Yeah. For some reason, I think that whole submissive gene missed us MOST somali girls like 80% of us. Most of us are very respective to adults and guys but can still voice our opinion. There no such a thing as saas bahu. But, the ones from very deep rural rural Somali's have that submissive mentality. I was shock when I met some of these girls. I once almost slap this idiot Somali guy b/c of the way he was talking to his new fiance. He thought I looked "like an Arab" and didn't understand how he was talking to her. My older sister pull me out of that situation and told me where they were from. I was in shock, I tell you.
About Saudi Arabia. I feel like that is the one place I will never live. Which is sad cause that is where the Hajj is. I did a paper on the that once and my classmates were all shocked that girls were being treated like black people were being treated back in the day. And, asked how I felt about it and I made some smart-ass comment. I think they got the point. I was not a fan of it.
I am totally getting arrested if I ever go there cause there is no way I am going to let some guy to tell me to go to the back of the bus or wait for me to leave home/hotel.
