Chapter five: What the hell?
I swallowed.
I did not want to make eye contact with him and see his victorious smirk.
God!? Why, oh why, Didn't you stop me that day?
Now I have to pay the price.
Payback is such a bitchy bitch.
And to get it from this Richie Rich.
Wow! It rhymes too!!
" See, you are on the last stage of imbecility. Like right on the edge . You go about slapping billionaires. You are ranting random stupid things to yourself instead of focusing on the grave situation. I don't know how you can be so idiotic?"
"Shut up!!! You and I are the same person", I said blocking out my conscience once again. Taking a deep breath , I finally met his eyes, with full defiance.
If he thinks , using his money and his position now, he can get me to apologise, he is in for another shock!!!
He was amused, I can see as he raised one of his eyebrows.
What is so amusing anyways?
"Same person??", the girl beside me asked.
My eyes widened. Oh fish!! Did I say it loud?
God ? You there? Looks like the network connection between us is very, very very very slow!
It is so embarrassing.
They must be thinking I am a crazy dog lady who talks to herself.
Wow Twinkle!! Way to improve your image.
I just looked down, my cheeks flaming.
" Sis? Can you please leave Miss Taneja and me alone for a while?"
Sis?
As in sister?
Oh that's why she looked familiar.
She was his sister.
" Umm...err...", his sister hesitated, flicking her eyes to me , where I was silently begging her not to leave me alone with this man.
God knows what he would do.
"You are not afraid of what he might do! You are afraid of what YOU might do! See! Alone in a room with such close proximity and all!!"
Ah! There my friends! The devil's advocate, my conscience is back.
" Umm.. Okay!", she said quickly.Glancing up, I saw Kunj's stern gaze on her.
Quickly picking up some files from her station, she left , closing the door behind her.
Nooo!!!
Now I am in a room with a locked door with him?
I gulped once again.
" Please take a seat, Miss Taneja ."he gestured towards a chair.
I wish I could have said some witty comeback telling him to go dry hump his chair, but I had already angered him enough, plus I couldn't force any words out of my mouth.
So I quietly and meekly sat on the chair offered.
He started rummaging through his files. I just hope he doesn't shout on me too much. I made a mistake. Though I wouldn't apologise to him for it, I would work my ass off to redeem myself.
I would be an obedient honest employee.
If only he gave me a chance.
" Here is your appointment letter", he said handing me the letter.

I screamed like a banshee , like literally.
" What the f**k? Are you trying to burst my eardrums?"
" What the bloody hell!!! What is this??, I shouted standing up.
" Can't you read? It's your appointment letter.", he said in a 'duh' tone , a smug look on his face.
You know what!! I think I amuse and entertain him way too much.
" Yes I can!! But it is a bloody letter for the bloody post of PA!! I am a general manager. You cant demote me for a personal issue! You are being unprofessional. The hell I would take this post! I am way much qualified. I have an engineer's degree from MIT for God's sake. No way am i going to settle for less. I resign."
Taking the appointment letter, I shredded and tore it into small pieces and threw it in his face , pieces of paper flying and landing on his hair or clothes.
Turning confidently, I began strutting towards the door.
There! In your Bloody Devilishly Handsome Face! Ha!
I was already halfway through to the door when something he said made me stop in my tracks.
" You don't know me well, Twinkle. I would make sure no one in this world employs you. And I know you need money, in fact immediately for the secret person you have hidden so long."
How did he know about that?
