My apologies to the fans of this show, for my harsh words. In all my years of watching hindi soaps, I've never felt compelled to criticize actors in this forum because while not being great, most actors are passable. But the leads actors of this show are so so bad in emoting that I wonder how they were casted ?

Hindi TV history is replete with similar love-hate storylines- couldn't they at least take some lessons from them ? If you can't be creative then just copy others.. anything is better than such stony performances. Both the hero and heroine, dialouge delivery is robotic n monotonous, no expression in eyes - both have an over bronzed plastic look of reading lines from the script.

Honestly feel the opposite. I am sticking through cause of the acting which is genuinely terrible in so many shows, even though charaterization of Angad is absolute gutter.

Minus Vj in scenes where he has to look heartbroken, all other scenes seem well acted. Tv actors perform quite terribly half the time as they have to shoot some crap for years, 0 growth, inspo and same lame script penned a day before.

But Vj is one of the few actors who got the angry young man role fully right, his acting makes me feel genuine fear for Sahiba. Nakuul used to ham so much as Shivaay, Barun's angry scenes as Asr heavily relied on background music to add some gravity. Harshad is overdoing it as Abhimanyu.

Himanshi is fine, she has not gotten any stand out moments of breakdown or monologues but her dialogue delivery is on point and she conveys the 'This man, I give up' and 'oh the audacity' look nicely most of the time.

The supporting cast that play Santhu, Manveer, Garry, Keerat, Hansraj all do well.

I honestly think we are so used to seeing trip and fall scenes , eye locks with background music when leads hate each other that when writers are showing genuine hatred, people are confusing for bad acting and no chemistry. I will reserve my judgement for romantic Angad acting later as Vj as Angad in love with Seerat just made me cringe, let us see if it is because there was no development or Vj is genuinely bad at romance.

While I do understand the sentiment, I think more than actors the script is to be blamed.

Everything is over done, hate between leads, hate of family for female lead. And it's all repeat .. the script has not given them any other emotion at all.

I keep taking breaks from this show and to be honest the hate element just does not go away even after months.

If they would have been consistent with OG and then if we would feel that actors are not doing good job then it's fair call, but all through the episodes I have seen angad is either too angry too stupid and most of the times expressing hate to FL and for sahiba it feels like she is always suppressed by her mom and elder sister, is just shown doing things for others or is also hating angad, like when they introduced her merko wo tabhi ghussail hi lagi thi, like someone who has hand to mouth existence does not pick fight with consumers not in her line of work.

Unko scenes hi 1 jaise mil rahe that's main concern.

That's my opinion though.

I am here just coz the OG was soo good and due to language constraint there is a lot I did not understand and so hoping that they bring back the same charm in coming days else say good bye too it.

I am sure most of the folks with OG as ref watch are here for thier fav portions to play out.

But this PH the writes are just putting on crap each day, every day...

Thanks for your response! To each his own. But if you are implying that I am missing the the over the top falling/eyelock scenes, let me clarify that as my posted stated, I was strictly talking about eye expression, dialoge delivery etc. There have been plenty of occasions for variations in tone, warmth in eyes, softness of manner - myriad range of expression could have been displayed. . A lot has happened with the girl and it looks like her expression is exactly the same all the time. And most annoying is her manner of speaking in that robotic monotonous voice with such a stiff face. I dont know why they have put so much cakey make up that her face looks so stiff while speaking, with just her lips moving. Personally, as a viewer I dont feel anything for her, inspite of everything bad that has happened, because of her poor acting. Anyway I hope with time, she improves. Again, I get that everybody has different opinions.

I think i get what you are trying to say. We dont feel anything for the characters, same here. I think objectively they are doing well in terms of acting, i burst out laughing with Hansrajs scenes. But all i feel is irritation for the leads, mainly because of the script. Have watched the og Bengali version and the actress is very good and experienced, even then I had a hard time feeling for her , maybe because she is never shown to feel sorry for herself and also cause of her hypocritical nature. And the male character is a jerk , all you can feel is 'Please go die'. It does change when we get to post Garry reveal phase, there are many solid moments to show chemistry and different emotions. Hopefully it improves here too, i blame writers who ruined potential by dragging this so much. Regarding the make up and costumes , yeah i hate them. The og show, the actress dressed so beautifully and had very nice no make up look. Himanshi gets such pale clothes and her entire look comes off very dull unlike the Bengali counterpart whose look became iconic.

Don’t know about acting but I feel zilch for the leads. Same expressions and dialogue and scenes are on repeat. I do like some of the side characters like seerat, jas, manbeer, they seem to have more substance.

Yeah, my barometer of a good show is that you end up feeling !something for the leads be it joy or sorrow. Here, I feel absolutely nothing. This is hardly a unique story ,,so script is what it is given the storyline..but the same story can be retold in interesting ways and good acting goes a long way in that. Unfortunately, the dialogues are also repetitive and delivered in the same mechanical manner. Hopefully there will be some improvement going forward

I get what you are trying to say... But I feel the script ought to be blamed for this... If the actors are given the same lines and the same scenes for days on end.. They seem to be monotonous and oh yes annoying af! But there is only so much that the actors can do. The lady playing Manbir.. If you notice is a great actress but her character is so annoying that you don't want to see her face anymore... And in that way she is doing justice to the character.. Same goes for VJ ... He's given the same Bandh karo yeh drama scenes almost on a daily basis.. he can come off as monotonous I agree... But I wudnt blame the actor at all... I think he's doing a great job hating Sahiba 🤣🤣🤣... And his character demands be dispassionate except for some outbursts... As for the Seerat romance I think that was intended to be cringy.. I had noticed the same in OG too. But I have to admit that I didn't like his acting initially.. Specially the first few episodes.. there I felt VJ was a bit.. I dunno trying to ape the heroes in this trope.. But later he picked up and gave his own thing to Angad... I m loving his portryal specially after the marriage... If you exclude thr hospital-wala Sahiba blaming sequence... I loved his emotional break down sequence when he reached his room after marriage, the one with Veer..

And I feel Himanshi is doing a decent job.. She's convincing as Sahiba.. I like her emotional scene as well.

Also the actress playing Seerat... She's awesome!
