Part 9:

Ragini walked off and went to her drove off, she was thinking why Laksh why are you here now, why are you trying to come in to my life again, just go away and live our life and let me live by myself in my small world I have created for myself. Don't stay here and waste your time as well as mine. There is no point in us keeping in contact or talking when will you understand that.

Ragini walked in saw Angel in the living room she had a smile on her face. She went to Angel hugged her and twirled her around. Both were acting like kids, Nandini came and them both and started laughing at their behaviour.

Nandini: Ragini you and Angel you both are the kids of the house, when you both are here the house is full of laughter, jokes and lively.

Jaya: I agree Nandini you are right both of them are kids and include Rohan they are too much 4

Ragini: see Angel some people are jealous of because we are young and know have to have fun

Angel: agree didi, we have fun these old boring people both laughed out loud

Ragini: Angel we need to show them how to have some fun

Angel: yes but they don't want to have fun they are busy cooking, cleaning, working, going mandir etc

Nandini: Angel you little girl, you talk about your mum and dadi like that that is not good

Jaya: I know Nandini these 2 have no respect for us, we will not talk to them lets go, they both walked off in fake anger

Ragini and Angel knew they were faking the anger, they both went behind Jaya and Nandini, followed the around for about 5 minutes. Then Ragini hugged Jaya and Angel hugged Nandini, they all started laughing

Ragini: Mum I respect, care, love and admire you the most don't ever saying anything like that again and she hugged Jaya closer and was getting emotional

Angel: Mum I love you, you are the best mum

Jaya: I know Ragini and you know I was joking you are the best daughter you make us all laugh and bring joy to our lives without little Angel

Nandini: agree mom they are the light of this house, if they are not home this house is not the same, we are lucky to have you both in our lives

Rohan: so what's going on here, seems like everyone is having fun and that too without me, not good

Angel: Uncle we were missing you, good you are here now and smiles at Rohan and runs to him

Rohan: picks Angel up and says, Angel you are the best at least someone misses, look at them all they don't miss me or care for me makes a sad face

Jaya: Rohan stop your dram okay it doesn't suit you

Nandini: Rohan stop being such a drama queen, we were saying how you 3 make us all laugh and smile

Rohan: I know Bhabhi we are the best right girls he hi fives with Ragini and kisses Angel on her cheek

Rahul: Angel all the love for your uncle what about dad, Angel looks at Rahul and smiles and gets out of Rohan's hold and runs to her dad

Angel: dad you are the best and kiss his cheeks

Rohan: cheater I kissed you and you go and kiss your dad, okay no more chocolates or ice creams for you okay bye he starts to walk towards the stairs

Ragini: Rohan stop with your fake anger we all know you too well, actually we all know you better than you know yourself okay

Rohan looks back and just looks at them.

Rohan: of course miss know it all, so what happened today you left early everything okay?

Ragini: yes everything is fine thank you for your concern, now I am going to and freshen up, after that how about we all watch a film on TV okay

Angel: yay that will be nice and we will have ice cream, it will be nice uncle

Rohan: yes it will but none of the romantic films ok something funny, or cartoon

Nandini: of a kid always wants to watch cartoon you and Angel are kids right laughs

Jaya: Rohan when will you grow up and act mature?

Rohan: never mum, its nice being a kid, keeps you happy and carefree

Rahul: so you don't want to get married, have a family or be responsible

Rohan: married no way bhaiya see what happened to you, Bhabhi controls you and I am not going to let anyone control me.

Nandini: runs after him, Rohan I control you brother do I? She continues running after.

Rohan: yes Bhabhi look at him before marriage bhaiya was young, fun and carefree look at him now always work, home, home work. He doesn't have time for fun or friend laugh

Nandini: Rohan wait till you get married, I will see what happens to you

Rohan; sorry Bhabhi you won't see anything because I am not getting married, runs to his room

Laksh walks into the house AP sees him, she can tell he is tensed, she walks over to him and puts her hand on his shoulder.

AP: what happened? Laksh is everything okay, you look tensed?

Laksh: nothing mum just tired, he walks up to his room.

AP comes to his room, with coffee and sits beside him. Laksh is looking at Ragini's photo.

AP: coffee, looks like you need it. Did you go to meet Ragini?

Laksh: nods his head indicating yes.

AP: what happened? Did she talk to you? is she alright?

Laksh: she spoke but she still hate me mum and she doesn't want my help, I want to help her mum, I know how much I hurt her, I don't know what to do mum, how do I make her listen to me mum? What do I do?

AP: Laksh you have hurt he in such a way that it will be hard for her to talk to you openly, she needs time no woman will be happy to see the guy who destroyed her life you did Laksh no woman.

Laksh: I know mum, I have hurt her beyond anything but I want to help her now mum, I know my mistake, what I did was horrible but she is living a half cut life, she needs to talk about what I did then she can move on in life, I know she is happy, she has a new family new life but the past still haunts her mum. I do not want her to be scared and dead from within.

AP: what are you saying Laksh? What did Ragini say to you?

Laksh: she said that I killed her, she is dead inside and that she will never let anyone come close to her ever again, mum when I try to hold her hand she filnched mum, because of what I did she cannot come close to anyone, she will never let anyone touch her. she is getting help mum but the doctor said if she doesn't deal with past she will not be able to move on full in life, mum why did I do that to her, why did I hurt her mum, I was so blind, stupid and didn't see anything beyond revenge, I ruined her life. Why am I still alive, I shouldn't be alive mum I don't deserve to be alive mum, she cries AP hugs him. She knows that what he did he regrets it but she cannot blame Ragini for ignoring him she being a woman knows how Ragini must be feel.

Laksh: what do I do mum, how do I make Ragini listen to me? I want Ragini to live again? I want her to be happy? I want her to have her family, the love she always wanted?

AP: Laksh give her time and she might talk to you, people say that time heals let's hope that is the case with Ragini

Laksh: if it doesn't then? Is Ragini going to have to live the life she is living now? That is no way to live mum

AP: I know Laksh let's wait and see what the future holds.

AP walks off thinking about both Ragini and Laksh, how both are living their lives, none of them are happy, they are with their families but they are not with their , they both work and live for their families, but she hopes and prayers they both get happiness back in their lives. They are both hurting but she feels helpless. She cannot pardon Laksh for what he did to Ragini and she doesn't hold a grudge against Ragini either, in facts she wished she could have stopped what Laksh did to Ragini if only she knew at the time.

Laksh sits on his bed holding Ragini's photo, thinking about their times together from the first time he meet her to the last time she walked out of the house. How he broke the engagement first time because of his freedom, then how again he got engaged because he was being selfish and he wanted his brother to get well. He was using her because his brother needed her, if only he didn't use her ut asked her nicely she would have helped him. How he tricked her saying her loved her because he was thinking about his family and their reputation, if only he thought about only one then he wouldn't be here in this situation in the first place.

All his life he has been nave, silly and foolish, never thinking about the consequences of his actions now that he realised her, he is trying hard to keep his head on his shoulders but seems like he is failing. No matter how much he tries he feels like he will never succeed.

Ragini was in her room, lying on bed reading a file. Jaya comes in give her some milk to drink before going to sleep.

Jaya: Ragini drink this and sleep enough of working okay, you need to rest and take care of yourself

Ragini: mum you are here to take care of me so I don't need to worry smiles

Jaya: I will always be here for you Ragini no matter what, do you want to say anything to me?

Ragini: what do you mean mum?

Jaya: Rohan said you left early, did you go anywhere important?

Ragini: no mum it was not important, I went to meet my ex-husband Mr Laksh Maheswari. Jaya was surprised she knew Laksh was Ragini's husband, Ragnini told the family what happened and how Laksh treated her.

Jaya: what really? Are you okay? What did he want?

Ragini: don't worry mum its okay, I am fine nothing he wanted to talk about our past he wants to help me get rid of my fear, of not being able to get close to anyone. But I told him I don't need his help, I am fine I have a loving and caring family that's all I need.

Jaya: okay if you are sure, now drink the milk and sleep it's an order. Jaya walked out and she was worried for Ragini but she didn't want to ask Ragini too mau wuestions and make her uncomfortable Ragini told them when they meet first time and she understood her feeling. But she wished there was a way to help Ragini.

Flashback

Ragini was in the living room and everyone was there except Angel, Ragini didn't want Angel to hear what she was about to tell the family.

Ragini: I have to tell you all something very important relating to my past, I am grateful for everything you guys have done and will always and forever be indebted to you all.

Rahul bhaiya for making me come here and give me such wonderful family. Nandini Bhabhi for being an older sister I never had, who trust me and supports me. Simi for being the best I never had. Rohan for being mu supports and friend. Mom and dad for being the guidance for helping me and supporting me with mu decisions. Angel who is the angel of my life for giving me this life, if I didn't meet her the way I don't know what would have happened to me, she was and is my guardian angel I didn't want her here because I don't want her to know about my bitter past.

Jaya: Ragini beta if you are not ready to talk about your past its okay we understand we will not force you, we will wait till you are ready.

Ragini: no mum I am ready and I have to tell you all if I don't I don't think I can be in peace I have waited long enough. She took a deep breath and wanted to tell them about her past. They she told them about how she got engaged twice, then did those horrible things, got married, hoe her husband used her etc. she was crying at the end.

Jaya came and hugged her, she said you are not alone and you have us your family and we will always be there for you not matter what happens, they all came and hugged her. Angel came out of her room and joined the family hug. Ragini felt better lighter after telling them the truth.

Flashback ends

Jaya was worried she walked in her room, Ram was there he saw her tensed and asked what happened.

Jaya: Ragini went to see her ex -husband and she is pretending to be fine but I know she is not

Ram: don't worry we are all here with her and we will support her no matter what

Jaya: I know but I don't want Ragini to go back to the beginning she has made some progress into getting back to normal I am worried if she talks to him she back go back 10 steps I don't want that

Ram: no don't worry Ragini is in a much better place now and she will be fine, I think she needs to talk to him and get over her past, if she just denies and never talks about the past she will never be able to move on fully in life

Jaya: yes you are right but I just don't want to see her get hurt again she has been though a lot in her life at such young age

Ram: I know but what we can do, god gives us pain but only the amount we can take

Jaya: yes that's true, we will have to keep an eye on her from now on

Ram: we will, don't worry now go to sleep goodnight.

Jaya: goodnight.
