Chapter- 18
Ragini and Lakshya have now finally reached Bangkok. The flight has landed but Ragini is still sleeping. Lakshya thinks of waking her up but then he gets mesmerised to see her sleeping face. A smile immediately comes to his face.
Lakshya- My sleeping beauty!
Lakshya (in mind)- What the f**k! I called her "my" sleeping beauty? What's wrong with me? I'm suffering from some very dangerous disease for sure. I need to visit the doctor ASAP!
Suddenly, an air hostess comes.
Air hostess- Sir, we've reached Bangkok. Could you please get down? Our staff needs to clean the interior of the flight.
Lakshya- Yes, I'm...I'm really sorry. We're getting down. Please give us a minute.
Air hostess- Sure, sir!
Lakshya then tries to wake Ragini up.
Lakshya- Ragini! Ragini, wake up! We're in Bangkok.
Ragini immediately wakes up.
Ragini- Have we reached?
Lakshya- Yeah, approximately 10 minutes ago!
Ragini- I'm sorry, I slept.
Lakshya- No problems, let's get down now.
Ragini and Lakshya get down from the flight. They take a cab and reach a nearby hotel.
Receptionist- Sir, are you guys married?
Lakshya- Yeah!
Receptionist- Do you guys need a single bedded room or a double bedded room?
Lakshya looks at Ragini who keeps looking down out of embarrassment. He understands that she might feel uncomfortable to sleep on the same bed with him.
Lakshya- We need a double bedded...
Ragini- A single bedded room! Book a single bedded room for us.
Lakshya looks at Ragini shockingly and Ragini also looks at him.
Lakshya (by eyes)- Single bedded room? Are you sure?
Ragini (by eyes)- Yes, of course! We are husband and wife after all.
Lakshya (to the receptionist)- Okay, give us a single bedded room.
Receptionist- Sure, sir!
Ragini and Lakshya walk to their room. After entering, Lakshya jumps on his bed.
Lakshya- Ufff! I'm as tired as shit. I've no energy left at all. Good night, Ragini. I'm gonna sleep now.
Ragini- But Lakshya, you haven't even taken bath after such a long trip!
Lakshya- I'm not in a condition to take bath now. I'm very tired. You go get fresh and I'm sleeping. Good night.
Ragini holds Lakshya's hand and keeps pulling him from the bed to send him to the bathroom.
Ragini- Come on! Get up, Lakshya!
Lakshya (sarcastically)- Ohoho, my supergirl is now trying to pull her superman! OMG, so strong you are, my supergirl! Do you drink some kind of energy drink or something? You're so strong. You're pulling me so effortlessly and I'm being pulled so easily!
Ragini- Shut up and get up!
Lakshya- You decide first, shall I shut up or shall I get up?
Ragini- Uhhh! Lakshya!
Lakshya- Apply all the strength that you have but you can't even move me an inch, Ragini. Now let me show you my strength, the strength of a man!
With this, Lakshya pulls Ragini a little hard and with just a single pull, she falls on top of him. Lakshya smiles and tugs her lose hair behind her earlobe.
Ragini (nervously)- Lak...Lakshya, what...what are you doing?
Lakshya (sarcastically)- What? I just showed you how strong I am! You had been pulling me with all your strength yet you couldn't make me move an inch. And look, I just pulled you once and you're on top of me!
Ragini- Lak...Lakshya, let...let me go! I...I need to freshen up.
Lakshya- This line doesn't suit our position!
Ragini (confused)- What?
Lakshya- Wait, let me explain!
Lakshya turns around placing Ragini on the bed and he himself gets on top of her. Ragini gets really scared and nervous now. Lakshya understands this and thinks of teasing her a little more.
Lakshya- The line you just said "Lakshya, let me go" suits this position better! When you were on top of me, I should've been the one to say those lines.
Ragini- Lakshya, let...let...let me go, please!
Lakshya- You know, I feel like a rapist when you say that. Am I raping you or something?
Ragini gets embarrassed to hear this.
Ragini (little angry)- Lakshya!
Lakshya- Okay baba, I'm sorry. But you know, I love teasing you. I love it when you're completely under my control.
With this, Lakshya gets up and goes to take bath. Ragini also gets up.
Ragini (to herself)- Mr. Lakshya Maheshwari, you love playing with my hormones, right? Fine! I should get a chance too, then. Both the players should be given equal chances. I'll tell you how to play this game! Get ready for the real face off, my dear husband!
Ragini smirks evilly. After a while, Lakshya comes out of the bathroom and goes to sleep. Ragini then goes to take bath. After a few minutes, she also comes out wearing nothing but a sexy netted negligee. She sprays a little perfume on her body and walks to Lakshya seductively. She slowly and smoothly whispers to Lakshya's ears.
Ragini (whispers)- Lakshya! Lakshya, get up!
Lakshya (with half opened eyes and a sleepy voice)- What now, Ragini? Let me sleep and you also go to sleep. Good night.
Ragini (whispers)- Lakshya, have a look at me once!
Lakshya slowly opens his eyes and on seeing Ragini in a negligee, his eyes literally come out of his eyeballs. He stands up and keeps staring at her without even blinking his eyes once.
Lakshya- Ra...Ra...Ragini, you...is...is this really you?
Ragini sensually and seductively puts her finger on Lakshya's lips.
Ragini (whispers)- Sshhh! Don't talk too much, baby!
Ragini seductively pushes Lakshya back on the bed and she herself gets on top on him. Lakshya gets nervous as shit. His face gets all wet with sweat. He gulps down a pulp of saliva out of nervousness.
Lakshya (whispers)- Rag...
Ragini again puts her finger on his lips.
Ragini (whispers)- Ssshhh! Didn't I ask you to keep quiet? Let me play my game now!
Lakshya (nervously whispers)- Wha...What game?
Ragini (whispers and winks)- The hormonal game! The game that you often play with me. Why should boys have all the fun?
Lakshya was slowly losing control over himsef and his hormones. Ragini could sense that.
Lakshya (whispers)- Ra...Ragini, get...get off me or...or I might end up going something...something that we both shall regret tomorrow morning!
Ragini (whispers)- Does that even matter? We're married, honey!
Lakshya (whispers)- Ragini, I'm telling you, you're seducing me!
Ragini (whispers)- No, not so fast! There's much more to be done. We gotta get equal, right?
Ragini seductively opens the buttons of Lakshya's shirt and plants a soft kiss on his bare chest.
Lakshya- Ragini, just stop it! I'm losing control.
Ragini looks at Lakshya and let's out an evil smirk.
Ragini (whispers)- Oh, my poor hubby! So fast? A little more left!
Ragini then seductively slips down the strip of her negligee. Lakshya shouts this time.
Lakshya (shouts)- Don't! Don't, don't, don't! Don't do this, Ragini. I'm...I'm losing control on myself. I might end up doing something really wrong. So just stop it.
Ragini pulls back the strip of her negligee and starts laughing. She gets up from the bed and stands.
Ragini (sarcastically)- So, Mr. Lakshya Maheshwari, who wins and who loses the "hormonal game"? Who beats whom?
Ragini sees a swollen 'thing' (if you know what I mean lol) beneath Lakshya's abs. Lakshya feels embarrassed and immediately tries to set up his boxers so as to hide the 'thing'.
Ragini (laughing very badly)- Oh, and I'm so sorry for this! (points towards the swollen 'thing' lol)
Ragini laughs and runs inside the bathroom to change. Lakshya keeps banging the bathroom door angrily.
Lakshya (angrily shouts)- You...You can't do this to me, Ragini.
Ragini also replies from inside the bathroom.
Ragini- I did it to you, Lakshya!
Lakshya- Uhhh! I hate you!
Ragini- Awww, I love you too! Mwaaahhh!
Lakshya (shouts)- Uhhh! Good night.
Ragini laughs.
Ragini- Good night.
Lakshya goes to sleep angrily. After a while, Ragini comes out and sees Lakshya sleeping. At first, she laughs but then she kisses his forehead, puts a blanket over him and goes to sleep near him. Next morning, Ragini gets shocked to see that Lakshya is missing. She searches the whole room but doesn't find him anywhere. She gets tensed and runs downstairs to the receptionist. She had little tear drops in her eyes.
Ragini (to the receptionist)- Ex...Excuse me! Have...have you seen...my...my husband?
Receptionist- No ma'am, I haven't seen him anywhere.
Ragini starts crying now.
Ragini- Where's he? Lakshya, where...where are you? Where have you gone?
Receptionist- Don't worry, ma'am! He must be here somewhere.
Ragini- I hope you're right. Please...Please inform the cops if he doesn't return by the next hour!
Suddenly, a voice comes from behind. It was Lakshya.
Lakshya- Ragini, what are you doing here?
Ragini turns around to see Lakshya. She immediately runs to him, hugs him tightly and starts crying vigorously. Lakshya gets confused but he hugs her back.
Lakshya- What's wrong, Ragini? Why're you crying? Is everything okay? Are you okay?
Ragini (crying)- Lak...Lakshya, I'm...I'm sorry. I made you angry last night and...and I thought...
Lakshya- And you thought I left you and ran away?
Ragini doesn't respond. She simply keeps crying.
Lakshya breaks the hug. He holds her chin and makes her look at him, right into his eyes.
Lakshya- Ragini, nothing in this world can make me leave you. Yes, I was angry but never ever think that I'll leave you alone. Even if I wish to leave you, I cannot!
Ragini- Why so?
Lakshya- There are no answer to some questions!
Lakshya was about to go when Ragini holds his hand.
Ragini- Say it, Lakshya!
Lakshya turns to face her.
Lakshya- Okay, I didn't want to say this but...but since few days, I'm having this feeling that...that...
Ragini- That...?
Lakshya sighs.
Lakshya- That...that I'm habituated to you and...and I can't live without you now!
Ragini (with teary eyes)-So...So does that mean that...that you love me?
Lakshya- Haa? Love? No, I don't...Umm, I mean I...don't love you yet but...but I'm just...just habituated to you. I mean I'm...I'm used to...to you being around me. You...You understand what I said, right?
Ragini- Umm, yeah!
Ragini and Lakshya both walk back to their room avoiding each other's eyes. After a while, Lakshya finally breaks the silence.
Lakshya- Ragini, this is so boring, right? We're on a vacation and doing nothing! We should've been enjoying our honeymoon outdoors.
Ragini- What do you wanna do?
Lakshya- Let's go to the beach, what say?
Ragini- Yes, great idea! Let's go.
Ragini wears one of her usual heavy sarees and Lakshya wears casual clothes. On seeing Ragini, Lakshya gets shocked.
Lakshya- OMG! Ragini, we're going to a beach. Not a wedding or something.
Ragini- Lakshya, not again! If you want me to go with you in this saree then fine, let's go and if not then you may go alone. Have fun!
Lakshya- Fine, fine, fine! Let's go.
Lakshya and Ragini reach the beach where they see people wearing only their swimming costumes and nothing. While these things were nothing new to Lakshya, to Ragini, this was something unacceptable. Lakshya could sense this.
Lakshya- Feeling awkward?
Ragini- Hmm, kind of!
Lakshya- It's okay! Do one thing, you love me, right?
Ragini- Yeah, so?
Lakshya- So, just keep staring at me and you won't even come to know when the day ends!
Ragini (sarcastically)- HAHAHA, very funny!
Lakshya- No seriously, it works!
Ragini- And how do you know that? I never knew you loved someone!
Lakshya- My friends used to say this. Though I've never experienced it.
Ragini- No thanks! You want me to keep staring at you all the time so you can flirt around and I won't come to know as I'll be lost in your eyes, right?
Lakshya laughs at this.
Lakshya- What? You're mad.
Ragini- Huh, same to you!
Ragini then starts playing with the water like a kid.
Lakshya- Ragini, don't go too close to the water. You might slip!
Ragini- Nothing will happen, Lakshya!
Lakshya- I'm telling you, Ragini. Stay away from the water or you might...
And Ragini slips but luckily, Lakshya reaches in time and saves her. He gets very angry.
Lakshya (angrily)- Why are you so stubborn, ha? I told you not to go too close to the water. I told you to stay away from it. Why the f**k don't you ever listen to me? You're not a kid. Why do you behave like one then?
Ragini gets scared to see his anger.
Ragini (scared)- La...Lakshya, I was just...
Lakshya- Shut up, okay? Just shut up!
Ragini starts crying and Lakshya sees this. He feels guilty and holds his ears.
Lakshya- Accha baba, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have shouted at you. But I just got scared.
Ragini doesn't respond. Lakshya sees a gol gappa stall near the beach which reminds him of the past time when Ragini ate more than 50 gol gappas and he had to wait for her for about half an hour! He laughs a little.
Lakshya- Accha, come with me! Let's eat gol gappa.
Ragini wipes her tears.
Ragini (with a fake anger)- I don't like gol gappas!
Lakshya gets a plan.
Lakshya- Accha? Okay, you stay here. I'll just be back.
Ragini- Where are you going?
Lakshya- To eat gol gappa!
Ragini- But last time you said you don't like gol gappas!
Lakshya- And last time you said you love gol gappas!
Ragini makes a puppy face.
Ragini (with a puppy face)- I still love gol gappas!
Lakshya laughs on seeing the innocence on her face. He pulls her cheek like a kid. Ragini starts rubbing her cheek.
Ragini (with a puppy face)- Ouch! It hurts.
Lakshya- But I love it.
Ragini- And I love you.
Ragini leans forward and kisses Lakshya on his cheek making him blush really bad.
Lakshya- Ragini, people are watching us!
Ragini- So? Who cares? You're my husband! I have the right to kiss you. You're my property, after all.
Lakshya- Accha? Wait then!
Lakshya goes to a foreigner girl and starts flirting with her. Ragini was fuming and Lakshya could see it from the corner of his eyes. This made him laugh.
Lakshya (forwarding his hand to the girl)- Hey beautiful, may I have the honour of knowing your name?
The girl (shaking hands)- Oh yes, sure. Hi, I'm Stella!
Lakshya kisses her hand and Ragini fumes even more.
Lakshya- I must say, you're beautiful.
Stella- Thank you so much. You're handsome as well.
Before Lakshya could say anything, Ragini arrives.
Ragini (to the girl)- And he's my husband so you better not flirt with him or I shall pluck away your eyes! Am I clear enough?
Lakshya turns his face to the other side and keeps laughing silently at this.
Stella (to Lakshya)- Hey, who's this? Is she your wife?
Lakshya- Haa? My wife? No, I'm unmarried.
Lakshya (to Ragini)- Excuse me, who're you? Do I know you?
This time, Ragini gets very angry. She looks here and there and sees a man standing alone near the bar. She walks to him while Lakshya keeps wondering where she's going.
Ragini (to the man)- Hey!
The man- Hi!
Ragini- I'm Ragini, may I know your name?
Lakshya fumes to see all this. Stella keeps talking to him but he's too much distracted to pay attention to her bullshit.
The man- Joseph! You're alone here?
Ragini looks at Lakshya angrily and then back at the man.
Ragini- Yes, I'm alone.
The man- But you have that vermilion on your scalp! As far as I'm concerned, in India, only married women put that thing.
Ragini- I'm a divorcee!
Lakshya couldn't bear anymore. He walks to Ragini angrily, holds her wrist and drags her away from the man.
Lakshya (angrily)- What was all that? What the f**k were you doing?
Ragini- What? I did what you did. I didn't do nothing else.
Lakshya- You said you're a divorcee!
Ragini- And you said you're unmarried. Both have almost the same meaning.
Lakshya- You know it very well that I hate it when you talk with other men!
Ragini- And you know that I love you so you should've known that I wouldn't like your closeness with other women as well.
Lakshya- I was just trying to make you feel jealous!
Ragini- So was I!
Lakshya freezes for a second.
Lakshya (in mind)- Wait, making me jealous? And I got jealous? What? Why would I get jealous? Why did I get so angry just now? Why did I pull her away from that man? What the f**k is wrong with me? I was never like this! I was never so protective even of my girlfriends. Then why Ragini?
Ragini then jerks him up.
Ragini- Lakshya, what happened?
Lakshya- Noth...nothing! Come, let's eat gol gappa.
Lakshya and Ragini walk to the gol gappa stall. Ragini keeps eating gol gappas while Lakshya keeps staring and smiling at her like an idiot.
