|- PART TWO -|
Sanskar came back and said, "Let's go". Swara agreed to him and they both left library. They walked out of college silently without talking anything to each other. Breaking the silence, Swara said, "Okay then, I will leave for home now... Bye". Sanskar nodded his head in approval.
It was almost half an hour since Swara was waiting for Auto but to her fortune or misfortune, no Auto passed nearby. She was getting irritated with each passing second. She was looking at her watch continuously as it was getting late. She again started looking for Auto when her attention was caught by a car which stopped in front of her. Ignoring the car, she again continued her search for the auto. The glass of window slowly slides down revealing Sanskar sitting in driver's seat. He asked her, "Should I drop you somewhere?" looking here and there on that quiet road.
Swara denied him saying, "No it's ok... I will manage". Swara wasn't sure about taking lift from Sanskar.
"Tumhe yaha par auto iss time par nahi milenge... Come I will drop you." Sanskar insisted her because he knew she would not get any auto at that time there. Swara looked around and sat in Sanskar's car finding no way of other transportation..
"Thanks", she said expressing her gratitude to him.
Ignoring what she said with his eyes focussed ahead, he muttered, "Seatbelt"
"Huh?" she asked confusingly.
"I said wear your seatbelt", he said staring at the car steering. Swara adjusted her seatbelt properly and Sanskar drove the car. He asked her about her place, "Where do you live?"
"House no 11..." Sanskar nodded in approval. They were sitting in car in absolute silence. Sanskar switched on the music player noticing Swara's restlessness by sitting in silence. ...
Tera mujhse Hai pehle ka naata koi
Yuhi nahi dil lubhata koi
Jaane tu Yaa Jaane na
Maane tu Yaa Maane na...
As the lines of song hit Swara's ears, her face instantly turned towards Sanskar staring him with wide eyes. But she didn't say anything as she wanted to enjoy the song.
Dhuaa Dhuaa tha wo sama
Yaha Waha jaane kaha
Tu Aur Mai Kahi mile the pehle
Dekha tujhe to dil ne kaha
Jaane tu Yaa Jaane na
Maane tu Yaa Maane Na
Tera mujhse Hai pehle ka naata koi
Yuhi nahi dil lubhata koi
Jaane tu Yaa Jaane na
Maane tu Yaa Maane na...
"You like old songs?... I too love them... especially this one... it's my favourite one", Swara said amusingly getting to know Mr Akdu had some normal likings too. Sanskar slightly nodded his head in approval. He applied breaks causing car to stop. Swara stared at him questioningly raising her eyebrows at him.
"Tumhara ghar aagya", he said with his eyes still not moving from steering.
Swara looked outside of car to find her home. She was slightly embarrassed realising the fact that she was so lost with him that she didn't even realise when they reached her home. But she didn't come out of car. Sanskar glanced at her to find she was sitting there normally.
"I said tumhara ghar aagya!" he said a bit loudly giving weird looks to her.
Swara turned her face towards him. "Accha? Ohh... tumne mujhse kaha? Mujhe to laga tum steering se baat kar rahe the".
Sanskar glared at her and laughed at her antics but soon revert back to his usual stern expression. Getting out of the car, she walked towards her home. She stopped in middle and came back to him.
"Smile more often...acche dikhte ho", she left making a statement with a sweet smile, to him. Sanskar was staring at her retreating back. She opened her door and smiled turning back at him once before getting inside.
Sanskar closed his eyelids, and their encounters so far flashed in front of his eyes... their first meet, her smiling face, when she hugged him, her words "Smile more often", her smile when she was going.
He opened his eyes with a jerk. His eyes were bloodshot red filling anger in them. He started the car, applying the gears in aggression and drove back to his home with making visible his anger and frustration by speed of his car. Parking his car, he entered inside his home and threw his jacket on the couch nearby.
Caretaker of his home came in the hall by sensing Sanskar had come. He asked him with a worried expression seeing his mood, "Sanskar beta, kya hua?"
"Kuch nahi kaka", Sanskar said pretending to be calm passing a fake forced smile towards him. Kaka nodded his head knowing Sanskar anyway wouldn't tell him. So he left the matter without dragging it much and said, "Accha, aap fresh ho jao, mai dinner laga deta hu".
"Umm, nahi kaka, dinner rehne dijiye, mujhe bhook nahi hai", and he left without turning back to him.
Kaka nodded his head helplessly. This was Sanskar's usual routine. He always skipped his food when he was angry or upset.
AT NIGHT:
Swara was sitting on the dining table serving dinner for her and Khushi. Swara's parents used to live in Delhi but they owned a home in Mumbai too. Swara was living in her home only. Khushi was her friend who too was studying in Mumbai and Swara offered her to live with her as she was living all alone in a big home.
"So how was your first day in new college?" Khushi asked Swara while serving Dal for herself.
"Ahhh... That was ok ok... on the very first day of my college I met a weirdest guy on this planet and to my more bad luck he is assigned as my partner for assignment and project", Swara answered while munching her food. Khushi let out a chuckle hearing her answer.
"Accha, Handsome hai kya?" Khushi asked her raising her eyebrows naughtily.
Swara acted like thinking and asked, "Haan hai, bol teri date fix karau uske sath?"
Khushi nodded her head upside down in excitement and bend down in front of her by joining her hands together saying, "Haan please". Swara was laughing by then at Khushi's antics.
Swara stopped laughing remembering Sanskar. Khushi asked noticing lost Swara, "Kya hua?"
Getting up from the chair, Swara replied her, "Pata nahi yar, he is really different, I mean he doesn't even talk properly, he is rude and whatever encounters we have shared till now, on basis of them... logically I should dislike him strongly, but I am not able to do that".
She turned her eyes towards Khushi with sheer confusion filled in them.
"I am not getting you, what exactly you are trying to say?" Khushi put forth her question towards Swara knowing it was not the only matter.
Swara sighed and continued, "I myself don't know but there is something for sure. Every time I look into his eyes, I see pain. I see him struggling with himself. His eyes reflect his sufferings. I don't know why but his pain is hurting me. I feel he is not as he presents himself. "
Khushi walked towards Swara and kept her hand on Swara's shoulder assuring her with her eyes saying, "I guess you are over thinking. I mean it was your first day in the college and you met him first time today. Maybe he is an introvert one, not interacting much with others type. You just relax and don't think much about him, okay?"
Swara was still not convinced. She was sure there was some strong reason behind his behaviour and rudeness. She nodded her head giving a forced smile to Khushi not wanting to stress her with this.
WITH SANSKAR:
Sanskar was in his room letting out his all frustration on his favourite spot... his punching bag. Don't from how long, he was punching and punching to release his anger. Anger boiling through his eyes was clearly visible through his intensity of releasing his anger over the punching bag. He again remembered his flashes with Swara and he threw the punching bag away hitting it more hard. Sweat was dripping from his face. He was breathing heavily after a long and intense exhausted session with punching bag.
He picked up the water bottle from the table and taking a sip from it, he threw the bottle with so much force that it directly collided with the wall at front. Sanskar was a difficult person to understand. He never let his emotions to overpower him showing what he actually feels to anyone.
"Nahi nahi nahi... I won't repeat my mistakes again, never", he shouted hard throwing all the things on table all over the room. "Tum koi alag nahi ho, tum bhi usi ki jaisi ho, you all are bloody damn same, selfish and mean", he screamed and punched his hand hard on the mirror causing it to break in pieces. His hand started bleeding due to the broken glass pieces pierced into his hand but he cared about that least that time.
"Sanskar, tumhe to chot lag gayi, aao mai dressing kar deta hu", said kaka who came hearing the noises. Sanskar said while leaving the room, "Nahi kaka, I am fine, mai khud kar lunga". He walked towards his room and closed the door behind.
He went towards the table and picked up the first aid box from the drawer. Sitting on the bed, he started bandaging to his hand. He was used to bandage his wounds on his own.
