June 9 (Mon):

Megala eating apples and talking to herself. Thanam comes out calling for Sumathi. Megala quickly hides her plate of fruits under the table and asks why she is looking for Sumathi and Thanam says that she left some apples in her room but now it is missing. Megala tells her that it has been a long time since she had even heard of the fruit name. She continues saying that only when her husband was alive, she had seen fruits and never after that. Thanam father and aunt arrive for a visit and Thanam welcomes them. Thanam's aunt comments that her son looks like Thanam and Megala quickly says of course it would look like the mother. Thanam then asks both her father and aunt to follow her to her room so they can talk. Her father tells her to go first as he wants to talk to Megala.

Megala tells Thanam's father to take Suresh back with him as she doesn't want him at her house anymore. This is because he is causing problems for her. She tells him that Suresh is trying to change her daughter and go against her. Siva comes back from work and quickly asks his FIL to go inside with him so they can talk. FIL gets up and his leg know the plates under the table and he takes it out and asks if he can take it inside for her. Megala quickly takes it away and says she will take care of it and tells him to go inside as his SIL had called him.

Niwas in his room and he gets a call from the gundas asking him why he has not left Rekha's house. He warns Niwas that they are not playing with him and gives him one more day to get out otherwise he will be dead and hangs up.

Megala walking back from the market and is hit by an auto. Suresh comes by and takes her to the hospital. Niwas goes to Ram's room and tells him that about the gundas warning. Niwas then tells Ram that he suspects Ram of paying the men to warn him. Ram denies but Niwas tells Ram that only he has animosity gainst him. Ram however denies the whole thing and Niwas tells Ram that he is going to report the matter to the police. Ram tells him to do so and he will go with him if need be. Niwas tells Ram it is not necesary and he will take care of the matter and leaves. Ram thinks.

Niwas goes back to his room and Rekha comes to Niwas and asks him if what he told her was true. She tells him that she heard Niwas talking to Ram and felt that Niwas was telling the truth but she does not believe that Ram had done it. Niwas tells Rekha the same thing that only Ram has motive and no one else. Rekha tries to tell Niwas that Ram has changed and is not like before and leaves.

Thanam's father wants to go home but she and her husband tries to make him stay. Thanam's father asks for Megala and is told that she has gone out. Suresh returns with Megala who has a bandage on her head. Everyone is shocked and asks what happened and Suresh tells them about the accident and that he had taken her to the hospital for treatment. Megala tells everyone how Suresh had saved her life by giving his blood when she needed it. She praises Suresh for saving her life.

Ram in his room alone and happily takes out his bandage goes to the dressing room, combs his hair and jumps around and sits back on his bed and stretches. Suddenly his bathroom door opens and Niwas comes out. Ram who has his hands stretched out without the sling is shocked. THODARUM

June 10 (Tues):

Kasthuri still no show!

Niwas comes out and sees Ram. Ram immediately pretend to have stretched his hand and now in severe pain. Niwas looks at him and thinks for a minute and rushes down calling for Annamalai. Ram follows him. Niwas goes down and asks Annamalai why they are not taking care of Ram as he is now in pain. He suggests they take him to see a doctor. Annamalai explains that he tried but Ram refused saying he is better. Radha too saya that Ram did not want to go to the hospital fearing problems from his parents. Niwas then suggests to ask the doctor to come to the house to give treatment. Ram interferes and says he is really getting better and no need to go to the doctor. Niwas says they are bringing the doctor to him bu Ram tells them he will ask his doctor to make an appointment and calls someone and talks as if he is getting better and will go see the doctor another day. Ram then says he has spoken the doctor and not to worry. He then turns to Niwas and puts his arm around him and says thank you for your effort but I can take care of everything and leaves.

Ram goes upstairs and locks his room and talk to himself. He says that now Niwas will definitely tell Rekha about this and she will surely believe him and then there will be trouble. Ram then calls Annamalai's Manager and tells him about Niwas' suspicion and to arrange for someone to pretend as a doctor so that he can go there with Rekha and make Rekha believe Ram's injury. Manager asks who to arrange and Ram tells him to arrange the guy who brought him the medicine the last time. Manager says ok.

Suresh meets Sumathi on the mottai maadi and talks to her about Megala's accident. Sumathi feels as Suresh has saved her mother's life, she would not object to their marriage and that she would talk to her mother the next day. Suresh tells her not to because it would seem that he is asking favor because he had helped her. Suresh tells Sumathi that he is leaving with his father. Sumathi tells him not to but Suresh tells Sumathi that if it is fated that they are to get married it will happen but they should no against her mother's wishes. Sumathi refuses to listen to Suresh but somehow Suresh calms her. Unknown to them Megala is listening to their conversation. Megala feels sad.

Annamalai's manager meets with the hospital attendent and gives him $500 to act as a doctor and to change the bandages on Ram head and hand. The man refuses at first but after seeing the money agrees and tells the manager to bring the patient by 10 am or else there will be trouble. Manager agrees and leaves.

Megala is in the living room thinking. Thanam, her father nd aunt come out and Thanam's father tells Megala they are leaving. Megala asks if only him and his sister are leaving but is told that Suresh is also leaving with them. Megala thinks to herself why can't they leave Suresh behind and if they are expecting her to say something. Suresh and Sumathi come out and seeing them, Megala feels they are a match made in heaven and that she had misunderstood Suresh all this time. Suresh goe sto Megala and thanks her for everything and gets her blessing. Megala now decides the only Suresh can be her SIL and prays to god to stop Suresh from leaving. Just then the phone rings and Thanam answers the call which is from Kasthuri. Kasthuri tells Thanam that she is coming to visit that evening. Thanam tells Kasthuri that their parents are there right now and will be leaving soon. Kasthuri tells Thanam to ask her father and the others to stay undil she comes. Thanam informs her father and asks them to stay but her father wants to go. Megala tells them to stay and visit with Kasthuri and he finally agrees. Megala is happy and decides to talk to Kasthuri when she comes.

Ram is happily getting ready and his phone rings. Manager asks Ram if he is ready. Ram tells him he is ready but Rekha has gone out and will be there shortly. Manager reminds Ram that he has to be there before 10 am or their plan will not work and hangs up. THODARUM

June 11 (Wed):

FINALLY! KASTHURI MAKES HER APPEARANCE.

Manager calls Ram and asks him to hurry and be at the hospital befor ethe doctor comes otherwise there would be problem and hangs up. Ram gets ready in record time and goes out.

Masil and Bharath waiting for the ladies to go shopping for Jayaram-Hema wedding. The ladies come down and Hema informs Masil that Kasthuri is not going with them. Masil asks why and Kasthuri says that she has some work to do at the office. Jothi tells Kasturi to follow them because she is more knowledgeable about silk sarees. Masil then asks what the real reason and Kasthuri tells them that she is unlucky and a woman separated from her husband. Masil then says that he and jothi are also unlucky because they were left by their son. Then Bharath joins in saying that he too had lost his wife and as such he too should not go shopping. Masil finally decides that all of them are not eligible to do any shopping and tells Hema to get married at the Regisrar's office and they will bless them from the house. Kasthuri finally agrees to go shopping with them and they all go happily.

Ram comes downstairs and sits opposite Niwas. Niwas looks at Ram and talks to himself about how clever Ram is at acting and Ram thinks that he knows that Niwas suspects him and before he can tell Rekha he has made arragements to fool Rekha. After that Rekha will never believe him. Rekha comes in with temple prasadham and tells Ram that she had gone to the temple to pray for Ram's speedy recovery. She then leaves for the hospital with Ram with Niwas looking on disgustedly. Manager tells the hospital attendent to be careful and to do his job properly. Ram and Rekha arrive and Manager tells the attendent that Rekha should not know that he is there and leaves. The attendent meets both Ram and Rekha and tells the doctor is waiting for him and thathe will only see the patient and no one else. Rekha wants to go in but the man tells him that is not possible and for her to wait outside. Once inside the man tells Ram to pretend that he is in pain while changing the dressing. Ram falls asleep while being bandaged and the attendent bandages the left hand instead of the right and wakes Ram. Manager walks in and asks if everything is ok. The attendent shows his handiwork and Manager laughs saying he had bandaged the wrong hand. (I WONDER HOW MANAGER CAME IN WITHOUT REKHA'S KNOWLEDGE AS SHE WAS WAITING RIGHT OUTSIDE THE ROOM!).

Ram scolds the attendent and tells him to bandage the right hand. Once done, Ram gets up to leave and ask how the manager came in. Manager tells him he came in thru the other door. Ram walks out with the attendent and Rekha meets him and asks how he is feeling. The attendent tells Rekha that Ram's hand will heal in two days and he will be alright after that, Ram and Rekha leave. The attendent asks Manager for tips but Manager refuses to give.

Kasthuri visits Thanam and meets with her family. Vishvanathan is happy to see his daughter and take her in. Siva gives his baby to Kasthuri and everyone are very happy. Megala comes out and welcomes Kasthuri and they exchange pleasantries. Kasthuri presents the baby with a gold chain. Kasthuri then asks Suresh to come to Chennai and if he wants he can further his studies or work in their company. She also tells him that she has a high ranking job waiting for him. It is then Sumathi's turn, Kasthuri asks her what she is planning to do and Sumathi says she has just finished college Kasthuri tells her that women should have higher education for a bright future. She tells them that because her FIL had educated her she is now successful Vishvanathan beams proudly. THODARUM

June 12 (Thurs):

Continued from yesterday. Kasthuri tells Sumathi to follow her and that she will pay for her MBA course. Megala is very happy to hear this and tells them to wait while she cooks. Kasthuri tells Megala she will help to cook and everyone to go in with them.

Annamalai and wife are talking about going to the temple. Rekha comes there and her father asks for Ram. Rekha tells him that he is upstairs and will be ready. Manager walks in and tells Annamalai about his meeting with the auditor. Annamalai says the appointment is in the evening. Manager apologizes for not informing about the change in the meeting. Radha asks why can't he telephone instead of coming to the house. Manager says he came so that he can visit Ram. Annamalai tells him Ram is upstairs and Manager goes to Ram's room and asks for more money. Ram asks why as he had already paid enough. Manager says he has to pay so that the attendent will keep is secret. Ram warns Manager not to come there and ask for money again and tell him to leave. Ram thinks that he is now having problems with everyone and wonders how to overcome them. Manager goes out and takes leave Annamalai tells Radha that he will meet them at the temple after his meeting.

Kasthuri is on the motai maadi at Siva's house and on the phone with someone. Her father goes to her and looks at her. KAsthuri asks what is wrong and he asks her if she is hapy. Kasthuri wonders why he is asking her such a question. Vishvanathan saya if one has wealth doesn't mean they are happy and Kasthuri agrees. Kasthuris ays she is very happy with her life. Vishvanathan tells her that her sisters are all happy living with their husband and child. Kasthuri says that they are lucky but her father need not worry about her as he has fulfilled his duties as a father but her life had taken a different turn. Kasthuri says he never thought about his life when her mother passed away and sacrificed his life for his children. Vishvanathan says that it was his duty not sacrifice. Kasthuri tells him not to worry because it was nobody's fault. She goes on saying that no women wants to live without a husband but sometimes it just doesn't happen that way. She says that they did not get a good husband but got a good and loving father in law. He then asks Kasthuri if Ram came to see her. Kasthuri tells him that before she was begging him to take her bit now he is begging her but she is not willing to accept Ram as her husband because she has not forgotten the past. She assures her father that she is very happy and successful in life. Vishvanathan is very happy and proud of her daughter's achievements.

Everyone sits to eat and Megala says she is happy that Kasthuri despite her busy schedule had come to visit Thanam. Vishvanathan says Kasthuri came to see Thanam's baby. He tells Megala that Kasthuri is a very responsible person. Kasthuri then tells her father that she wants to talk about Suresh's marriage before she leaves. Kasthuri tells her father that she has arranged for a job at her company and that she has already decided the girl for him. Thanam and Siva tells Kasthuri that maybe Suresh has someone on his mind but Kasthuri says that it cannot be and asks Suresh. Suresh tells her he has no one. Sumathi gets mad but can't say anything. Kasthuri then takes out a photograph and shows her father the photograph. Vishvanathan agrees and is happy, then Siva sees and agrees. He asks Thanam to see the photograph but Thanam refuses but after Siva insists, she looks at it and also agrees. Thanam than takes the photograph to Megala and asks her to see the photograph. Megala is upset but at Thanam's insistence, she looks at the photograph and is shocked to see it is Sumathi's photo. Megala is very happy but says that she can't give much for her daughter. Kasthuri tells Megala to send Sumathi with just kathina podavai. Megala says she cannot do that because Sumathi does not have any saree. Kasthuri tells Megala not to worry because she will buy the saree and take Sumathi with her when she leaves. Suresh and Sumathi are very happy. THODARUM

HERE GOES UPDATE FOR JUNE 13 (FRI):

Vishvanathan and Megala talking. Megala praises Kasthuri for her success and her atttide. She says the is thankful for getting Suresh as her SIL. She then praises Vishvanathan for bringing up 3 wonderful daughters single handedly. Vishavanathan says goodbye and tells her he will go back and consult the priest for a few auspicious day for the wedding and let her know. Megala apologizes for her atrocious behavior towards Thanam and tells Vishvanathan not to keep that in mind and treat Sumathi as she did Thanam. Vishvanathan assures her that he will not do that and will treat Sumathi as his 4th daughter.

Jayaram's and Hema's wedding takes place. Jayaram and Hema seek blessing from Masil first but Masil tells them to get their parents' blessing first because without the parents they would ot be here. After the wedding, Masil asks Ganesh when he is getting married but Ganesh says he doesn't want to get married yet. Everyone is having merry time and..................

HERE COMES THE BEST PART OF THE ENTIRE SERIAL...... 👏 .

A red car stops at the temple and Annamalai and Ram get out. Jothi is all sad when she sees Ram with his bandages and runs to her darling son and cries buckets of tears. She tells Ram to come back with her and he wll be taken good care of. Ram refuses and insults her and says that he has a loving wife and loving inlaws. He does not need them. Jothi again tries to ask Ram to go with her. Masil tells Kasthuri to go bring Jothi away. Kasthuri goes and tries to pull Jothi away from Ram but Jothi tells her to stop and again begs Ram to follow her. Ram tells Jothi that all Masil did was to get him married to Kasthuri and nothing else and for than Masil is better dead. Jothi gets angry and hits Ram ( ade appa! enna adi! apadi podu, podu podu, innum konjum podu podu. Allu venumna nanggal elurum vanthu help panurom! 😊 ).

Annamalai tells Ram that they came to the temple to pray not argue with people who are not related to them. Jothi gets angry again and starts her beating (2nd round). Ram tells his mother to let go of his hand and when she doesn't, he pushes Jothi down. Masil gets angry and goes to Ram and one more round of beating (You cannot imagine our happiness - mine and Dhania's 🤣 ). Masil curses Ram saying he will never be happy ever for treating his parents badly.

Annamalai takes out a gun and points at Masil and tells him to stop beating his darling SIL. Masil tells Annamalai that he is not afraid of his gun and to go ahead and shoot. Jothi pushes Annamalai's hand and scolds him. Masil tells Annamalai that Ram had been his SIL only for 3 years but his son for 30 years Masil tells Annamalai to be very careful that once he finds out about Ram's true colors, his gund doesn't point towards Ram. Masil then pulls Jothi away and leaves leaving Ram and Annamalai.

Masil in his living with Bharath, Kasthuri and Ganesh. Jothi comes down and Masil scolds Jothi. He tells her that Ram has insulted both of them infront of their enemy. He asks why did Jothi run to her son when she saw him. If she had not done that, this whole thing would not have happened. Masil tells his wife that he is happy that finally Ram had taught her a lesson. He tells them that Jothi had held Ram's hands and taught hi, to read and write when he was small and now he had push her down with those hands. He curses Ram that both his hands would be crippled but Jothi shouts at her husband tells him to stop. Masil says even after all this she is still so loving towards her son. Masil feels very upset to have been insulted in front of so many people. Kasthuri, Bharath and Ganesh try to console Masil. Masil says in 30 years he had not raised his hands against Ram. Screen freezes on Kasthuri's face. THODARUM

June 16 (Mon):

Masil still analyzing the temple incident. He is very angry with Ganesh for trying to patch Ram's and Jothi's relationship. He tell Ganesh to leave the house and not to show his face at his house anymore. He then tells Jothi off for running to her son even after knowing his character. He then orders that no one should mention Ram in his house.

Annamalai and Radha too are talking about the incident. Radha says that it is their wish that both families should unite but at the rate it is going, it would not happen. She feels bad for her beloved mapillai for being beaten by both his parents in front of so many people. She says both Masil had forgotten that Ram is a grown man and has a son. Ram and Rekha come there and Rekha tells her mom that her in-laws would never do such a thing themselves. It is because of their beloved DIL, Kasthuri who is instigating them. Annamalai then says that Kasthuri is earning a lot of money and they would never let her go. To this Radha says then they should give Kasthuri what ever need to be and come live with them. Ram says that they are no long his parents and that he only considers Anamalai and Radha as his parents. Annamalai and Radha are happy to hear this.

Masil is sitting in the living room and thinking. Bharath comes down and sits down and feels that Masil is thinking about the previous day's events. Kasthuri comes down and says she is ready and they can leave for the office. Masil stop them and says he has something to tell everyone and calls Jothi to the living. When everyone is gathered, Masil tells everyone that he has achieved most of what he wanted when he came to teh city. He is happy that Kasthuri is very successful in business and he is confident that she is able to find a suitable partner for her life. Masil announces that he wants to go back to the village with Jothi and spend the rest of his life there. Kasthuri asks if he is not peaceful and happy in the city and Masil says yes. Jothi then opens her mouth and delivers a shocking news - she refuses to leave the city as she too had come here to achieve something just like everyone else. Untul she fulfills her goal, she will not leave. Masil asks if she is willing to leave him for her son and Jothi says yes but she is leaving him because she wants to achieve her goals and walks off. Masil is so upset that he says that he will go alone and try to live peacefully until his end. Finally Kasthuri tells Masil that since they all came together to teh city they should go back together. She says the company, money and fame are not important to her andis ready to go back even if he wants to return the same night. She tells him to decide and let her know when she and Bharath returns from the office.

Ram lying on his bed and Rekha is getting out all her 'modern' dresses. Ram asks why but Rekha comtinues taking out her clothes. The maid comes and Rekha gives all the dress to her telling her to give it to her college going daughter. The maid says they are all new dresses and Rekha says she knows and that she will not be needing them as she will be donning only sarees. Ram beams at this revelation. After the maid leaves, Rekha says she has changed herself and if Ram likes it. Ram says yes and asks if he needs to change. Rekha tells him to stop calling her his 'goddess' and Ray says ok.

Masil and Jothi sleeping. Jothi is crying and recalls the incident at the temple when Ram pushes her down. She gets up and sits, thinking. THODARUM

HERE IS TODAY'S UPDATE BEFORE I GET CARRIED AWAY!

June 17 (Tues):

Jothi gets up and goes to the living and cries by herself. Masil gets up, seeing Jothi not there walks down the stairs and sees Jothi crying. He watches for a few minutes and walks up without saying a word.

Niwas is riding on his motorcycle. He gets a call from oneof the goondas - posing as a police inspector(This man looks like the man (Ram's former co-worker) who once tortured Ram making them believe that Ram's father was causing problems.). He asks Niwas if he knows Rekha and when Niwas says yes, tells him that Rekha had been involved in an accident and that they found out her name by looking at her DL. Also that the last call she had made on her cell was Niwas's no hence their call to him. Niwas says that Rekha is her friend and asks where she is. The man tells him the place (muted dialog). Niwas goes in a hurry. A man dresses as a police inspector is shown waiting.

Niwas is stopped by the 'inspector' and tells that Rekha had been taken to a hospital and for Niwas to follow him. Niwas goes with the man and is taken to a house. Niwas aks why he has been taken to a house instead of a nursing home. The man says that from outside it doesn't look like a nursing home but when he comes inside he will see for himself. The dumb Niwas follows the man and ince inside is beaten up by the goondas. Niwas fights them off but as they are too many he is unable to overcome them. After beating him up, the man asks why he has not left Rekha's house after being warned many time. Niwas says it is up to him where he wants to stay. The man then beats him up some more and tell the other men to watch Niwas and goes to make a call. The man talks to Ram telling him that Niwas being taken care off. The man goes back to Niwas and Niwas asks if he was paid by Ram to beat him up. The man tells Niwas not to be a detective and is told to be taken away by his men. After Niwas is taken away, one of the men asks the man disguised as Insp. why call Ram his boss when he hates the man. He is told that he can kill Ram with just one bullet but that would be an easy death for Ram; He wants Ram to be humiliated, and suffer the pain his has suffered.

Masil is pasing the living (the same old sad bgm is playing) - this goes on for at least 3 minutes! Jothi in the kitchen, turns around and sees her husband. Masil calls Jothi and asks for Kasthuri. Jothi tells Masil that Kasthuri left early in the morning to go to temple before going to work and will only be back in the evening. Jothi tells Masil that maybe Kasthuri has an important decision to make about some project. Masil then calls up Global Travels and asks them to get 5 tickets for Coimbature for Friday. Give them details of the travellers Masil(60 yrs), Jothi (55 yrs), Bharath (32 yrs), Kasthuri (24 yrs) and Ganesh (30 yrs).
He then calls his attorney and gives him the POA to sell all their property in Chennai including KCT. The attorney tells him that it would not be easy to dispose of the company but Masil tells him to take his time and go ahead with his wish. Jothi is listening to this from the kitchen. Bharath and Ganesh comes in and Masil tells them about his decision. Bharath asks why such a drastic move especially the company which they have worked hard to form. Masil tells him that he has thought about it and that he had no other choice because Kasthuri refused to stay back and let him and Jothi go back. Also because his only son had humiliated them and he cannot take that anymore. Bharath tries to talk Masil out of it but is not successful. Jothi just looks on. THODARUM

June 18 (Wed):

Masil tells both Ganesh and Bharath that he has decided to sell everything and go back tp the village. He says he made this decision because Kasthuri did not want to stay back. Ganesh and Bharath try to disuade Msil but are not successful as he is adamant. Masil then tells Ganesh that he has also bought a ticket for him to go back with them. Ganesh sadly agrees.

Ram is in the mottai maadi. Niwas goes to him and tells Ram of. Ram is shocked to see Niwas is hurt and asks what happened. Niwas tells Ram not to act as if he doesn't know anything. He accuses Ram of setting goondas on him to beat him up. Ram tells him he does not know anything about it. Niwas says only Ram has a reason to get Niwas out. Niwas also tells Ram that he is a man of intergity and will not go after another man
s wife. He warns Ram to stop otherwise he will report to the police and leaves. After Niwas leaves, Ram laughs happily saying that he had actually intended to bash Niwas but someone had beat him to it.

Ram sitting on his bed thinking. Rekha walks in with water and tablet for Ram and gives it to im. She notices Ram worried and asks what is wrong. Ram tells her that Niwas suspects him of hiring goondas to beat him up and to leave the house and doesn't believe that he is not involved. Rekha tells Ram that both she and Niwas had discussed about it. She also tells Ram that what reason the goondas have for asking Niwas to leave the house. Ram says they should not be analyzing the reason but to convince Niwas that he is not reponsible. Rekha decides to bring Niwas and talk to Ram about it and goes out despite Ram telling her not to. Rekha bring Niwas and tells him that Ram is not a person to go to that extent. Niwas tells her that before he had suspected Ram but now he is very sure Ram is responsible. He then tells her that after the men beat him up, Ram had called the goondas and spoke to them. Rekha says they may have received a call but how can he be sure it is Ram. Niwas says he is 100% sure that it was Ram. Also Ram did not like his presence in the house and had himself warned him a couple of times to leave. He tells Rekha that he will prove that Ram is the culprit and only then Rekha will realize the kind of person Ram is, and leaves. Rekha tells Ram to be patient.

Masil speaks to Kasthuri and tells her his decision to go back to the village. He tells Kasthuri to stay back with Bharath and continue with their computer business. Kasthuri tells him that she will follow him back to the village and will abide by his decisions.

Ram meets Niwas outside his room and tells him that in the begining he hated Niwas because he was close with his wife and he did not like it. Later he realized their friendship and felt ashamed for his attitute towads Niwas. He tells Niwas that he is not responsible for hurting him or have any relationship with any goondas. Ram then asks Niwas to take him to the place where he was taken and beaten up. Niwas takes him to the house but it is abandoned. Ram asks where the men are and Niwas asks him back how can the be they as Ram would have told them to abandon the house as he is coming there. Ram denies the accusation. Niwas walks out and meets a man and asks about the house and its occupants. The man says the house has been unoccupied for sometime because of a pending court case. Ram walks out and Niwas looks at him disgustedly. Ram goes to Niwas and tells him to stop suspecting him and to think in a different angle, also to think if he had caused problems to someone else before. Just then Ram's cell rings and the man who beat Niwas tells Ram that they abandoned the house as instructed by Ram. Ram shouts asking who he is. June 19 (Thurs):

Continued from yesterday. Ram receives call from the leader (Ram's ex-coworker) telling him that they have moved their hideout as per Ram's instructions. Niwas snatches the cell from Ram and listens tot he conversation and then asks Ram what he has to say. Ram still denies any knowledge about the whole thing. Niwas is disgusted and leaves Ram standing there. Ram then gets the call from the man again saying that he is responsible for hurting Niwas and the blame has fallen on Ram. Ram asks why but the man says it is not necessary for him to know and will know when the time comes and disconnects. He also tells Ram not to try and trace the call because he will be using another number next time he calls.

Masil is getting ready to go out and tells Jothi that the travel agent will come to deliver tickets. He tells her he has some errands to run and will be back. Jothi asks if they must leave and Masil says yes. He wants Jothi to follow him as he has no one and leaves a sad Jothi.

Jothi is in the living and gets a call from Vishvanathan, asking for Masil and Kasthuri as he needs to discuss about Suresh/Sumathi wedding. He tells Jothi that he would be visiting them to talk about the wedding. Jothi tells him not to come as they are going back to the village. Vishavanathan tells Jothi that they must stay with him for a few days. Jothi then tells him that they are going back to the village for good and narrates the whole story (muted dialog). Vishavanathan is shocked but says he will me them when they come and hangs up.

Niwas in his office and Ram's ex-coworker goes to him and threatens him with a gun. He asks why Niwas has not left Rekha's house despite the beatings he received. Niwas tells him that he is not afraid of guns and tells him to leave. The man then says that Niwas and Rekha must be having an affair and that is why he is not afraid to die. This is because only love will make a person strong to fight back. Niwas get mad and holds the man's shirt. The man tells Niwas to stop fighting back or else he will die. Niwas backs up.

Masil and family are all ready to leave and gather with packed bags. Ganesh comes in with his bags. Ganesh is sad and Masil asks if he is afraid he has lost his job. Masil then tells Ganesh that they have decided only to sell one half of the company shares and the other half will be given to Ganesh and he has to run the business. Ganesh aks Bharath to run the company with hi but he declines.

Everyone is walking out and are shocked to see Vishvanathan at the door. Vishvanathan asks where they are going and Masil tells them that they are returning to the village. Vishvanathan asks it is good they are all returning but where is Kasthuri's husband. He goes on saying that if Kasthuri were to return to the village without husband, they will start to talk bad about her. Masil says no one will do that and because of his son's sins he has educated Kasthuri to become a successful businesswoman. Vishvanathan says it all fine and dandy but what will she do when she now returns to the village. He tells Masil that this will only make Kasthuri commit suicide. Masil gets angry and slaps Vishvanathan, much to everyone's shock. THODARUM

June 20 (Fri):

Masil and Vishvanathan apologize to each other for their actions and reactions. Finally Masil promises Vishvanathan that until he has settled Kasthuri's personal life, he will not leave Chennai. Jothi is very happy to hear this and smiles. Vishvanathan too says that it is good that Masil has realized that there are still issues to be settled. GRAMATHU PAYANAM CANCELLED!

Niwas tells Rekha that it is confirmed that Ram is behind the attacks and threat on him. Rekha is still not believing. Niwas tells her that he is sure that one of the goodsas will call him with their threats and sure enough one of the man calls. Niwas tells the man that he will never leave Rekha's house no matter wht they do to him. He then asks the man who is behind them and the man says it is Ram. Rekha listens to this and is shocked. The man disconnects and Niwas asks if she believes him now. Rekha is bewildered. Niwas then says that there are more fraud commited by Ram and tells her that Ram is faking the accident. Rekha does not believe as she had accompanied Ram to the hospital for treatment. Niwas asks if she was present when they changed the bandage and Rekha says she was not allowed in. Niwas tells her that is where she had been cheated and tells her to get ready so that he can take her to the hospital to prove what he said is true. Rekha tells Niwas to wait while she changes.

Vishvanathan is asleep. Masil calls Jothi and asks if Vishvanathan is awake and Jothi tells her husband that he is tired and is still asleep and not to wake him up. Vishavanathan is still asleep. Masil tells his wife that he was unaware that Vishvanathan has so much sorrow in him. He tells Jothi to get coffee while wakes ishvanathan up. He goes to Vishvanathan up but he does not wake up. Masil gets frightened and calls and shakes his friend. Vishvanathan wakes up and Masil is relieved. Masil asks why he is sleeping on the floor when the bed was made for him. Vishvanathan says tha he cannot sleep on the bed. Masil asks if he is still angry and his friend tells him that if he was angry he would have left immediately. Both friends talk some more about teir life in the village and city. Jothi brings coffee and gives both of them and tells them that she will prepare food and goes into the kitchen.

Niwas and Rekha go to the hospital and she spots the attendent talking to a nurse. They go to him and ask how he is. Rekha asks if he cannot remember her. Niwas reminds him about Ram's injury. The attendent remembers and asks if he has recovered. Niwas says that he has not recovered as his injury became septic because of their treatment and had to amputate his hand. The man is shocked and asks how can that be when Ram was not injured at all. The tells both Niwas and Rekha that the real villain is Ram and was helped by the manager who told him to help Ram because he is having problem with his wife. He was paid $500.00 for the service. Rekha is shocked to hear this.

Ram stops at a medical shop and goes in and gives a prescription to the pharmacists and buys some medicine and leaves, still pretending to be limping. Ganesh rides up to him and asks why Ram is standing there. Ram says he is waiting for his driver who has gone to get gas for the car. Ganesh tells Ram what he did at the temple was wrong but Ram arrogantly says that his in laws are hi family and not his parents. Ganesh remind him that he had beged to be taken back but Ram says that was before but he will never go back to his parents because his inlaws are always there for him. Ganesh tells him that soon Ram would be wondering the streets begging for food because no one wants him. Ram slaps Ganesh. THODARUM.
