Chapter 8
5 years ago when Kunj was shot and he had drowned in the sea,he was thrown out of the sea by the strong waves after about 8 hours.
He was found unconscious and broken by a young couple who had come for a walk early morning as usual at the sea. Seeing that he still had a little life left in Him,he was rushed to the hospital where Dr.pallavi Gupta was appointed to take charge of his case.
Due to the bullets shots and drowning in the sea,kunj had sustained a lot of internal and external injuries. He had suffered broken ribs,a lot of internal bleeding,a fractured leg and a major hit on his head. His face was covered with scratches.
after about 7 hours of fighting for his life,kunj had finally woken up only to sleep again. A sleep which lasted for 5 years. He was awake for about 15 minutes before he went into a deep sleep where he requested Pallavi not to tell about his state to his family members since they won't be able to handle it,he asked her to just check on twinkle once.
Pallavi reassured him that he will be okay soon for which kunj had replied saying
Kunj - "Jaanta Hun,meri siyaapa queen mujhe kuch nahi hone degi.Woh aapne Babaji ko tab tak pareshaan karegi jab tak mein usse nahi milta."
Pallavi didn't lose hope even after kunj had slipped into Coma. She didn't know why but she felt she had a connection with kunj. She wanted to help him.
After 2 years,Pallavi shifted kunj back to Amritsar's hospital where she took care of him 24/7. She didn't leave his side even for once.
Nothing had improved until about 6 months back,on a Monday night as usual Pallavi had come to see kunj where she sat beside him and started browsing through channels. As she turned the channels,what she saw left her very surprised. The news was of twinkle.
According to the news,twinkle had cracked the biggest deal of the year and for which she was being felicitated.
Hearing her name made kunj stir until he got up and screamed for her.He was shocked to see Pallavi by his side and as for Pallavi,no one was more happier than her. They had decided that they will make sure that kunj is fine to do and then only they will tell his family.
In those 6 months,kunj had told Pallavi about his life. His equation with his family,his Bebe,his mother in law,his tashan e shaadi which ultimately turned into tashan e ishq and the journey that followed and yuvi and his mother's evil intentions. He told her how much he loved twinkle and all the moments they had spend together.
Talking about those moments was like a remedy for him and before they knew it he was alright.
That's when Pallavi contacted twinkle and here they were standing outside the room supporting each other and thanking the almighty for the miracle.
Usha while crying - "Kya? Mere bete ne itna kuch Saha hai.mera kunj itna dard mein tha aur mein kuch Kar Bhi nahi payi.sharam aati hai mujhe aapne aap par,mein kabhi Ek Acchi maa nahi banpayi."
Bebe - "Na Usha rani na aise ro mat. Sambhal aapne aap ko,agar tu aise kunj se milegi Toh usse kinna bura lagega."
All this while twinkle stood at the corner like a statue. She didn't cry,she stood there lifeless.
Suddenly a nurse came up to Pallavi and,
Nurse - "Doctor Mr.Kunj uth chuke hai."
Hearing this all the family members composed themselves and wiped away their tears.
Pallavi walked up to twinkle.
Pallavi - "Jao twinkle jaake usse mil lo."
Twinkle took extremely tiny seats,she couldn't move forward,she was Kunj's criminal. She was sure kunj wouldn't even wanna see her face since she did all this to him.
Taking a deep breath in,she opened the door slightly. Kunj wasn't able to see her
Kunj - "Arre Pallavi tum Toh keh rahi thi ki tum mere liye surprise layi ho,kahan hai surprise?"
Hearing his voice,twinkle couldn't control herself anymore so she just launched her herself at kunj and hugged her tight.
Kunj was shocked,it took him a few minutes to register what was happening. He couldn't believe his eyes,his love,his twinkle was hugging him. It all felt like a beautiful dream and he just wished that if it was then he didn't wanna wake up.
He realized he didn't hug her back until twinkle squeezed and pushed herself more into him. Kunj hugged her tighter and buried his face in her hair. It was good to be back home. He could hear her sniffs which meant that she was crying. He slowly loosened his grip and caught her face inbetween his hands and wiped away her tears. He then moved on to place a small peck on her forehead. They then came closer and their heads touched each other's.
This moment was witnessed by all the family members. They were so happy to see them together. They felt proud of their children,they had been through so much. They silently thanked God before they
walked up to kunj.
One by one all of them came forward to hug him.
Usha - "Kunj,kunj Tu theekh Toh hai na"
Kunj - "Haan maa mein bilkul theekh Hun aap chinta kyu kar rahi ho"
Manohar - "Kunj,maa hain woh tumhari chinta Toh hogi na"
Bebe - "Kunj putar mein tujhse Bohot Naraz Hun
Kunj - Kyun? Kya mein jaan sakta Hun ki meri babe mujhe Naraz kyu hain?"
Leela - "Naraz Toh hogi na,putar tune Pallavi ko humme kyu nahi batane diya ki Tu Zinda hai?
Kunj - "Maa mein nahi chahta tha ki aap log tension lo"
Cherry - "Oho kunj Tu Toh na good for nothing hi hai by God,arre Bhai Hum Teri family hai,pura haq banta hai humara jaane ka ki tu thik hai ke nahi."
Kunj while holding his ears,
"Accha baba sorry,aisi galti dobara nahi hogi."
Suddenly His eyes fell on mahi.
Kunj - "Arre mahi,Tum yahan? Tum London say kab aayi? Kaisi ho Tum?"
Mahi - "Hi jiju,mein bilkul theekh Hun,mein Toh yahan 5 saal pehle hi aagai thi,aap kaise ho?"
Kunj - "Bhai mein Toh humesha ki tarah hot Hun"
Stated kunj which made everyone laugh.
All this while,twinkle kept quiet and continuously looked at kunj lovingly.
How proud she was of her man. It had been 5 years but still this man had the charm to make everyone laugh in such serious times.
Sensing her twinkle's gaze on Kunj,mahi continued,
"Chaliye na hum Sab bahar chalte hai,twinkle di aap yahan kunj jiju ke saath baithiye."
Twinkle nodded.
Soon one by one everyone left leaving the love birds alone.
