Here's March 13th (Tues) Update:

The phone rings and Siva picks it up. The girl is non other than his sister Sumathi, calling from college. (So much for the suspense 😳 ). She speaks to everyone and tells them she will be coming home in two days for the wedding. Kasthuri goes to Ganesh's house, Ganesh calls Suresh who has come there. Suresh says he has come to invite Kasthuri for Thanam and Gaja's wedding and wants both Kasthuri and Ram to go back with him. Kasthuri tells them it is not possible as she knows for sure that Ram will not agree. Ganesh and Suresh convince Kasthuri that they will make sure that Kasthuri and Ram goes to the wedding. Kasthuri leaves. Ganesh asks Suresh to call Annamalai's house. Suresh calls and Annamalai answers. Suresh request to speak to Kasthuri and Annamalai and Radha tell him that Kasthuri has gone out. Suresh then tells him that his mother who is very close to Kasthuri is sick and wants to see her. He asks Annamalai's permission to take Kasthuri back with him and Annamalai agrees. After the call, both Ganesh and Suresh think how to get Ram to go back.

Annamalai and his wife are talking about Suresh call when Rekha and Ram comes there. Annamalai tells them about Suresh's call. Kasthuri returns from grocery shopping and is informed about the call. They tell Kasthuri to get ready. Annamalai tells his wife to give some money to Kasthuri for her expenses. Kasthuri gets ready to leave and they tell her not to hurry back but to take her time. Annamalai tells Kasthuri that the driver will drive her tothe station but Kasthuri refuses and take leave. Ram thinks to himself, why Kasthuri is leaving alone when Ganesh told him that they will make sure that Ram follows. Hoever, he is happy the Kasthuri is leaving and hope she never comes back. He then tells everyone he is going to work. Rekha asks him if he can drop Kasthuri off at the station but he refuses.

Thanam goes to her siva's house with a gift for her future MIL. She wishes Megala happy birthday and gives her the gift - a saree. Megala is very happy and looks thru the Saree carefully and is proud that it is a costly one. She then tells Siva to show her the house while she gets something to eat. Siva shows around and comes to his room and tells her she can change anything she wants after marriage. Thanam says not necessary and looks around. She finds a photo album and look at the first photo - Sumathi's and is shocked. Some flashback - during college days Thanam's encounter with Sumathi - not a good one. Sumathi warning Thanam not to interefer in her affairs or cross her or else Thanam will have to face dire consequences. THODARUM.

Note: Looks like Thanam will have problems with both MIL and SIL - typical serial storyline! 😡

March 14 (Wed):

Siva asks why she is staring at Sumathi's photo and Thanam says she is very beautiful and gives bak the album. Siva's mom is curious why they are taking so long to look around the house. She has made some payasam for them and her husband is trying to get some! Megala stops his (this was funny!) Siva and Thanam comes and they talk some more and Thanam takes leave. Megala too goes inside to look at the saree Thanam gave her. Siva's father then asks his son if he had bought the saree and asked Thanam to present it to Megala. He says yes and goes to have some payasam.

Ram goes to his office and talks to himself. He is wondering how come Kasthuri has left without him. He then deduces that may she concluded that Ram will never come, she has gone herself. He then looks sits at his table and signs some papers in a file and walks to the door and looks at Ganesh. He then sees suresh walking in and goes back to his seat. Suresh walks ins and says how are you "Mamo" and Ram gets angry and tells hims not to call him that but Suresh says he is his BIL and he will do so. He then tells Ram to get ready as they have to leave for the wedding. Ram tells Suresh that Kasthuri has already left. suresh informs Ram that Kasthuri is still in town in Ganesh's house and they would only leave with Ram. He says he has four tickets booked for hi, Ram, Kasthuri and Ganesh. He tells Ram to come to the Railway station at 3.30 as the train leaves at 4.00pm. He warns Ram, that is he is not there at 3.30pm, he will go to the police station and Ram will be in a lot of trouble. He also tells Ram that he is not afraid of Ram like his sister is, so he better comply, otherwise...... 👏

Rekha is packing for Ram's journey. Ram has told Rekha that he has to go to Mumbai on business. Rekha is angry that Ram has to go outstation at such short notice. Ram tells Rekha not to call him until he calls her as that will disturb his work. They go downstairs and Ram tells his inlaws that he will be back in 4-5 days. Radha tells Ram to call Rekha often as she will miss him.

Megala is cutting some vegetable and the door bell rings. She goes to open it and find no one there exept for luggage and slippers. She knows it is her daughter Sumathi and calls for her. Sumathi comes from the back and surprises her mother. Both go inside and exchagne greeting and her father joins them. Sumathi then asks to see her future SIL's photo and Megala gives it to her. Sumathi looks at it and is shocked - flashback in college where Thanam tells Megala that it was not her who pothukuduthufy her to the principal about something and that Sumathi is mistaken and leaves the place angrily......THODARUM

March 15 (Thurs):

Sumathi is still staring at Thanam's photo. Megala asks why she is staring and if she likes Thanam. Sumathi says yes and goes to her room. Both Megala and husband are happy that their daughter likes Thanam.

At Thanam's house, all preparations are underway for the wedding. Kasthuri, Ram, Suresh and Ganesh arrives. Kasthuri's father welcomes then and ask about their journey, and Ram is very rude to him. the old man is upset but nevertheless tells Kasthuri to take them inside. Kasthuri goes inside and everyone si happy to see her. They welcome the others and they are all surprised at Ram's cold attitude towrds them. Kasthuri's father tells Suresh to take both Ganesh and Ram to the adjoining house and to take care of them.
the three men enter the house alloted for their stay and Ram is sulking and threatens to leave. Suresh tells him he cannot leave until the wedding is over and he must come to the wedding as he has no choice. Ram tells him he willleave to which Suresh laughs and tells hem he cannot even set his foot outside the village boundary as his friends will take care of that. A fight ensues between the two and Ganesh stops. Ganesh tells Ram to behave himself for the two days he is to stay there and goes into the room.

Kasthuri is praying to her mother's photo and seeks blessing for her sisters' wedding and hope for a better married life that what she is undergoing. Her father comes there and both talk some more about how much happier it would have been if she was alive. Then her 2 aunts arrive and one of them say that Kasthuri's father has been so worried about the future of his daughters but now have successfully arranged a good life for them. Kasthuri talks to her aunts and her sisters about how her husband is a big officer in town and asks about both the mappilais. The says she knows about siva but knows nothing about Gaja's partner. Everyone looks at each other and her aunt tells her that Palani is a very good person and THODARUM.

March 16 (Fri)

Kasthuri is questioning about Gaja's future husband. Attai tells that he is a very nice guy, but Kasthuri says who are his people (Why this question now, when the wedding is the next morning!). Somehow they tell since Gaja loved the boy they fixed it. Kasthuriis not satisfied and then she is told that the wedding must take place because the situation is such. Kasthuri gets mad and stars hitting her sister. Then everyone calm down.

Kasthuri is arranging the food to be taken to the mandapam when Suresh comes there asking if Ram came there. Kasthuri says no and they panic. Ganesh too comes and they start discussing. Suresh wants to tell everything to his father, and at that moment their father comes and asks what is going on and Suresh starts, but Ram suddenly appears and apologizes to his FIL. He also gives $30,000 to his FIL and says to accept it for the wedding expenses. His FIL refuses and the others too object but after much persuasion, Rams FIL accepts. Ram goes to his room and Ganesh asks why the change of heart. Ram says it was his father who asked him to give the money to his FIL. Suresh is listening to this conversation. Ganesh tells Ram that only God can change him and leaves.

At the wedding mandapam everyone is busy. Thanam and Gaja are talking to their friends. Siva and his family arrive, and is welcomed by Thanam's attai. Siva's mother complains about the vehicles sent by the bride's side. She goes on to say that her relatives are still waiting at her house and wants them to send another vehicle to transport them here. Murali tells them that he will arange transportation. Siva and family are taken into the mandapam and attai tells them their room is upstairs and if they want they can go up and take rest. Megala tells them she will wait for her relatives to come and then think about rest and goes to sit down. Attai servs some drinks and Megala refuses. Siva tries to take the drink and is stopped by his mother, snapps at his saying he already had cofee before they left. Siva is uneasy and THODAROM.

Note: This Megala is behaving very badly - too much mouthing! She simply wants to hurt other people's feeling. Typical Serial MIL - Poor thanam😭
