Firstly, I am seriously annoyed with myself 😡. I so wanted to comment properly after and on each chapter and had made a decent start but madness currently reigns in my life and I had actually totally forgotten that this was a SS and would be over wayyy too soon 😭. So hopefully you'll forgive me and take this overall comment too, without being too annoyed! 😳
I so did not want this to finish so quick!!! It's like a bit of a whammy! I so got the feels you get from a well made Karan Johar type film- and I mean this in the sense of the flow of the romance, the sweet moments, the "stress" when you feel the golden couple might lose out on their happy ever after due to their own silliness, but knowing deep down that wont- ahhh all of it! And it came with all the sweet things of the best weddings- cute moments, nok jhok, dances,- what a package 👏👏
I so so knew the "kissing couple" confusion was about Lakshya- Ragini! Poor Adarsh 😆. Sanskaar jumped to the totally wrong conclusion but I could see our Laxman not being into Bhabhi ji at all!! And I promise I'm not saying this just because I know how it turned out. That and the bit about the "Varmaala"- I knew the correct groom would be garlanded by Swara! 😃😳
I loved Sanskaar's descriptions of his ideal woman- the time to his brothers and then later when he described Swara's perfection to Lakshya too - the gesture that finally won him the girl in the real sense. There was throughout that palpable sense of simmering tension and each of the festivities only underlining to us all and subconsciously to SwaSan too that they were the ones that should be getting married. The haldi scene for example was so nicely done. I also loved how Sanskaar held back, and Swara waited for him to make the move but he thought he already had and she didn't respond so ofc he backed off . It was like- God, lock these two in and throw the key away 😆.
Shekhar was simply lmao hilarious!!! 😆 His stupid cheesy lines and his whole boastful ways and over smart attitude, all countered so perfectly by our Mr Smooth made really good reading. The last chapter especially was sterling for that and for the humour and tenderness mix of the proposal.
Liked positive Ragini and despite me always having had minimum interest in RagYa- I do feel they match in the show and in FFs so it was nice to see them get together in such a nice and uncomplicated way (well except for their near miss too! 😆) but you know what I mean?!
All through the brotherly teasing was fab!! 👏
And SwaSan of course- so sweet and yet meaningful in the important ways. Their growing feelings, the way Swara particularly came to her realisation and then both of them doing the wrong thing in the quest for the right thing but as they say- all's well that ends well and this certainly ended excellently!
Really enjoyed it Sapu. I wasn't sure it wouldn't get all suspenseful but you were true to your word and delivered a delightful romcom, with love, comedy, fun and oodles of romance! Thank you!
