Chapter 9

Twinkle decided to take a seat next to Kunj's bed.

None of them said anything.There was this awkwardness between them. It was weird because 2 minutes back they were hugging each other and cherishing the moment and now they aren't even looking into each other.

While twinkle chose to stare at the floor,kunj looked at twinkle.

She had become even more beautiful in these years. There was a mature look on her face. He noticed her apparence and mentally smiled when he saw twinkle wearing a blue suit,she still remembers my favourite colour,thought Kunj.

He noticed that twinkle hadn't worn her mangalsutra and sindoor which broke him.He was shattered to see that twinkle had removed all their nishaanis.

He had tears in his eyes,he wanted to ask her why didn't she wear it? Did she forget him so soon? But he chose to stay mum,he didn't blame her,he chose to stay dead in the eyes of his family,twinkle had all the rights to move on.

Twinkle had noticed him staring at her and she knew that her not wearing her sindoor and mangalsutra must have broken him down. She was so angry at herself.

Building up some courage,kunj began,
"Um kaisi ho tum?"

At that moment twinkle finally looked up and their eyes met,it was their eyes which spoke the truth,how much they had missed each other and craved for each other.It was twinkle's eyes that screamed how miserable she was without him.

Twinkle - "Mein theekh Hun"

Kunj nodded.

Kunj had so many questions,how her life was? what did she do all these years,did she have a boyfriend?

Wait what,it had been 5 years I'm sure she might have a boyfriend,thought Kunj. What about yuvi? Where was he? And Anita Aunty? I didn't see her with surjeet tauji.

There were so many questions going on in his head,he didn't know where to start from.
He didn't wanna ask questions which made twinkle upset.

He couldn't see her sad but he wanted to know where yuvi was.

Kunj - "Twinkle,um yuvi?"

Twinkle understood Kunj's point of view. He needed to make sure that yuvi wasn't around.

Twinkle - "Yuvi jaa chuka hai."

Kunj didn't have to know more. The fact that yuvi had left was more than enough for him.he didn't need the details.

Meanwhile outside the room

Pallavi - "Dekhiye mein samajh sakti Hun ki aapke dil mein iss waqt kya chal raha hai lekin pls sambhaliye aapne aap ko. Kunj physically theekh ho chuka hai lekin woh abhi Bhi mentally weak hai. Iss waqt uska Khush rehna zaroori hai aur uski khushi app log hon. Please usse normally treat kijiye Aur Haan jitna ho sake utna unke past ka topic avoid kare."

Surjeet - "Ji doctor aap bilkul chinta mat kijiye hum Kunj putar ko Khush rakhenge"

Pallavi smiled.

Leela - "Putar,hum Kunj ko ghar kab lekar jaa sakte hai?"

Pallavi saw a hint of hope in everyone's eyes. She couldn't disappoint them.

Pallavi - "Aap usse Kal subha lekar jaa sakte hai."

Leela - "Ji shukriya Doctor."

Bebe - "Wahe guruji ka lakh lakh shukar hai ki ab Sab theekh hai,kyun Usha rani?"

Usha - "Haan Bebe,aap bilkul sahi keh rahe ho."

Bebe - "Chalo ab hum sab ghar chalte hai,tayari Bhi Toh karni hai na,Kal Kunj Jo Wapas aa raha hai."

In the room.
Pallavi enters,

"Hi Kunj,ab kaisa lag raha hai?"

Kunj while looking at twinkle,
"Aisa lag raha hai Jaise mujhe meri dhakhane Wapas mil gayi ho."

Pallavi noticed this and smiled.

Pallavi - "Chalo Acchi baat hai"

Pallavi - "Twinkle,meri tumhari family se baat ho gayi hai,Kal Tum Kunj ko ghar le Kar jaa sakte ho"

Twinkle - "Thank you Pallavi."

Pallavi - "Arre isme thank you ki kya baat hai?"

Twinkle - "Nahi Pallavi,Jo tumne Kunj ke liye kiya hai uska ehsaan mein zindagi Bhar nahi bhulungi. Thank you so much."

Kunj smiled,the genuineness in her tone would always make him fall in love with her more and more.

Kunj was so happy,his twinkle was with him,what else did he want from life? He promised himself that he would make it up to her for being away from her for so long,tomorrow will be a new beginning for them.

Whereas twinkle was broken,kunj was in that state all because of her.she had started to believe that she was actually a curse and a bad luck for Kunj. She couldn't hurt Kunj anymore,he deserved happiness. She had decided,she would slowly drift apart from him after making sure that he's alright.

Both of them had different agenda's in mind forgetting that God had a different plan for them altogether,tomorrow was indeed a new beginning.
