In the recent episodes I liked Lakshya (Far more than I usually would have, blinded by my Mr. Toad vision of him) in his title as Sanskar's brother. This guy really was there for his heartbroken bro, although he himself did not know what to do, to bring him some peace, at least he was there, every time Sanskar needed someone in his corner.
It is very sweet to have my thoughts reflected in another's writing, especially yours, who I have come to know share a heavy dose of similarities in tastes with me and is an exceptionally great writer as well...it sort of reassures you that you've not been the only one in the universe to feel something, the thought is quite thrilling.
So coming back to brothers, and their bond explained here. Lakshya is feeling rather put off at the beginning that his co-conspirator from childhood, sketched this big a plan but did not share it with him. In equal measure he is awed at Ragini's very much active intelligence that put to light the secrets his genius brother had been hiding. He is kind of cute there, accepting that he and his wife did a bit of detective work which had always been his cousin and his wife's forte and found out all about Sanskar / Kissan double life.
I'm sure Ragini guessed the truth some minutes in to it, with a canny brain like hers, and the obvious closeness she had to Sanskar's way of plotting, it's not that hard. What I liked here was Lakshya giving out his side of story and waiting his brother to share his secret, with no force from his side...that's very unheard of when it comes to Lakshya right?
He certainly has grown up quite a bit and is less annoying now. Truly, he has the potential of becoming a very reliable Lakshman to his brother.
Talking of Sanskar, as you said, every concept of fiction leaves me in awe at the intensity this man can feel...in any emotion to be honest. His love is, as you said, all consuming. He gives everything to any aspect he is expected to engage in. It's very, moving and at the same time adorable.
Lakshya is surely awed, he asks, more like muses out loud, how can he bear so much pain, as to have her and lose her at the same time, be near and far at the same time...it really must be driving Sanskar nuts right?
Then comes my favorite part. The Agyaan Vaas. For a sure Mahabarata craze like me, this is sure thing like sugar to an ant, calling me out. What a theory...I'm in awe now. It really is a sort of test to the character, where you can have what you want, but not in the way you want it. And you explained it so well. So Sanskar thinks, being Kissan and staying close to Swara see her smile, is his Agyaan Vaas, that was so...heart wrenching. I wonder perhaps he thinks it is his punishment for not saving her at the cliff all those days ago? And he has accepted it, like he always does with so much resolve and strength to hold on to in the maddening double edge this situation has. It's so...so..poignant! Only Sanskar and your writing would make me feel this.
Dare I imagine that this Agyaan vaas also might end in a war...presumably between Sanskar and Mr. Wood? Who most probably is now trying to unmask Kissan as Duryadana wanted to unmask the pandawas?
I think I have typed an easy almost in my crazy love for this one. Should stop now. Love you so much for the sheer brilliance you portray every time while penning something.
Loads of love,
Saku
PS: I think it was this Mahabharata analogy you wanted to talk about with me?
