Wow Shruti!! This is terrific. Wouldn't it be great to see Sanskar doing something similar in the show. All the pankhis here are desperate for that one sign. We all want to experience the immense relief and become free from this prison of uncertainty

Lovely Shruti...Just lovely.

It had such a nice flow---Swara holding on to the memories of her moments with Sanskaar---the small SMS'es, the casual photos--all seemingly minor, nothing earth shattering, but now, they mean more than the whole world to her.

I really liked how you portrayed her going about her routine in the day time, with a mask of courage and forbearance in place, but in the privacy of her room, all she cares about, is cherishing those lovely memories with Sanskaar.

And that last para---Girl, you made her get a small note with a smiley drawn on it, and she smiles seeing her husband's written epistle "Stop Crying, Swara".
She started smiling all right, and you reduced me to a blubbering, teary puddle. 😊 Well, at least they were happy tears! 😊

Very lovely touch, having Sanskaar send her the torn pieces of that blasted divorce paper, and the mangalsutra to indicate their bond. BTW, there really was another mangalsutra is it?

Very lovely OS Shruti. You should write more, please. Do you take requests? Please send them on a honeymoon in your next one. Far, far away from crazy sisters, fathers who say "forget him, just move ahead", bade papas who trick them into signing stuff to save his own sorry ***, preventing his liaison of what? 3 decades ago, from coming to light...🤢

BTW Shruti, this is off topic, but I badly wanted to discuss this with ya. See, the Maheshwari family is so orthodox, so paternalistic, really. So even if the truth comes out of Durga Prasad having, well, sown his wild oats 25 to 30 years ago, what is the downside? Annapurna is hardly going to leave him. Ok, his image of the perfect pati, the perfect pillar of their biradari gets dented. Is that worth (even to him), blighting the happiness of 2 people he has repeatedly said are equivalent to being his own son & daughter?

I don't get it...the only excuse I can possibly think of, is that Sanskaar had earlier lied to them that he wants this divorce, and Swara, well, till recently she never let on that she actually loved Sanskaar. So maybe Durga Prasad felt he wasn't really doing them such a huge disfavor?

Sorry for going off on a side track, to end the comment let me again say how much I loved your OS...I am still wiping my eyes with my hanky. 😊

Such a long & nice comment from one of the best writers in the forum means a lot to me Viji 🤗
Thanks a ton for the appreciation😳

@the memories: that is actually always the case isnt it. all these minor things, these everyday pics we take, messages we exchange...when the person whom we shared those memories with is not with us these happy moments make us miss them more we always take for granted the ones we love the most. we are so careless when that person is with us, it is only when he goes away that we realize what an integral part of our life the person was

and yes swara cares for everyone. so she knows if she locks herself up in her room her mother would end up worrying about her. she needs to make a show of moving on when all she wants to do is curl up & cry more.

that smiley, those notes were all their private moments, moments only they knew about😳 and he had rejected all those gestures of her earlier. so now he was consoling her by accepting & even reciprocating them in his own way😳

yes there was another mangalsutra. the one she wears regularly has a pendant with 2 peacocks. the diwali one (u can c that in my signature) is a simple triangular pendat...which tbh i like more😉. and i so want someone to burn/ tear those divorce papers ASAP viji!!!😡

SwaSan honeymoon!I will definitely write something if it strikes me.

@Durga Prasad Maheshwari : _/\_ I cannot believe I ever thought that man was equal to Sanskaar. He is as useless as his son & wife. After the complete U turn he has taken I just cannot understand the man at all. Like you said even if AP found out about his ex gf (or whatever) it is not as if she is going to leave him. So maybe it isn't about AP leaving. And izzat in biradari is also already down the drain with bahu bossing over him & his. In the end we can just guess. Like everyone has been guessing maybe AP's laadla Laksh is not hers at all. The usual story you know...child born dead...baby replaced by husband's illegitimate child...wife in the dark. So maybe DP is protecting this secret? Since AP may forgive & forget DP's bhool on barsaat ki ek raat but she might not be able to take it if her beloved baby isnt her own🥱 & beloved baby ka awww gaaaddd kitna lamba chalega ye to pucho hi mat 🤣

@DP calling SwaSan beti beta: Words are wind! In the end blood is always thicker😊

Lastly I think even Ragini & Daadi are being forced into this. But I will say this much. No matter what their (Ragini, Daadi, DP) reasons, what they are doing to Swara is wrong. A normal person might suffer from a nervous breakdown. She is under tremendous pressure continuously. Even if we forget how her life is one drama after another & just take the recent events...she has realized her love but has been rejected by him, she has been betrayed by her sister AGAIN, she has been thrown out twice, she has been betrayed by the man who called her beti AGAIN (then shekhar, now dp), now her marriage is being broken...no matter how strong, every person has his limits. show the girl some mercy someone!

I was so happy and excited when I got your pm as I know how well you write on other shows so knew that if you ever did write on SwaSan it would be awesome. And it is! I so love this- the sheer simplicity with which it unfolded was sterling but the way you brought in how Sanskaar chose to convey the message to Swara was superlative. My heart has literally melted into a puddle now reading about him sending her the mangalsutra and the torn divorce papers. What a way to scream out ALL he needs to say. The symbolism of the torn papers to the intact mangalsutra shouting out his love and dedication and most importantly, telling her that it will all be ok, he will make it so and she has no more need of tears, almost brought tears to my eyes! Oh and not to mention the poignant humour of the not to cry mandate 😆

Also it was so heartwarming to read of Swara reliving their memories through photos and going through their messages and even though it's such an angsty time, this gesture was so sweet and therefore felt great.

As we have discussed many times, we want to see a strong Swara but all that's recently happened to her is too much to take. We have desperately wanted Sanskaar to give her some sign, whatever it is to help her to keep going as otherwise how can someone survive what she has to? This was the perfect way to do it and kudos to you for managing it so adroitly.

You have an amazing way of expressing yourself concisely, it reminded me of Medhu who has the same skill. I lack the gift, I go into too much detail and reading this was so pleasurable as it had such impact without being overly verbose.

Fab work Shruti and I will now be annoying you endlessly for more so be warned!

Love you! X

Thanks for the detailed comment 🤗

The poor guy cannot come to meet her, he cannot call her with creeps of all sorts spying on them, his hands are tied. Hence he offers her wordless comfort, repeating all the things she did with him/ for him which only the two shared so she has no doubt that he cares!😳 That stop crying is what I keep saying to her mentally every time she is onscreen😆

I am nowhere near Medha. That girl is in a league of her own! But thanks for the compliment. It means a lot😳
