Thanks atina. Sorry. I forgot about last thursday's episode. Short update (Jan 25-thurs).

Ram finds the money in his closet. He confronts Kasthuri when she goes up to motai madi to dry laundry. Kasthuri says she saw Ram put the money in her bag. She then put the money back in Ram's closet. Kasthuri tells Ram that she has learnt many traits from Ram and has also learnt to take care of herself.

Ram tells her that he will somehow send her out.

Ram goes to Jagdish's house and tries to speak to him about the wedding arrangements between Kasthuri and Jagdish. Jagdish gives him a piece of his mind and insults Ram. Tells Ram to get lost and not to see him again.

Jan 30 (Tues)

Ram's boss and wife leave as it is late. Both Ram and Kasthuri are relieved. At the office Ram is thinking when the Peon comes in and ask Ram what the matter is. Ram asks him about Lakhsmi (the lady who posed as Kasthuri's MIL). Peon tells him that she had gone back to her hometown and he doesn't know her house. Ram offers money to the Peon to help him, to which the Peon tells Ram off and walks away. The peon sees Ganesh and tells him about Ram's behavior and asks Ganesh to advise his friend. Ram hears this and is furious. Ganesh tries to advise Ram but Ram walks away.

In the house, Kasthuri serves coffee to Ram and Ram asks her about the same Lakshmi. He further probes saying surely Kasthuri would know Lakshmi's house. To this Kasthuri replies that Ram should ask his peon as he was the one who introduce Lakshmi to Ram. Ram get mad and tells Kasthuri to count her days in the house. Kasthuri leaves.

Rekha's parents are talking and Kasthuri brings coffee for them, while they are talking, Rameshwaram comes in and wants to talk to them inprivate. Kasthuri leaves and Rameshwaram spins a story about how he wants to become a business tycoon. He wants his BIL to give him 10 Laks so that he can start a business. BIL asks him to give him a project report so that he can discuss with his SIL Ram and if Ram approves will then give him the money. Rameshwaram gets angry and tells hims if that is the only way to get money from BIL, he doesn't want it and goes out in anger. He meets his friend and plots to get Ram and Kasthuri thrown out of his BIL's house. THODARUM

That's all I can remember (Please not: It was pure torture to sit thru this episode even with forwarding all the commercials!)

Jan 31 (Wed):

Ram is walking down the street in town, to his car. Suresh (I have not seen this guy before) with a bag sees Ram and calls his 'mama'. Rams sees him and is petrified. Ram gets into his car and tries to leave but the car could start. Suresh comes and tells him that he was trying to get Ram's attention but Ram did not notice him. Suresh gets in the car and tells Ram to drive off. Ram asks Suresh to push the car as it would start. Suresh pushes and the car starts. Ram drives off without Surest.

Suresh is upset and calls Kasthuri at home. He relates the incident to Kasthuri and Kasthuri says Ram might just be playing with him (Ya right!). She then gives him the direction to the house and tells him to come. She puts the receiver down and is shocked to see Ram there. She tells Ram that Suresh is coming and why Ram had left him in town. Ram tells her that he does not want Suresh in the house and tells Kasthuri to talk to him outside and ask him to leave immediately.

Suresh arrives and is surprised to see Kasthuri is living in such a huge house. Kasthuri asks Suresh's reason for coming to town. Suresh says he is he to take an exam and to visit Kasthuri. Kasthuri invites him in and asks how long he is staying. At first Suresh say for one month and after seeing Kasthuri's shocked face, says one week and later decides he will stay only for 2 days. Kasthuri then asks Suresh to take a shower.

Rekha, her parents and Rameshwaram return from some function. Some dumb dialogues by Rameshwaram here. Rekha's mom see a tukku on the dining table and all of them fo to take a look. Rameshwaram tells his sister not to open the tukku. Kasthuri comes there and says the tukku is hers and that her neighbour from the village whom is like a brother to her brought the tukku for her. She opens it and shows some murukku. Rameshwaram then tells everyone that when Kasthuri first came to the house she had said that she is an orphan and where did this brother come from now.............THODARUM.

Feb 1 (Thur)

Continuation from yesterday. Kasthuri somehow convinces Rekha's family that the brother is her neighbor's son who was very close to her. Offers the murukku to Rekha and Rameshwaram.

Suresh wants to know why Kasthuri is always in the kitchen and if she can show him around the house. Kasthuri says okay. she also tells him not to say anything to any of the house owners. Suresh nods and goes to motai madi to dry laundry. He sees Rekha talking to Ram about Kasthuri's brother staying a couple of days in the house. Ram refuses,s aying that allowing and catering to all of Kasthuri whims will only create problems and that she is just a servant and that her husband has left her and run away. Suresh is shocked to hear this.

He runs down and confronts him. Ram tells him everything he heard is true an that Kasthuri is only a servant here and that Rekha is his only wife. Ram goes on insulting his Kasthuri's family. suresh gets anry and tries to choke Ram. Kasthuri come and slaps suresh and tells him to stop and leave imediately. suresh tries to reason with Kasthuri and say s Ram needs to be taught a lesson but Kasthuri will not have any of that because Ram is her "GOD" (my foot! I almost puked! 🤢 ). Rams laughs and leaves them. Both sit and cry. 😡

Kasthuri tells Suresh not to tell her father or any one else int he village about the situation here. Kasthuri then goes to Ganesh's house and tells him about the incident and asks why Ganesh allowed Suresh to go to Ram's house. Ganesh tells Kasthuri that others need to know what is happening so that Ram would be scared to ill treat Kasthuri further. Kasthuri says that will not happen because Ram was not afraid that Suresh found about them but had insulted her family. Ganesh is shocked...........THODARUM.

Feb 2(Fri)

Continuation from yesterday. Ganesh tells Kasthuri that Suresh will now go back to the village and tell her parents about Ram and Ram would taught a lesson. Kasthuri tells Ganesh this will not happen because she made her brother promise not to tell anyone. Ganesh is disappointed.

Suresh goes home and every one ask if he visited Kasthuri and scene of incidents at Kasthuri's place flashes through Suresh's mind. Suresh keeps quiet and has tears in his eyes. Murali and his mom enters and ask Suresh the same question ahe is is quiet and leaves to take shower. When Murali and his mum ask what the matter is, Kasthuri's dad says it is 'Anantha kaneer' after seeing his sister happy life.

At Rekha's house, Kasthuri and Anamalai's family are talking, Ganesh comes in for a visit. Everyone welcoms him and are talking when Ram walks in. Ganesh takes out some Kumguma Poo, saying that is friend from Kashmir sent it and gives to Rekha. He tells Rekha to take the Kunguma Poo with milk so that the child she is carrying will be fair, because Ram does not like dar skinned and if the baby is born dark, Ram might throw the child away. Ram is shocked to hear this but the other take it as a joke and laugh. Ganesh wants to talk to Ram about some 'Project' and if Ram want to speak in from of the family or alone. Rame takes Ganesh upstairs to his room to talk.

In theroom, Ram wants to know what Ganesh wants. Ganesh tells Ram not to abuse Kasthuri and if he continues Ram will have to face the consequences. Ram sneers at him. Ganesh then takes out a wedding photo showing Ram tying 'thali' to Kasthuri and says he will show it to Anamalai. Ram is not bothered and Ganesh takes another photo of Ram tying 'thali' to Rekha and says this photo he will take to the village and give to his parents and Kasthuri's family. Ram get angry and tells Ganesh to do what he wants but he will not accept Kasthuri as his wife. As usual Kasthuri comes in and supports Ram and Ganesh get angry and leaves.

Ram meets some goondas and tell them to kidnap Kasthuri and throw her in Bombay. He gives them $50,000 for the job. He gives them the time and vehicle number. When asked for photograph, Ram says he has non but the information given is enough for them. He also tells them that their job is to kidnap her and leave her in Bombay nothing else and leaves.

Next morning, Rekha and her mom are reading the papers, Kasthuri comes in with coffee and mumbling that it is late and that she has to go to the market to buy grocery. She gives coffee to Rekha and her mom and asks if the men are awake. Rekha tells Kasthuri not to wake Ram because he came home late. While Rekha and her mom are talking, the phone rings and it is Rekha's friend Sumathi's mother. She tells Rekha that Sumathi is seriously ill and being admitted in the hospital. She requests Rekha to come. Rekha is shocked and tells her mother, both fix to leave for the hospital...........THODARUM

Feb 5 (Mon):

Rekha leaves for the hospital to visit friend. Kasthuri tries to stop her as she wants to go to the market but fails. Three men paid by Ram are waiting at the street corner to kidnap Kasthuri. they see the car coming and stops it. Beats up the Driver and tries to take Rekha (mistaken identity here!). Jagdish comes to her rescue and takes her to the hospital.

Ram is getting ready to go to work. Kasthuri come in with coffee and he is shocked. He askes why she hasn't fone to the market. Kasthuri informs that Rekha took the car to visit her friend in the hospital. Ram is worried and tries to call Rekha on the cell, but Rekha has left the cell at home. Ram goes downstairs. anamalai is leavign for work when Jagdish calls and informs about Rekha being admitted in the hospital. He briefly tells of the attempted kidnapping. All including Kasthuri leaves for the hospital.

At thehospital, Jagdish tells them that he saw Rekha being assaulted by three men and he rescued her and admitted her int he hospital due to injuries. The doctor comes in and says that Rekha has lost a lot of blood and need transfusion and that Rekha's blood is AB positive. Anamalai informs that Kasthuri's blood in of the same group and Kasthuri willingly donates. Ram promises find and bring the kidnappers to justice. 😡

Rekha is saved and she is thankful to Kasthuri for saving her.

At the village, Kasthuri's sister Thanam is leaving for work. Her father stops her saying that someone is coming with marriage proposal for her. Thanam is shocked but is unable to say anything. She pollumbufies to her sister, Gaja. Siva arrives with his parents to see Thanam and her father invites them in. Attai tells Thanam that the mapilai has come to see her and that he looks more handsome than when he came to see Kasthuri. thanam is confused and asks who it is and attai tells her it is Siva and Thanam is pleased.........THODARUM

Feb 6 (Tues):

Continuation from yesterday - Siva's parents and Kasthuri's father talk about wedding plans. Kasthuri's father wants to consult his mutha mapillai aboutthe dates and calls Ram's cell. Ram answers and is told about the wedding and Ram tells him to go ahead. Kasthuri is at Ram's side but when her father asks to speak to her, Ram says he is in the office and hangs up.
Kasthuri is set. The wedding plans discussed and everyone take leave.

Rekha is brought home from the hospital. Rekha calls Kasthuri and tells her to sit by her side and asks Kasthuri to ask for anything that she might want because Rekha wants to give something. Ram is irritated and looks worried. Kasthuri says she wants Rekha to deliver the baby and let her take care and also wants the to allow her to stay with them forever. Ram although he is irritated, is relieved. Rekha is asked to take rest. Rekha's father wants to to make a police complaint. Ram gets worried and says since they don't know anything about the kidnapeprs how will he do it. Annamalai says, the driver has the car reg. no. and this will do. Ram follows his FIl to the police station to lodge a report. Ram is very quiet. Annamalai gives the Regn. number to the police and tell them to find the culprits and leaves.

Ram is with the 3 men he hired to kidnap Kasthuri and is beating them. He is angry that they failed and had tried to kidnap Rekha instead of Kasthuri. The men tell him it is Ram's fault because he did not give them a photo thus the mistaken identity. They also tell them that the reg. no. is false so nothing to worry about. They also refuse to return the money given to them. Ram leaves quite happy.

At the village, Kasthuri's father visits Murali's mum and tells about Thanam's wedding. His sister says it is okay. She says she is only disappointed that non of his daughters became her marumagal. Murali comes and consoles his mother and says that it was he who found out about Siva and told his uncle to arrange for the Siva-Thanam marriage. His mother is proud of her son.

Rekha is resting in her room and Ram is beside her. Kasthuri gives her medication and tells Rekha to rest while she goes down to prepare lunch. She tells Rekha not to come downstairs and if she needs anything to call her. Rekha stops Kasthuri and tells her there is something very important to tell her. Rekha tells Kasthuri that the beatings she got from the kidnappers was actually meant for Kasthuri. Ram is shocked to hear this and looks up..............THODARUM

Feb 07 (Wed):

Rekha tells Kasthuri that the kidnappers called her Kasthuri. She also says that Kasthuri should not leave the house alone and to be careful at all times. Rekha asks Ram to tell Kasthuri to be careful. Ram is visibly uncomfortable but tells Kasthuri. Kasthuri tells Rekha she has no enemy but looks at Ram. Scenes of Ram's actions when Kasthuri tells him about Rekha taking to car to the hospital flashes through Kasthuri's mind. She realizes that this is Ram's work.

Ram is walking in the garden. Kasthuri comes to him and asks him how he could stoop so low as to get her out of the house. She also tells him that he is responsible for Rekha's condition now. Ram tells Kasthuri it is not because of him that Rekha is hurt but Kasthuri. He goes on to tell her that if Kasthuri has not come to the house, this would not have happen because of her his nimathi is gone and that's why he had come to this decision. Kasthuri tells him that she had hoped that one day Ram would accept her but now realize that is not going to happen (duh.. ithu understand panna ivalo naala? 😡 ). She tells Ram that she would leave the house immediately. Ram gives her some money, but Kasthuri refuses.

Everyone is asleep. Kasthuri is in the kitchen and crying😭.....inga oru paadal - Kane Kasthuri Kalangathe......... Kasthuri gets up, goes into each one of the rooms and bids farewell to them (They are sleeping of course and in oblivious to the situation). Kathuri leaves the house.

Next morning, Rekha comes down to her mother who is reading the morning paper. Calls for Kasthuri to bring coffee. After a while there is still no sign of Kasthuri and the house is quiet. Rekha asks her mom if she had sent Kasthuri somewhere and her mom says no. Rekha goes to the kitchen to look for Kasthuri but she is not there. Rekha sees a piece of paper on the counter and takes it...............THODARUM

Feb 8 (Thurs):

Con't from yesterday. Rekha reads the letter - Kasthuri tells them she is leaving and will not come back. Also tells them not to look for her. Rekha tells her parents that Kasthuri has left the house and tells don't know what's happen to her. Ram comes down and asks whats going on and Rekha tells him about Kasthuri. Anamalai want's to look for her.

In Kashturi's house, Siva comes to talk about wedidng plans and it is agreed that it would me a moderate wedding and would take place as soon as the date is fixed. Siva leaves.

Annamalai and Ram are having breakfast, served by Rekha and her mom. Rekha again tells her dad to look for Kasthuri. Ram gets angry and tells Rekha to stop talking about that "odukali". Annamalai asks Ram why he hates Kasthuri so much and if he is behind Kasthuri's disappearance. Ram says he has nothing against Kasthuri as she is nobody to her. Annamalai wants to see Kasthuri's "MIL" and ask about her. Ram says he is busy and has no time for all this. Rekha tells her dad to call Ganesh because Ganesh will help no matter how busy he is. Annamalai calls Ganesh and tells him about Kasthuri and asks if he can help find her. Ganesh understands that this is all Ram's doing and tells Annamalai he will find Kasthuri.

At the village, Gaja is walking and suddenly faints. Her atai comes to the rescue with some other ladies and helps her. She is revived and one of the ladies tell atai to take her home. Also says that she has seen Gaja vomiting a few times before and says that Gaja needs to see the doctor as there could be 'something' worng with her. Atai takes Gaja home. On the way a lady is saying "entha pothula entha pambu irukku nu yaruku theriyum." Both Gaja and Atai go home. At home Murali's mom, atai, Thanam and father are meeting to talk about Gaja's situation. Gaja is in the room crying. Atai tells that now only thpeople here knows about Gaja. It would be more embarrasing if Thanam's in laws finds out about this. Thanam's father asks what can be done and atai says we have no choice but to abort the child as the guy who cheated gaja is not to be found. Thanam and Gaja are shocked....THODARUM

Feb 09 (Fri)

It is decided that Gaja would be taken to a hospital out of town for the abortion.

Ganesh storms into Ram's office and asks him what he has done to Kasthuri. Ram tells him that he is happy that Kasthuri has gone for good. Ganesh tells him he tell his parents and tries to call his dad but Ram stops him and says that their friendship will suffer if Ganesh interferes. Ganesh tells Ram that there is no friendship between them so he does'nt care and tells Ram that he will bring Kasthuri back to the house and leaves.

Kasthuri is at the temple and a lady selling flowers calls her and asks hre what the matter is. Kasthuri tells the lady that her husband hates her and as such she has left home. The lady advises her to go home because she looks naive and that there are many evil persons around and she will be harmed. Kasthuri nods and leaves.

Three man is standing by a van, two of them tell the 3rd man to stand guard while they go for tea. They have a boy tied up in the van (sam Vijay from Muhurtham). Kasthuri is walking toward the Van and sees Ganesh coming towards her and she hides behind the van. Ganesh rides off without seeing her. The third man also goes of locking the van door. Kasthuri peeps into the van, the boy kicks on the door and Kasthuri asks the boy to open the lock. the boy somehow opens the lock and Kasthuri unties him and takes him out. the boy tells her that his driver and two others kidnapped him for ransom. Kasthuri asks his name and he says it is Ram. Kasthuri is all emotional 😡 and hugs him.

Ram's father is praying for the safe return of his son. The door bell rings and Ram's father opens the door and sees Kasthuri. Ram comes from behind and tells him, that the driver and two others kidnapped him and that Kasthuri saved him. They invite Kasthuri in. Ram shows a garlanded photograph of a women and says that is his mom and she died when he was a babay. Kasthuri hugs him and........THODARUM.
