Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda celebrate their first major award win together

Rising stars Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, fresh from their successful debut in Saiyaara, have won the CNN-News18 Indian of the Year 2025 Gen Z Icon Award. This is their first major jury-based recognition, highlighting their growing influence and strong connection with younger audiences. He went on to acknowledge the film’s team. “Mohit Suri, you have given me life. Shanoo Sharma, you believed in me even though there were so many naysayers. Aditya Chopra, sir, you have given me this whole platform… the whole team of Saiyaara. The film crew, thank you for your hard work. It wouldn’t have been possible without you. All love here, always. The press, the audience. This means the world, thank you,” he added.

Ahaan’s mention of naysayers resonated with fans. He also revealed the challenges behind his debut, including the decision to stay with Yash Raj Films despite delays and hurdles. Shanoo Sharma confirmed that his perseverance helped both his career and the banner recover from a difficult phase.

Directed by Mohit Suri, Saiyaara released in theatres on July 18. The film, featuring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda in lead roles, has seen significant success since its release, establishing the two actors as rising stars in Bollywood.
