let us talk about characters here.
Swara:
the one thing that truly set the girl apart and made her who she is.. is her selflessness.
i could despair at times at her utter and total selflessness even for those who are most undeserving but that is who she is.
and so lacking in self respect when it comes to her loved ones.
she didn't even let her self respect come in between her fight for her love.
she loves unconditionally, truly and with her whole heart.
a truly selfless soul.
she had her own faults but being blind to the pain of her loved ones or ignoring their hurt is NOT one of them. or not standing by their side when they NEED her the most.
now who is this Swara?
Sanskaar:
the one thing that truly set this man apart and made him who he is... never ever played any victim card.
gave no excuses, no justifications, no 'woe be me', no nothing.
give it back as you get. or walk the hell away.
the man i know would have invested with single minded approach in finding laksh and then throwing the guy on the faces of that no-good family.. and then walked away without backward glance.
he always respected himself enough to not settle for anything less than what he deserves.
he was someone who closed his doors firmly on Swara when she merely mistrusted him.
now she walked all over his heart and soul and he is...
his love is boundless, limitless and intense. So is his strength and belief in himself.
who is this Sanskaar?
Ragini:
the one thing that truly set this girl apart and made her who she is... her total devotion for her Laksh.
call is obsession, twisted love, need or anything but for her laksh was the centre of her universe; others merely meteorite dust.
when she gets to know about Laksh's death the ragini i know would have died of broken heart or burnt the world down.
and this one thinks about going on sacrificing mode for Swara no less. yeah right!
who is this Ragini?
Laksh:
barring few occasional flashes of brilliance this guy has been loser throughout. so looks like his recent losergiri hasn't effected anyone in anyways. bless his soul the only consistent character of this show.
so what has this track delivered?
taking away the ONLY thing that defined the characters of WHO they are.
Swara and her selflessness.
Sanskaar and his strength.
Ragini and her absolute need for Laksh.
since we don't really care for R and L let us skip them.
talking about Swara and Sanskaar.
yes both are human. both are allowed to be egoistical, irrational, idiotic, stubborn, flawed. you can be at your ugliest best with you loved ones. that's because you know they love you and will accept you.
but how much is too much?
how far is too far?
when push came to shove Sanskaar was not the one who gave up on his Swara.
Swara was the one who simply walked out on him despite his pleadings, threats and wishes.
and with conditions that she will be back when he rights the wrongs. Ragini gets back her love. conditions and conditions.
saying me or world is not condition.. it is expectation that the answer would be ... always YOU.
saying my sister, her husband and then only you... that is one bizzare condition. i could have accepted 'you rejected me and hence i am hurt attitude' of Swara. but i am walking out till my sister's world gets back to happy mode; so what if your own world is turned upside down... i just can't.
what kind of love lets the loved one ripped into pieces, burn slowly in deepest pits of hell and disintegrate right in front of yours eyes and do NOTHING about it till your conditions are met?
that's not ego, flaws or being human.
that is being heartless.
Swara for all her flaws and faults always stood by those by needed her. her priorities may have been messed up but her love for Sanskaar was not.
but now...
you loving me is meaningless if you refuse to hold me when i NEED YOU the most.
if you can't stand by my side in my darkness i don't want you when light dawns.
may be i am being too demanding, too negative, too hard to please, too this and that..
that's because maybe i loved too much.
i loved Swara and Sanskaar too much to accept them when the only thing that made them who they are is taken away from them.
the love, the pure, divine, cosmic, soul connect of a love is reduced to conditions.
yes we care about characters.
because for us it is the characters who made this beautiful story ... magical fairy tale.
warna gopi bahu too is having her love story.
Perfectly flawed characters called Swara and Sanskaar.
so pardon us if we can't row happily in SwaSan ship no matter how intense and beautiful the scenes are if we are supposed to shut down our senses and sing kumbaya when confronted with cold hard fact that one half of this beautiful ship... Swa is mercilessly butchered.
and other half San is merely a palest version of his former self.
i for one will not and will never question those who are enjoying this track.
but i will stand by those who are not. because we care too damn much. not saying the ones who don't hold the same opinions as mine do not care. i really don't believe in judging. but our expectations, needs and wants from our ship are different. maybe because our love is different.
maybe we are different.
