asks her why she had asked for blessing from Thanam's father. Sumathi tells her that it is not wrong for her to asks for blessing from and elder. Megala then asks how come she never fell at her feet and ask for blessing and to this, Sumathi tells her mother to get her married and when she leaves the house she will fall at her feet. Megala then tells Sumathi that she will look for a groom soon but Sumathi tells her no need to look as they already have the groom ready. Megala tells Sumathi that she will never agree to Suresh being her SIL but Sumathi says otherwise. She tells her mother that they will get married with her permission and blessing and leaves.

In Rekha's office three of her female employees are talking. Rekha listens: Apparently employee A's husband is very abusive and had burnt her wrist with cigarette. Employee B tells A to leave her husband divorce him but A says she can't for the sake for her children. Also she is afraid of the troubles she has to face if she leaves her husbnad. A also says that if her husband is a monster, it is only him she has to fight off. If she divorces her husband she may have to face many more 'monsters'. Finally A tells B that she will endure her husband's tortures and live with him for the rest of her life. B tells A to at least be happy at the office and they all leave. Rekha just goes into her cabin and reflects upon all the advices from her mother and Niwas - all telling her how good a husband Ram is and how lucky she is to have him as her life partner.

Annamlai in his room on the phone talking business. Rekha goes to him and tells him that she wants to go hom. Annamalai asks what is wrong with her and Rekha tells him that she has realized all her mistakes. Also she is successful in her office work but she feels that she is failing in her domestic life. She also tells her father that she feel that she should be with her husband in times of need. Annamalai is happy with her decision and sends her home.

Rekha goes home and Radha stops her and starts to shout at her for being uncaring. Rekha tells her mother not to shout without finding out where she went. She then calls her maid and shows the walking stick and other things that she bought for Ram. Radha is happy and sends her upstairs. Rekha goes upstairs to Ram who as usual is sitting on his bed with that idiotic face. Rekha goes to him and asks what he is doing. He gets up but falls in the process. Rekha gives him the walking stick and tells him to use it until he gets well. Ram accepts and says that he hopes that at least the stick will be with him. Rekha tells Ram not to talk like that and apologizes for leaving him. She tells him that her thoughts were only with him and that is why she bought the walking stick and came back. Ram looks at her and Rekha tells him that she will try and be a good wife to him. Ram is very happy to hear that. She helps Ram to walk with the walking stick.

Annamalai talks to someone about business and makes an appointment at the office. Radha asks him to go see Ram before leavng for the office. Annamalai asks why as he is seeing Ram every day. Radha tells her husband that since Ram is not well, to say hello as courtesy. Both husband and wife fo to Rekha's room and see Rekha helping her husband. Rekha tells Ram to sit down while she gets breakfast for him. Annamalai enters and asks about Ram's well being. Ram tells them that he is fine now and that Rekha has ben very helpfull. Annamalai tells Ram to be careful and take care of himself and leave. Rekha tells Ram to wait and goes to get him breakfast. After she leaves, Ram gets up. THODARUM.
