This is such a profoundly REAL piece for Sahiba, I think. A loved one once told me, that to be a woman is to walk with a cage of fire around you so that no one can ever truly come close to you.... I think this has been very much true for Sahiba. As a young girl, and major bread earner for the family, she would've constantly come face to face with men older than her, that were more powerful than her. And I think that her intellect was her cage of fire, you know? Talk so sharply that they would fear what would happen upon touching her. Upon coming closer. And it kept her safe for all these years....
And now for Angad to actually manhandle her must have truly shook her, because all these years she's ensured it's never happened, right? And suddenly now she hasn't been able to, and she truly must have thought that as rude as he could be, he wouldn't stoop to that level. So now she's not only facing her worst fear, that of her and her dreams being caged by marriage and society and what not, but she also feels constantly unsafe. 😭
