Why doesn't Thapki want to go back to Dhruv?

After watching yesterday's episode, I am not sure why Thapki does not want go back to Dhurv.
She hates Bihaan and knows that the divorce after 3-months is on track. She has forgiven Dhruv for breaking her "trust" but still trusts him more than anyone. At least now she knows he is human too and not some demi-god on a pedestal. She knows he really loves her. She does not know Vasu's feeling and thinks the whole family is with her. I don't think it is the morality of the situation (from one brother to another) that is holding her back.

She may not love Dhurv but love was not one of her requirements for getting married either. If it was, she would have never agreed to marry Diwaker or Dhruv.

So what is her logic????

I know I may be trying to find too much logic in a daily soap but this show is supposed to about Thapki. It would be good to know what is going through this character's head.

Well, I think it is morality and her beliefs, and the fact that she stands by whatever she has said before. She clearly mentioned that there is nothing left between the two of them. If she was in love or even in the hope that she might get back with Dhruv after the divorce; she would have never brushed off Dhruv.
Plus, its a daily serial, writers will need a lot of guts to show a girl having romantic relationships with another man after she is married. And since thapki is the sanskari bahu; showing her going astray from beliefs and traditions would not be digested well within the audiences.

If she stands by what she says, she can never accept Bihaan either. She already told him too many times "Iss dhokhe ki meri zindagi ki koi jagah nahi" and similar items.

Morality issue is questionable as it has not been brought up at all - directly or indirectly. None of the characters have mentioned it. In fact on this show, it seems to be a non-issue. Bhabhis were talking about Dhurv-Thapki after divorce. Vasu is worried about it, not for the morality reason. Now Bihaan is planning for it.

Well, after the marriage she had a choice; either to go in a relationship with Dhruv her husband's brother or to accept her husband.
She didn't go for the first one, that leaves the latter.
Now, why didn't she accept Dhruv's offfer right after marriage is a big question.
I still don't think that this Bihaan's planning of re-uniting thapki dhruv would last long. I see no future for it. Neither would the family accept it nor the audiences. Becuase even from the audiences perspective, it looks so morally unacceptable to watch a married girl having a relationship with another man; would the writers go to the extend of showing it on TV??

If thapki was a vamp, I would have accepted it..but she isn't!!

I agree that she is not going back to Dhruv and Bihaan's planning is a dud to start out with. I like it this way, anyway. I like Bihaan's character plus the morality issue is too much for me for any other conclusion.

I just don't get Thapki's reasoning. She was very angry the first time she told Dhruv to buzz off. Now she is not.

I guess she is not that angry, anymore, because she had some time to cope with the current situation. And as I mentioned elsewhere, Bihaan's attempt to bring her and Dhruv back together are actually laying the foundation for both, Dhruv and Thapki, to find final closure and move on from their past relationship - with confronting her with the past, e.g. Dhruv, Bihaan is unintentionally helping Thapki to let go of whatever anger she holds for Dhruv and with it, to let go of Dhruv, completely.

As for why she doesn't want to get back - there is this saying, that one may forgive but never forget. Even if Thapki has forgiven Dhruv for breaking his promise, does that necessarily indicate that she has forgotten that instance in her life? I don't think so. Once bitten, twice shy.

Another reason I'd think of is very simple: Dhruv is Bihaan's brother. Yes, morality probably does not play a huge factor in Thapki's rationalizing the situation, but the fact remains that Dhruv and Bihaan are brothers. If Thapki were to marry Dhruv after her divorce, she still would be confronted with Bihaan on a daily basis, living under the same roof as him, her past and the betrayal would always be in front of her. She wouldn't be able to move on - vice versa, e.g. if she remained with Bihaan, she'd move on completely from Dhruv. Why? Just remember the episode of her breakdown after finding out whom she got married to- more than her marriage breaking, what was she devastated about? The fact that Bihaan broke the marriage due to her stammering. Dhruv cannot heal that wound, only Bihaan can (whether as a friend or a lover).

And the love factor is also important. Dhruv has always loved her more, there's no denying of that. Would she love him equally as much, she would never let go - but she is doing exactly that. It looks like Dhruv was a chapter in her life which she is closing now as she is over with it, no hard feelings but not a big enough attachment to cling to- She tried, it didn't work out, let's move on. Maybe she just accepts that her and Dhruv's relationship was only this long-lived and life has different plans for both of them, now.
