Part 2
"I wish Maami had told me his first name," Twinkle bites her lip. "There's no problem,"
"Oh"okay, you just seemed really surprised," Kunj mentions.
Twinkle swallows back. "I was surprised, my Maami had, uh, mentioned something about the Sarna Group of Industries,"
"Oh? What'd she mention?" Kunj asks, a corner of his mouth rising in a curved smile.
"I don't really remember," Twinkle admits. "I just vaguely remember hearing the name Sarna Group of Industries,"
Kunj just looked at her and smiled again. "Okay,"
The rest of the flight passes by with them just talking and discussing favourites and just life in general. Who knew that one long plane ride, could lead you to a new relationship so quickly.
At London Airport
"So thanks Kunj," Twinkle says, trying to keep one hand on her suitcase, while putting the other one out for a handshake, with her huge tote bag on one shoulder.
Finally Kunj just leaned over and gave her a small hug from one side. "Thanks for what?" Kunj asked as he let go.
Twinkle shrugs. "For making this entire flight so enjoyable,"
Kunj smiles. "Then I should thank-you too," He holds up her card as he turns to leave. "I'll email you soon,"
Twinkle just smiles, and shakes her head as he walks away. "I can't believe myself. Getting so comfortable with such a stranger," Twinkle slowly makes her way outside and hails a taxi.
The whole taxi ride up to her Maami's house, she keeps re-living the whole conversation with Kunj in the plane, not knowing that on the other side of the city, he was doing the same thing.
"No, you don't understand. I've never seen anyone like her before," Kunj said into his cell phone on his way to the hotel.
"Are you already in love?" The person on the other end asks.
"I can't be...not in 8 hours!" Kunj argues. "Besides, it's futile to think about it. She's getting engaged sometime soon,"
"Man, that's a bummer."
"Believe me, I know. What could possibly be worse? Finding the one girl that I'm actually interested in; or learning that she's about to be engaged." Kunj sighs.
"Engaged right? We can do something about that," The person says on the other hand.
"No"no. She's making her choice for her little sister; I don't want to intrude in her life. Besides, I only have her email address." Kunj closes his eyes. "She gave me her card, but it doesn't even have a number written on it. I wish I had realized sooner."
"God Kunj. Could you be""
"Any stupider? Yeah"I know. Anyways I'll stop boring you with this stuff; I'll be at the hotel in a bit." Kunj sighs.
"Yeah"and you better get ready quickly when you get here. Ladki dekhne jaana hai, mere liye!" The guy on the other side laughs.
"Yeah"yeah." Kunj shakes his head and ends the call. "Tere liye to ladki dekh lenge Manmeet. Lekin mera kya hoga?" He mumbles to himself looking out the window.
At Maami's
"Arrey Twinkle." Pinni Maami pulls her into a hug. "You've gotten so big in the last 5 years!"
"Thanks Maami, you still look just as young," Twinkle smiles as she takes in all the people staring at her from the kitchen.
Pinni Maami pats her cheek. "You always know just what to say,"
Twinkle forces a fake smile on her face. "What am I doing here? I can't go through with this. Do I even know these people? And they're all staring at me... and just ugh, I can't go through with this!"
"Twinkle, your room is upstairs and first door on the left, you can make yourself comfortable. Chinky will be up in a few minutes." Maami tells her.
"Chinky? Maami"who is Chinky?" Twinkle asked quietly.
"Chinky beta! The girl who is here to help you get ready for tonight," Her Maami smiles at her.
"Tonight? What's tonight?" Twinkle asks.
"Oh my god Twinkle. Tumhe toh kuch bhi yaad nahi rehta. Tonight's when the boy's side is going to come see you! Actually it's only the two cousins. Manmeet and Kunj Sarna." Her Maami smiles as she ushers her up the stairs.
"Kunj?" Twinkle mumbles as she takes the steps slowly. "Kunj...? The same Kunj Sarna I met on the plane?" Twinkle couldn't stop the huge smile from forming on her face. Little did she know that by tonight, everything was going to change...and drastically.
Shorter than the last one I know.😳 But still eventful! I'll try to continue the next part soon!😃 I got so happy for some reason that i decided to post it even though i wasnt done writing. 😆
