Sometimes, Taani thought to herself, of what she had become all this time. It was about four months ago when all this happened, and yet she was helpless in reviving herself to the point where she feels alive again. She didn't know what this is, and why it was happening, all she knew was that it was what had made her into a living puppet. Breathing, walking, talking, smiling, and doing what from a distance seemed like a normal girl with a beautiful life. She looked perfect from the outside, the outer layer so very believable it almost convinced God of her so called 'life'. But the fact was, she died the moment everything slipped away. It had taken away what she felt no one could even come nearby. He had meant so much to her, at times she was quite incredulous.
And by who? Someone she thought would fight destiny for the sake of her small smile. Yet every moment, she didn't blame him, never once did she think he could ever be at fault. He was too much of an angel to be touched by anything remotely close to the word 'bad'. And believe it or not, he was the world's best person, no matter how many argues otherwise. She knew him, inside out, everything, every emotion, and every expression. She understood more than he could ever convey very much like how he did in regards to her. But that was past, and even if it was just some months ago, it felt like ages behind. She wanted her best friend back, but she knew it was too late. The moment and the time had passed. It was not a choice now, but just a desire. Something no matter how much she does would never be in her reach. Its distance was so vast if she tried to cross it, she would tarnish her best friend's happiness. And in the process her life as well...
He meant so much more that words could define. So much more than eyes could show, and so much more than the heart can convey. There are some people who promise to live and die with the person they love; some fulfils it, and the rest does not. Some people die for their love, either to be with them somewhere in the life beyond, or to give them happiness before leaving the world, in hope of keeping them happy. Taani lived to keep him happy; every moment of her life had his right. She died every single day, every hour, every moment in hope of him being happy somewhere in the corner of this vast world. She wasn't one of those who would die for the one she loves. She wasn't that strong to do so! She couldn't let all her responsibilities of keeping him happy lay by God's side. She would do anything to keep his smile on his face, and for that, uncountable deaths are just a part of it. She always feared with all the worries almighty have to do for others, she was the only one to take care of his happiness. It is what her life's main purpose is, and whatever people may call her or think of her, it is what she would do. For the rest of her life, all the way through, for his happiness, she will give up all she had ever had â for him; Tere Liye.
