Kapil's confusion was now fading away slightly when he saw Dadi in the room. She came and sat on the rocking chair. Her hand resting on her stick.His mom stood beside Dadi.

"Puch mujhse kya puchna hai " She sated and he took a deep breath trying to stay normal.

"Aapne Sumona se kya kaha ?"

"Yehi ke agar woh tujhse shaadi karna chahti hai toh usse uss bachi ko chodna hoga " Dadi informed calmly.

"Kya ?! " He has seen Sumona's love for Pari and has also experienced the love she had for him.

"Haan. . Ab kya woh apni shaadi mein apni bachi ko leker aayegi ? Woh toh uski sagi bhi nahi hai. . . Pata nahi aaj kal ke bacche kaise badoun se puche bina faisle kar lete hai. . Agar woh bacchi ko nahi chodegi toh tu bhi usse shaadi nahi karega " Dadi said looking at Kapil who was shocked to know that his own Dadi did this. How will Sumona ever choose between her daughter and her man ? What kind of a choice is this ? its a clear defeat.

" Dadi yeh kaisi situation mein daaldiya aapne Sumona ko ?"

"Teri Sumona ne khud kaha ke woh Pari ko chodne ke liye tayyar nahi hai toh matlab woh tujhse shaadi nahi karna chahti. . " This was definitely something to laugh on. He was sure Sumona hasn't said she doesn't want to marry him. Its Dadi who doesnt want them to get married and this has hurt him badly.

"Aur waise bhi log jab uss bacchi ko tum dono ke saath dekhengey toh pata nahi kya kya sonchengey. . Samaaj mein humara naam badnaam hojayega " She said cleaning her glasses with the corner of her dupatta.

"Accha ? Aapke issi samaaj mein se kisine Pari ko sadak par chodiya aur MERI SUMONA " Dadi's hands halted hearing so and she looked up at him.

"Tameez bhool gaye ho apni ?"

"Nahi bhoola iseliye aapko samjhane ki koshish kar raha hoon ke meri Sumona ne ek choti si bacchi ko sahara diya. . Pyaar diya. . Mamta di. . Aur aaj bhi woh yehi khwaish rakhti hai ke woh Pari ko ek acchi zindagi de sakey aur mujhe isme kuch galat nahi dikhayi deta. . Balki garv hai mujhe apni Sumona par " His heart swelled with pride and more respect for her grew.

"Kya jadoo tona kardiya hai usne humarey bete par ?" Dadi questioned looking at Aunty.

"Yeh kya badtameezi hai Kapil ? Aise baat kartey hai badoun se ?" Aunty questioned holding his arm.

"Aur nahi toh kya karoun maa ? Yeh "log kya kahengey" iss sawal ne lakhoun ko khush zindagi jeene se roka hai. . Sumona ne jab Pari ko apnaya tha tab usne logo ke baremein nahi soncha balki uss be sahara bacchi ke baremein soncha ! Aap log kyun nahi samjhtey ? " He felt broken inside. His own family whom he expected to be his support system was standing against.

"Tu kyun nahi samjhta ? Hume bahu chahiye naki ek bacchi ki Maa !" Dadi got up.

" Shaadi ke baad aapki bahu maa hi baneygi. . Lad rahi hai woh aapke iss samaaj se apni bacchi ki khushi ke liye. . Aur jab mein uska saath dena chahta hoon toh kyun rok rahe ho mujhe ?" It was so painful to actually argue with his own family & he hated doing so.

The room went quiet. Pin drop silence it was until Kapil decided to break the ice. He missed someone right now.

"Agar aaj Papa hotey na Maa toh mera saath dete. . Sumona ko apni bahu banatey aur Pari ko apni sagi poti se zyada pyaar kartey. ." His eyes welled up with tears. His heart was shattered in millions of pieces right now.

"Bachpan mein hamesha yehi suna hai ke badoun ki izzat karna chahiye. . Aur mein nahi chahta ke meri shaadi se koi bhi naraz ho. . Mein intezaar karunga aap logo ke faisle ke liye par Sumona se hi shaadi karunga aur Pari meri hi beti hai. . " A minute more and he knew he will break down in tears and cry like a baby.

This part was way too emotional for me. Aansu agaye yaar. So beautifully shown though. Each n every line was so realistic. This is such a big problem..society..ke log kya sochenge woh kya kahenge humare bare mein n what not. It actually ruins everything more than unites people. I just hope dadi agrees. Tht last part where he mentioned his dad was the saddest part!

That was so emotional... kappu ne to rula hi dia yaar... 😔 kya log bhi jab dekho samaj samaj karte rehte h... sahi bola kappu ne... isi samaj m se to kisi ne pyaari si pari ko sadak p chhod dia tha 😡

And then he will fight for the world for his love😳 what say😆 just a thought to make story more interesting.
