Chapter - 2
"Swara, a unique name, means tones." Staring at antique ceiling fan, his thoughts broached over the meeting he'd with her. Sweet, charming, beautiful, loving and delicate.
Shaking his head at the direction of thoughts, he slept off.
Smiling at the dainty figure standing in front, his lips curved up reminiscing about that day when'd slept thinking about her.
"So for which job, Ms Bose is here?" He questioned slyly, sitting beside her at the steps, where they'd met a week ago.
Her heavy lashes pulled up, ungaurding the beautiful dark grey orbs buried in the book lying on her lap, peeking through the heavy rimmed glasses.
"No promotions, still doing my driving job!" she replied with a slight wink. Removing the weight of her nose, she kept the book back in her black stylish bag. Preparing herself for a brief talk, her legs shifted slightly due to sitting in one position for too long, putting her chin on the fist, her elbow had managed on her knee she questioned frowning.
"Mr. Fighter Bunks classes too?"
Sanskaar nodded nonchalant, but frown deep within.
"But I've a free class, as for now."
Her brows furrowed deeper, but her information from her friend says that it's an important class, can't be neglected.
"I thought it's an important class, that's why Niya made me wait!" She accused at no one in particular, but the one who deserves is sitting in her class.
"Niya is attending an important class, we've only one subject in common." Replying the doubts, he sprawled a little getting more comfortable.
Except an Oh! Nothing much remain for her to say. A biting silence fell over the two, say something, both thrown the same look at each other.
"Btw, where Ms chauffeur is driving her master?" He cranked his neck left to right, so wanna take cushion of her shoulder. Get a grip! His conscience chided his sane self.
"For shopping." Reply with utter nonchalance, her shoulder thumped down. An irresistible pout formed of her soft petals.
"Hey, I thought girls are shopping maniac." He stated as a matter of fact, stretching his body a little.
"Not everyone." She proudly declared as if winning something, making him chuckle at her straight posture.
"Family friends? You and Niya?" Questioning to continue the conversation that had halted abruptly, he shifted a bit closer. A flicker of uneasiness passed through those orbs, or he hallucinated.
"Nah, Distant cousins." She dismissed the further chances of elaborate her family background. Observing the disinterested expression, she isn't going to explain the distant concept, he assumed.
"Disturbed?" His concerned yet sober tone, snapped her out of her deep thought her mind had went into. Shaking her head in clear denial, albeit a small smile tugged at her lips.
"So, are you and Laksha are real siblings?" She questioned completely turning to him, gazing his side profile.
"Nah, Distant cousins." His sarcastic voice pulled out the confusion on her exquisite features.
"Copycat!" Punching his left arm, she accused playfully. Rubbing his arm vigorously, he cried out.
"Ouch! It hurts you thick head!" Worry erupted in her humorous stance and rolling his sleeve up, she tried to locate any injury which might have resulted this unexpected reaction.
Pressing his lips, he tried to suppress the bubbling laughter. Sweat beads rolled her forehead, thinking maybe it'd hurt him to extract such cry. But when the beautiful worried orbs met the mesmerized one, she snapped up.
"You scared me! You fool!" Dubbing her forehead with the back of her palm, she sulked pressing her back at the step behind.
Laughter, edginess, frustration, anger, anything he'd expected the next moment, but certainly not this intense reaction.
Sliding a hand around her waist, a lot of hesitation could be felt in his gesture, he held her against him, probably waiting for a push. When only her head thumped over his shoulder, he'd calmed a bit to speak out.
"That was just a prank, dear."
Humming along the slightest caressing on her soft lustrous long cascading curls, her palm reached upto her left side of chest. Seems like calming the throbbing organ against her ribcage.
"A week ago, we were playing in the garden, unintenstionally I'd injured her badly." She justified about her obnoxious reaction to his harmless prank.
"We?" He questioned the first thing he caught in her sentence.
"My family." She answered monotonously, her eyes carrying a the same distant look.
"Her?" His grip tightened around her petite torso, watching the look of fear passing through those otherwise twinkling orbs.
"Rag..." Her sentence left hanging in mid air, as she found Niya throwing suspicious looks towards her and Sanskar. Detaching herself from the getting familiar warmth of his, she seemed amalgam of surprise and shocked.
Scratching her neck, embarrassed with her own foreign behavior, her feet carried her to place where Niya is standing. The sly smirk dancing on latter's face conveyed about the teasing she's going to be subjected. Rolling her eyes at the dramatic friend, she dragged her towards the parking lot.
His features danced with mirth, watching the confident, bold Swara, being all shy and timid the way, Niya was poking her finger in her waist, giving him known looks.
Laksha's brow shot up watching his brother grinning idiotically towards the entrance, on a close watch the object of attraction of his brother came in his view. But nevertheless, he'd got a good... Scratch that... An awesome reason to bug his brother. Sankar, You're a goner!
"The view was tempting. Wasn't it?" Laksha slowly settled beside him, and feigning flirtation slyly teased him.
"What?" Wiping that grin off, Sanskar gained a reign over his bubbling excitement and got quizzical with an senseless interruption.
"Swara, Isn't she's is looking..." And words stuck in his throat, getting murderous glares by his brother. A moment later, laksha was laughing his head off, entertained by Sanskar's looks thrown on him.
"Laksha!" Sternly his heavy voice boomed in the eardrums, silently conveying him to back off even before he'd started.
Rounding his arm on Sanskar's neck, they jointly walked by the campus door up to the parking.
Settling themselves inside the posh car, Laksha turned the ignition on. Pulling the posh Mercedes Benz on the main road, Laksha uttered the same thing he'd been chanting since that incident.
"My heart is dead Bhai." After a few moments, he added carefully.
"Don't feel insecure. Btw, I won't mind taking chance with Swar..."
"Lucky!" And bouts of laughter resonated in the confines of the car.
