Am I the only one

Seven years ago Thapki was given an option, either take off leaving Bihaan behind or stay and watch him die. She chose to take off and took their daughter with her. If you acknowledge the fact that Sankar and Shradda are effed up enough in the head to have followed through on their threat was Thapki's decision to keep Bihaan away from their daughter really so wrong? If she herself had gone and left her daughter behind how would the chudails have treated Bani considering they abuse Tina whom they know is Thahaan's child. It's true, a child needs their father but it also needs its mother. Look at Tina and her yearning for her real mother in spite of the fact that Goberdevi is supposedly her mother. For me at the time the circumstances were such that every decision that Thapki made was a lose lose. At the time she left Bihaan he was a fully functioning adult with the capacity to repel Gober's overtures of love so she could leave him and think he would repel her advances. Her daughter didn't have the capacity for such a fight. It would have been different if Thapki had done everything she had done out of spite but she didn't. That's why perhaps I am the only one who thinks Thapki is not to blame for keeping Bani away from her dad. If anyone is to blame it's the devil personified Sankar.

Bea as you said bihaan was an adult to repel sankar's tortures or her lust over him, even thapki was adult enough to face sankar or atleast try to neutralise the effect of Sankar's threats since she knew sankar is the real sankar and she's very well alive. If tomorrow someone else comes up with similar excuses or situations, would it be again sensible for thapki to move away from bihaan or her family..and above all, sankar was her first child's murderer, sankar is to be jailed and behind the bars and not to be left free for so many years with the family only to harm them. That single paper threat seemed so lame since gobardevi is very well alive. I don't completely blame Thapki but there are flaws in her too this time..

well said. thapki being a law graduate how she got scared of such a silly and sttupid threat is beyond my understanding. ofcourse only the cvs can answer this question.
