Kash we are fortunate to watch a well written story like this onscreen.
It is superb Viji. The characterization is flawless . I loved your Annapurna more than any other character. And the debacle of Ragini is narrated in an impressive manner .πŸ‘

Realisation of the sacrifices asked from the father and son by the family... And the amount of sacrifices done by them... πŸ‘ πŸ‘

Ragini... 😑 ... She deserved what she got... So that was great too...

Finally the cutest couple on earth... 😳 ... Swasan... OMG... There please no overdue honeymoon and the scene was everything they are.. Cuteness, love, romantic... Just awesome... πŸ‘ πŸ‘ ... Wonderfully written... The Disneyland part was so cute.. πŸ˜† πŸ˜† ... And Sanskaar as usual was naughty... Loved it..

It's ended... Waiting for more of ur stories... πŸ˜ƒ πŸ˜ƒ ... Thank you for such a masterpiece ... πŸ‘

Hey Dear...πŸ€— πŸ€—

Thanks so much for your lovely words. I am so very happy that you liked this concluding chapter, as well as the entire OS series.

I wanted to show Annapurna as having that depth to her character, that resilience. She realizes in the end, that she has shut her eyes from the truth for so long; and the amount of sacrifices both Ram Prasad and Sanskaar have done for the family.

Ragini in this series was beyond redemption. At least for the foreseeable future. So she got her just desserts---she was thrown out, along with her manipulative, odious Dadi!

Maui really is one of the paradises on Earth. Poor SwaSan deserve their long overdue honeymoon! 😳 ☺️ Swara is innocent enough to want to click some selfies in Disneyland with Bambi, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. πŸ˜† But Sanskaar, naughty, flirty, romantic Sanskaar, has a better idea of how to spend a honeymoon. πŸ˜‰ And he convinces his eager wifey anyway!

Thanks again for all the lovely words, I shall write an OS next, just need a break of a few days first. 😊 In the meantime, you could read my previous completed SwaSan works in my index, if interested & when time permits. Link is on my siggy, at the bottom of my posts.

Love,

----Viji

Really liked this Annapurna. Like the cool & calm way in which she dealt with Ragini & Daadi. How typical of Ragini to not let go even after everything has failed. You got to admire that about her. She just will not accept defeat. The sheer audacity to remind DP of his vowsπŸ˜†πŸ‘ And the man reveals how shallow he is once again when it is his wife who needs to call out Ragini on this latest BS & ask her to STFU!πŸ‘ AP toh chaa gayi iss update meinπŸ‘ Those lines on love by AP to Ragini were some really powerful onesπŸ‘

I wonder if we will ever get the Swara which all the FF writers in this forum write about. If I get even a poor copy of that Swara on the show I would be more than happy. Loved how she answered back to Ragini & her constant calming support of Sanskaar was great to read about. Ragini can never really harm SwaSan as long as they have one another.

Sanskaar isnt much in this part but we get to see him as others see him & what better way to see a person than through the eyes of the people around him😳 He is AP's pride, RP's faith, Swara's love, Ragini's biggest fear! AwesomeπŸ‘

How uber cute is this Swara wanting to visit Disney Land on her honeymoon 🀣 Just too cute XOXOX

And one rocking honeymoon VijiπŸ˜› πŸ˜† in every sense of the wordπŸ˜‰ πŸ˜† That was naughtyπŸ˜†

Shruti...πŸ€— πŸ€— πŸ€—

Coming from you, whom I know to be a Huge MB fan, this was really a very touching and humbling accolade. You really made my evening yesterday yaar...Thanks so very much. πŸ€—

So happy that you liked Annapurna's portrayal here. I've always felt there is a lot more depth and layers to her character that what they portray in the serial. She has so much aura, a regal bearing. She had chosen to ignore the truth for so long, but finally she decides the time has come to face it head on.

Ragini is really an inveterate villain this series. 😊 She just doesn't want to let go, move on, and earn a chance, however slight, at redeeming herself. It is all about trying to get even for imagined slights, imagined wrongs---because she would never want to endure some painful introspection, nor is she even capable of that.

She certainly does try her best to instigate Annapurna by asking how she can easily forgive Durga Prasad, and then tries to enforce that vow which he made under duress. And then, as you said, Its AP who tells her precisely where to get off (and also implicitly tells her husband that his word on some vows cannot be held sacrosanct when he had violated perhaps the most solemn and meaningful of them!)

I am not sure if we will get this firm, resolute Swara on the show, but that is show I see her, that is how I imagined her when the serial started. 😊 I would love to see her put Sanskaar and their relationship first, stand by him like a rock no matter what, and defend him like a tigress when needed! πŸ˜‰

Yeah, this update was more about Annapurna...but Sanskaar does have that stretch of his dialogue with Ram Prasad about the sacrifice he's willing to make. Even though his father tells him to reconsider and not go ahead, Sanskaar, the giving, generous soul that he is, does not want to refuse Durga Prasad's request, selfish and unfair though it is.

Yup, Swara is innocent enough to want to take selfies with Cinderella, Bambi, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. πŸ˜† But Sanskaar has much better ideas of what to do on their honeymoon. 😳 ☺️ After all, post their mutual love confession and the consummation at the farmhouse, the flirty, romantic and mischievous Sanskaar is at the forefront now! πŸ˜‰

Errmmm...honeymoons have to be rocking na? Else what's the fun? 😳

Thanks again Shruti!! πŸ€— πŸ€—

The prologue with SwaSan was <3..
U r an amazing writer...

Thanks for the pm

Hey dear...thanks so very much. πŸ€— πŸ€— Am so glad you liked this chapter and the series as well.

I do feel Annapurna has a lot of strength and depth to her character. She does love Sanskaar, in many ways, he is the son of her heart, though not of her womb. Now she has finally realized that it is completely unfair to keep taking him for granted.

About her husband, yes, she is shattered and disillusioned by his brief affair. And she does initially think of confronting him, of him abjectly apologizing to her and seeking forgiveness. But then she realizes that she loves him so much, that she does not want him to bow his head in shame before anybody, not even herself. It is probably not a rational thought, but love sometimes makes people feel in a manner which is not too rational...

Thanks for your lovely words about the epilogue. SwaSan needed some romantic couple time, on their long overdue honeymoon! 😳 ☺️

I love all your writing, and this as well as your music series and elements series and the old sins 3S, is the very best I have read anywhere on IF. Even your earlier OS like ek chutki sindhoor, saudade and second chances were awesome and are my faves!!

Nothing more I can say would do justice to the sheer power and genius of your writing. Just thanks...for giving us the chance to read your works. πŸ‘πŸΌ

Thanks so very, very much for those amazingly lovely words, both about this chapter and the "Mahabharata Analogy" series on SwaSan, as well as a number of my previous works which you've also mentioned in your comment. πŸ€— πŸ€—

Your generous words of praise made me go all 😳 😳. I am deeply touched and humbled that you think so highly of my work. I can just say a Huge, Heartfelt, Thank you. πŸ€—

Hey Kamala...πŸ€— πŸ€—

Thanks so much dear, for those lovely and generous words.

So happy to hear that you liked the characterization of various people in this OS series, and especially Annapurna's.
I wanted to show the depth and innate strength in Annapurna's nature, her aura and regal bearing.

Love you Viji, for this was wonderful. πŸ‘πŸΌ Have been travelling non stop since Dec now..and barely have time to connect..but have been keeping tabs on both the forum and on all the lovely stories you guys have been treating us with, through the darkest times of the serial. πŸ€—

This was so heartwarmingly beautiful, so divinely delicious, just SO RIGHT ! Thank you, Yet Again, for another gem to add to my collection of flawless stories..!πŸ˜ƒ

I loved what you did with AP here. A true Durga, in her element ! A woman after my own heart πŸ˜ƒ- strong, loving (but not blind), forgiving, caring, giving, discerning and more than capable of fighting her battles and protecting her own.. Hats off to you πŸ‘for creating an AP who lives up to what I originally wanted her to be, in the serial, before they shredded her character to bits..

And RP - again, a wonderful Lakshman like character who as you so rightly have had AP acknowledging - the true blue spine of the khandaan..strong, silent, capable and loving. Again an intelligent care taker of the family, worthy of respect, and he finally got it from his beloved Bhabhi here. Come to think of it, when you read the Ramayana, Lakshman always stands out as the selfless one, blind in his adoration of his elder brother, ready to give up everything for him - his comforts, his wife, even his life, is at his brother's feet. And thats why he is so respected and admired, though he always remains in the background. And RP as Lakshman, lives up to all of those traits, in this story. Kudos for creating this RP !⭐️

Wont write much about Swasan😳 ..they deserve that we let them be in their own heaven at Hawaii..! I wish I had written when you first wrote about their reconciliation..that was such a heartwarming scene ! And their subsequent avowal of love, their togetherness was the stuff we dream of. I am so glad you put it up, like that..their discovering each other, their love bringing them close and giving them the strength that gives them their own special courage to fight on. 'Twas so very satisfying !πŸ˜ƒ

I am glad you gave closure to the viper😑 and her granny🀒. They deserve nothing but to be dumped into an endless pit ! And I was glad to see our golden girl getting over her self sacrificial mode and giving it back and in full to both of them here ! πŸ‘ Nothing succeeds like good over evil...every time!😊

Hey Pic...πŸ€— πŸ€— πŸ€—

Thanks so much for the lovely words. As I mentioned in my brief reply to you yesterday, I'd been missing your insightful, analytical comments so very much. I was floored, literally floored by your warm, generous words, Pic. You really made my evening yesterday, I was so deeply moved.

I had wanted to portray Annapurna having a lot of depth and inherent strength to her nature. She has such a regal bearing, an awe inspiring aura, that I can totally imagine her in this role. As a wise, discerning, strong, forgiving (but not blind/ forgetting/ weak) kind of character. Durga Prasad may be the Patriarch of the Maheshwaris, but Annapurna is the Matriarch. He commands the respect and awe of the whole clan, but in their domestic establishment, even he defers to her talents and management.

I wanted to show her as being very much aware of her husband's brief infidelity all those years ago, but having the heart to forgive him. And her love for him is so powerful, that though she initially thinks of confronting him, getting his abject apology for his wrong doing, she realizes that she respects him so much, she does not want him to feel shame, bow his head before anyone. Not even herself. That may be irrational, sure. But love makes people take funny choices sometimes...She takes solace from the fact that he has genuinely repented for his indiscretion, and had returned to her and their children, having cut off ties with Kaveri as well as Devendra.

Thanks for all the lovely words about RP's characterization, too. I really wanted to show him as well, of having an inner core of the strongest steel. I would like to think that Sanskaar inherited his resoluteness, patience, strength of purpose and loyalty from his Dad. The ability to hold the family together, without vociferously claiming credit for one's actions. The ability to put others' interests before one's own.

I wanted to show SwaSan gradually reconciling through this OS series, Swara convincing Sanskaar of her intense love and unshakable faith in him. Their love was never in doubt, he adored her always, and she too, had grown to love him equally. But the belief he had in her regard for him, the trust which was the foundation of their bond, had taken a hit. I wanted to show Swara rebuilding that steadily, with her love and resolve.

Thanks for your lovely words about the blissful, loving togetherness SwaSan find in each other in the end. Their love is truly a soulmate bond, a rare, epic kind of love.

And Ragini in this OS series at least, was too vile, too vindictive and filled with schadenfreude, to be redeemable. She and Dadi deserved to be cast out! Glad you liked that, too!

Its always a pleasure and a privilege to get your feedback, Pic. Missed ya. Do come back more often with your posts and comments!

Loads of Love,

----Viji
