Chapter- 17
We can see that its around 12 in the afternoon and Lakshya is still sleeping. Ragini is preparing the lunch when suddenly Nano enters the kitchen.
Nano- Ragini beta, where's Lucky?
Ragini- Naani maa, he's sleeping.
Nano- What? He's still sleeping? It's afternoon now!
Ragini- He slept late last night, Naani maa.
Nano- Ufff! Wake him up, Ragini. He's as lazy as hell. And I gotta tell you both something so come to my room with him ASAP.
Ragini- What is it, Naani maa?
Nano- Come with him to my room. I'll tell you then.
With this, Nano goes to her room and Ragini walks to her room to wake Lakshya up. Upon entering, she sees him sleeping with his mouth open, like a kid. Ragini laughs on seeing him in such a state. She sits near him, keeps staring and smiling at him like an idiot for a few minutes. She brings her lips close to his lips and as soon as her lips were about to touch his lips, Lakshya opens his eyes. He gets shocked but remains still, like a statue with wide open eyes. Without realising that her husband is now awake, Ragini kisses him on his lips. Lakshya doesn't kiss her back but he also doesn't stop her. He was simply not in a condition to stop her. He went numb after that.
Lakshya (shocked and nervous)- Ra...Ra...Ragini? You...you just ki...kissed me on my...on my lips.
Ragini too feels embarrassed.
Ragini (in mind)- Oh shit, he's awake! What shall I say now?
Ragini- Ummm I...I was...I was just trying to...trying to wake you up.
Saying this, Ragini turns around giving her back to Lakshya. Lakshya immediately gets up from his bed. He stands behind her and keeps tracing her waist lightly with just one finger. He brings his lips near Ragini's ears.
Lakshya (whispers sensually)- Is this the way you wake someone up? By kissing him? Why don't you simply admit that you just couldn't resist kissing me?
Ragini starts breathing heavily. Lakshya senses this and smirks.
Ragini (whispers)- Lakshya, let...Let me go!
Ragini was about to go but Lakshya pulls her close. Her back hits his chest.
Lakshya (whispers sensually)- Blushing? My dear wife, let me tell you this, you're quite a good kisser.
Lakshya keeps nibbling Ragini's neck sensually with his nose. Ragini was slowly losing control on her body.
Ragini (whispers)- Lakshhhya! You're...you're getting me...getting me...
Lakshya smirks.
Lakshya (whispers)- Getting you what, Ragini?
Ragini (whispers)- Getting me...
Lakshya (whispers)- Yes Ragini, say it! I'm getting you what?
Ragini (whispers)- Ex...Excited!
Lakshya smirks again.
Lakshya (whispers)- I know that, my dear wife! And I love it when my closeness affects you and your hormones. I win!
Ragini feels embarrassed and a little angry. She turns around to face Lakshya. She keeps both her hands on her hips angrily.
Ragini- My dear husband, we shall see who wins this time! Let's see who affects whom. Tonight, you'll experience your worst nightmare.
Ragini stamps her foot like a stubborn kid and walks out. Lakshya laughs at her childishness. After a few seconds, she comes back.
Ragini- Oh wait Mr. Maheshwari, I forgot to tell you! Naani maa wants to see us ASAP so come fast.
Ragini was about to go when Lakshya stops her.
Lakshya- Hey, wait!
Ragini looks at him and he makes a puppy face.
Lakshya (with a puppy face)- Wifey, won't you take my clothes out? And my coffee, won't you get me that? You don't love me, right? Yes, I know that. My wife doesn't love me. Guddi doesn't love Lakshya.
Lakshya emotionally blackmails Ragini with a puppy face. Ragini melts down and starts laughing. She comes close to him and pulls his cheek.
Lakshya- Ouch! It hurts. Don't do that. I'm not a kid.
Ragini- But you're like a kid. And Guddi loves Lakshya a lot. Though she knows Lakshya doesn't love her.
Ragini then starts doing all her wife duties and Lakshya keeps staring at her.
Lakshya (in mind)- So pure her love is! She knows I don't love her yet she loves me like anything. I seriously can't imagine my life without her now. She has become a part of me in these 5 months.
He starts smiling. After a few minutes, both RagLak walk to Nano's room together.
Lakshya- Nano, did you call us here?
Nano- Yes Lucky, take this!
Nano hands over a packet to Lakshya.
Lakshya- What's this, Nano?
Nano- See for yourself.
Lakshya opens the packet and sees two tickets for a honeymoon trip to Bangkok in the name of Mr. and Mrs. Lakshya Maheshwari. Ragini and Lakshya look at each other shocked and then back at Nano.
Lakshya- Nano, what's this? Tickets?
Nano- Yes, honeymoon tickets for you and Ragini to Bangkok. You said you'll go.
Lakshya- Yes Nano, but so soon? Dad is still in Switzerland. How can we go now?
Nano- I don't know. You guys are going for a honeymoon trip today itself. That's it!
Ragini- Okay Naani maa, as you say.
Nano- Ragini beta, I need to talk to you in private.
Nano and Ragini look at Lakshya. Lakshya understands that they're signaling him to leave.
Lakshya- Not fair, Nano! Got your grand daughter in law and forgot your grandson? Not fair! Accha, I'm going. Love you!
Nano- Love you more, Lucky!
Lakshya kisses Nano's forehead and leaves.
Nano (To Ragini)- Ragini?
Ragini- Yes, Naani maa?
Nano- Will you give me something if I ask you for that?
Ragini holds Nano's hand.
Ragini- Of course, Naani maa! You don't have to ask, just order and it'll be ready for you.
Nano- Promise me, you won't say no for the thing I'm gonna ask for now.
Ragini- What do you want, Naani maa?
Nano- Promise first!
Ragini- Okay I promise, I'll give you what you're gonna ask for!
Nano- Give this house a baby!
Ragini gets shocked and leaves Nano's hand.
Ragini- What? Naani maa, I...I can't...
This time Nano holds her hands.
Nano- See Ragini, I know you're not ready for a child now. But try to understand, I'm getting old day by day. I don't wanna die before seeing my great grandson. Please, bring the good news this time when you come back to India. Please, I'm begging you!
Ragini- Naani maa, I...I can't do this...I'm not...
Nano- Please Ragini, think about me for once!
Ragini sighs.
Ragini- Fine, I'll do it.
Nano- Promise me you'll bring the good news when you return to India.
Ragini- I can't promise you that I'll bring the good news when I return but I promise you that I'll give it a try!
Nano- Thank you, Ragini beta. Thank you so much.
Nano hugs Ragini and Ragini remains still, thinking about Lakshya's probable reaction on hearing this. After a while, Ragini walks to her room and sees Lakshya packing his stuff for the trip.
Lakshya- Hey Ragini, I need your help! Pack my things, please.
Ragini was lost in her own world so she doesn't pay any attention to Lakshya. Nano's words keep echoing in her mind. Lakshya could sense that she was a little tensed. He comes close to her and pats her shoulder. Ragini then comes back to present.
Lakshya- What happened? Are you okay? You look tensed.
Ragini- Ummm no, I'm fine.
Lakshya- Sure?
Ragini- Yeah!
Lakshya- What did Nano say to you?
Ragini (in mind)- Shall I tell him? No, this is not the right time.
Ragini- Ummm nothing! Just household stuff.
Lakshya- Okay! Ragini, please pack my luggage.
Ragini- Okay.
Ragini starts packing Lakshya's luggage and her luggage as well. When it is done, RagLak walks downstairs. They take blessings from Nano.
Nano (to Ragini)- Ragini beta, you remember your promise, right?
Ragini (nervously)- Yes, Naani maa!
Lakshya- What promise, Ragini?
Ragini- Ummm Naani...Naani maa made me promise that...that I'll take care of you.
Lakshya- Oh!
Lakshya (to Nano)- Don't worry, Nano! I'll be fine. You take care of yourself, okay? Love you.
Nano- Love you too, Lucky.
Ragini and Lakshya head towards the airport. Lakshya could sense that Ragini was a little tensed but he knew Ragini wouldn't tell him now so he decides to ask her about it once they teach Bangkok. After entering the flight, Ragini's fear and tension increases. As the flight starts to take off, Ragini hugs Lakshya very tightly burying her face into his chest and tugs her nails into his back. Lakshya hugs her back. He was a little concerned about her.
Lakshya- Are you okay, Ragini? Don't worry, I'm here. I won't let anything happen to you. We'll be in Bangkok in a few hours.
Ragini- I'm scared, Lakshya. This is my first flight trip. I've never travelled in a flight before.
Lakshya- Everything has a first time, Ragini. Don't worry, you'll be used to it very soon. Do one thing, close your eyes and go to sleep. I'll wake you up when we reach Bangkok, okay?
Ragini- Okay, thanks Lakshya! I love you.
Lakshya blushes. Ragini hugs him even more tighter and closes her eyes. After a while, she falls asleep in Lakshya's arms.
