Saku 🤗
With renewed apologies for this tardiness, I am here finally and hooked already. I'm commenting as I read on and even on parts I've read before I'm re-reading and commenting chapter by chapter as you know I like to do on your work!

Chapter 1- gripping especially to a lawyer as you can imagine! The darkness in SK's soul, the lovely touch of making him overhear the conversations which tell the reader how he's perceived were superbly done. What was even more superb was the sheer flow of words here! I loved the descriptions, your the mastery of imagery anyway but I could see old Mr Singh and just the whole setting came to life. And what an intro to introduce RagLak and Swara and DP 👏. One more epic tale from you so I'll read on and share my 2 pennies as I go on!

Chapter 2 - I so love the way you develop a mystery. This really has the same feel one gets when first dipping into master works like Agatha Christie for example. I so like SK, he's the sarcastic Sanskaar I adore whose wit is caustic and his hidden pain so mesmerising. Always liked the interaction between Shomi and Sanskaar and the groundwork here is laid so well. Also the VK - SK subtle bro ace reminds me of Jay-Veeru, as random as that may be!!

Chapter 3 - this is the stuff that epic love stories are made of and this certainly had that raw power and foreboding which foretells that. The whole thing was magic. SK is lost before he knows it. You wrote of crackling chemistry and it sure as hell literally blazed from my iPad screen in the SwaSan scene. The starting comparison to Snow White was guaranteed to hook me. I have a real fascination for the dark undertones of well known "fairy" tales, be that SW or Red Riding or Hensel & Gretel as well as many others. This had some master touches like how SK is trying to rationalise his increasing desire to see Swara for example; like I said he's losing himself. That scene at the end was ooohh- spine tinglinglh good. Her tears, his reflexive actions and their connect- I am drowning in a sea of delicious already!

Chapter 4 - when something starts with " Had we met on the other side of the moon, visible to all and lit by the sunlight, ..." you know it's going to be beyond amazing! This Swara I like as I usually do in your ffs. She's perceptive and I know she will have made glaring errors of judgement to get where she is but that's more to the discredit of others rather than hers I feel. I love the move of showing how she has come to already rely on SK - the foundation for a perfect partnership is already set and set so well. I don't need to be a lawyer to applaud the masterful court room scene but as a lawyer I have to doff my hat at it. I can't describe how much good court room dramas call to me (surely more than obvious I guess!) but also how much bad ones irk me. This one was so far on the side of the former that I was literally feeling transformed into SK, I was there and was pulling the information from a soon made hapless Ragini and also the person sat as audience lapping it all up. It will sound very odd to say this but I have been told multiple times (including right at the start of my professional skills course advocacy module) that I start off being very nice to people in x-exam and then turn brutal suddenly, only to swap back to being nice again. It's something born out of instinct for me coupled with what I have observed brings me results but reading this described with SK was making me punch the air in delight at some many points where I knew he had Ragini! Simply amazing chapter Saku! Laksh Maheshwari is so outclassed in every which way!

Chapter 5 - Awww, that banter! SK's cutting sarcasm but clearly underlaid with a burgeoning softness already, Swara's ready retorts, his ridiculously cute excuse that he needs maid- such balm after the high voltage court drama and uuurgggh can I hate shekhar more?!!! However I sense something lurking here and twists coming? To be honest even Shomi annoyed me, she is so weak when it comes to her ridiculous relation with spineless SG! But well it gave our destined pair their needed excise so I'll rejoice in that. But also I sense something more with Shomi, like something else lurking and I can't put my finger on it yet. Ah well let me read on! You'll reveal with your usual panache I know!

Chapter 6 - the description of the changed Swara was so effective. Once again, I so loved how your developing the SwaSan equation. The banter to distract her from her grief, the gesture in both understanding her missing her mum and making her call her and then my favourite- the handkerchief!!! And oh of course this Swara is normal and has functioning hormones so the attraction is registered and even though she of course rebuffed it asap it's there now! So Mr LM now knows Swara is living with SK and SK has taken a giant leap in figuring out a key clue! Nicely done as ever!

Chapter 7 - oh wow!! Sounds innane but I promise my reaction is anything but. How did you manage all that in that perfectly formed chapter? Serious respect! The whole beginning with the inadvertent candle light dinner was more romantic than any planned cliched date. Their total connect with each other and SK's real fear of her to the point of saying he hates her eyes, which screams so loudly that he is obsessed with her and her eyes are pulling him in inexorably, to his actual apology were so dreamy. They are so falling in love and the scene with the dishes was so charged despite its innocence- I love scenes like that. In the beginning stages those have the tingling quality that even later overt expressive ones can lack. There was irony too in that Sanskaar (I now see him as that, SK is fading away) calls her Casper but he's the ones moving through the walls around her heart! The convo at the end with uttara first and Ragini later was really well done too and I like that he wants to talk to Swara now and isn't angry that she overheard. She's creeping through his life and heart and he doesn't mind it.

I'll end commenting here for now as my sister is furious at me for ignoring everyone for so long on Xmas night during family time but I'll finish the rest asap! And I'm so sorry, I reserved above but in my total absorption with this wonderful story, I started posting anew! I'm so addicted I'll read this all off tonight and then comemnt as soon as I can! Mmmwah

Christmas eve double treat and now double Christmas presents! Happy Christmas Sakura! Loved your presents! 😃

Coming to the updates. You have most definitely fulfilled your 'intense' court room magic promise. That was some really really intense stuff. The whole examination and cross examination of Swara and Ragini. Wow! The way Durga Prasad and Sanskaar were throwing 'my friend' at each other was so 🤣. The whole murder mystery was so well and clearly unraveled. It just struck me that for once there was someone who fell for Ragini instead of Swara 😛 Weird thought.! And the poor guy got murdered. The real murderer was Lakshya? Did DP know about this?

You have shown Ragini's destructive love for Lakshya so well here. She was ready to go to jail for him and he was making way to abroad. Beautifully done there. What had Annapurna got for Sanskaar?

The SwaSan scene. You seriously made me happy with that awesome end. The way she throws his line back at him saying that she knows he is an evil guy but her heart doesn't understand that na. It was so sweet. Finally Casper becomes Swara and SK becomes Sanskaar. An absolutely justified end to a beautifully constructed and written story. Hats off. 👏

Desperately awaiting your next story.
Keep writing. :)

Hey V,
Happy christmas for you too dear, enjoy the gifts!
Ah yes, the court room drama at its heights, and DP and Sanskar being their sarcastic best. Of cause he did know it was Lakshya and was trying to protect him all along. Ragini well...loving her is kind of a curse I guess similar to being loved by her...
I'm glad you enjoyed the ending. My next is still shaping up...I hope you'd like it once I start posting!

Merry Christmas, Saku dear!

Un-Res

Saku, my brilliant, brilliant, friend...I thank the stars that one February day, I got a little interested by the trailer for a new serial, and decided to start casually watching it. It was OK, in a refreshing, timepass sort of way; and then from the anti hero/ gray character entry (Sanskaar of course, 😛) it got absolutely tantalizing. The SwaSan chemistry then took my interest to an altogether stratospheric level.

But you know why I'm even more thankful that I got hooked on the serial? Because it gave me the opportunity to "meet" you on the forum, read the works you write, the worlds you conjure up with an adept swish of that wand of yours. You are pure magic, my dear, a conjurer whipping out rabbits stylishly from that hat of yours. 👏 👏

I hope and pray that whatever your long term plans are, as a successful bio technologist, you find the mojo and the opportunity to indulge your writing skills as well. I would be so happy to have a few books of yours downloaded into my kindle, for posterity.

In Icarus, I found you to blossom into a close approximation of Erle Stanley Gardener and Sidney Sheldon. 😊 There's really no higher accolade I could bestow you, these two being among my favorite authors of all time. Always keep shining, Saku. Stay blessed and inspired, and May you always keep rolling out such slices of magic...

Coming to the last chapter and the finale, again, with your customary deft touch and nuance, you combined the roller coaster excitement of unraveling the mystery; with the deep, soul satisfying emotional notes of the mother--son rapprochement and the beginnings of their reconciliation; and the marvelous, shimmering beauty of the Swara--Sanskaar reunion at the end (No longer with the masks/ tortured identities of SK--Casper; just Swara & Sanskaar 👏).

As I scrapped you yesterday, I was really suspecting Lakshya for a bit. The clue being that sentence of SK's, that Durga Prasad started framing Casper before he even became her defense attorney, so there had to be another reason, someone else involved, which prompted this (not just Durga Prasad's venomous desire to hurt and shatter SK).

But I got diverted with your mehndi red herring, and kept hunting and hunting for who had the mehndi stain. 😛 I couldn't resolve that, so I thought maybe the clue would come in finally, about Ragini having a mild allergic reaction that day, which she solved by buying and consuming some anti allergens (the receipt to which would be located by SK! 😉) See how much imagination you are stoking with your writing, Saku!

So when initially you gave us that confession of Ragini's, I was dancing the tango in front of my lappie!! 😆 My Hubby thought I was bonkers!! And then---Aaahhh----you blindsided me by revealing the culprit to be none other, than our mutual favorite, the one for whom we devote reams and reams of dislike 😆, Lakshya Maheshwari, himself!! Man, I was so ticked off at myself for not sticking to my suspicion of him!!

You know, Saku, those paras about Annapurna telling Sanskaar why she chose against him last time; and how this time, she chooses to find peace in his peace, by giving up everything she held dear formerly---they were pure gold. She's realized how shallow her dreams of a perfect, intact family were; its simply not worth the price of shattering the soul, lacerating the heart of the son she loved so much. And that touch---of her choosing the son of her heart, to deliver due justice to the errant son of her womb, Saku, you blew me away. That had such an epic feel to it. As a mother, I had tears in my eyes at that point. What an ode to motherhood yaar. Was absolutely powerful.

I just loved the way Swara and Sanskaar come together in the end. The symmetry with which Swara declares her love for Sanskaar---"what to do, I know you are such an evil guy, but how can I make my heart understand that!" 😉 Mirroring SK's love declaration to Casper of a chapter ago. I love such gems of symmetry in writing, and you just gave me a high with that.

Kudos, Saku. This now becomes the 2nd favorite from your glittering collection as far as I'm concerned. (With SQ still the centerpiece gem in your fabulous tiara!)

Love you for this----Actually I love you anyway, and once again, I just want to thank the stars for getting me hooked to Swaragini all those months ago. 🤗

-----Viji

First of all very merry Christmas dear...
I honestly don't know how to reply to such lovely...heartwarming message. It truly reduced me to tears at the end of the first two paras. You know I thank my stars too, to have met such wonderful people here and to form such strong bonds with them. It is almost a second family and you're as dear to me as a sister is...
I do have side ambitions in the writing and certainly would give some of my time to them always...so if the god wills it one day you'd have a signed copy of some huge book written by me...
Well I had always planned to give the honor to our mutual favorite by all means but made a few u turns on the way to confuse everyone. I can imagine you dancing at Ragini's confession...I had a similar laughing fit at one of your posts once and mom gave me a look that clearly stated okay you've finally lost it...😆
Annapurna...I feel I have not done proper justice to her since story was said from SK and casper's povs, so I tried to give her as much space as I can in that, to express the mother in her and I'm so happy you felt it so touchingly beautiful.
So Elixir lost its title huh? I'm glad Icarus flew and took its position. Swara and Sanskar finally took off their masks and found each other in true sense. I'm glad you found it lovable.
Loads of love to you too Viji...and I don't really think any words would express how much of gratitude I feel for you for writing this...🤗

I have been silently following this SS of yours on my mobile throughout the length of each and every update. Like I had said before, I am in awe of your writing. Mostly, because its not in keeping with the track that is going on in the show and very much different. Its like a breath of fresh air that I simply adore.

Coming to this SS, the whole concept of it was very tantalising right from the beginning. I am sure when I started reading it, I did not fathom that I would be mindlessly hooked to the story. I was literally on the edge of my seat at every court room drama that happened for it was the most interesting part of the story. I loved how SK and Casper were the protagonist of the story and Sanskaar and Swara emerged only after both had accepted and fought their demons. A brilliant ending to a fabulous SS! 👏👏

I loved the portrayal of Durgaprasad and Ragini also and absolutely loved the end of the court room drama. This has been going in my mind for Sanskaar, but I think it fits for Durgaprasad and Laksh, 'Revenge is a dish best served cold', and I feel, after what had happened with SK and what his family did to him for him to leave Kolkata, he had the best come back! Kudos! 👏👏 Btw, I was guessing Laksh or AP as the culprit, because for some reason Ragini did not seem to be the one. I kinda knew that Ragini could have been the one giving drugs but killer - I was swindling between Laksh and AP. I am glad though it is Laksh!

Also like the small AP and SK scene in the end...very powerful! Absolutely in awe!

Love your writing style the most and please do continue writing. I may not comment as often as I would like to, know that you have a fan in me for ever.

Lots of Love
Anna 😊

P.S : Merry Xmas :)

Hey Anna,
It is so nice to hear from you and to know that you were hooked from start to end, thank you dear, for the lovely praises😊
Of cause I hardly keep in track with the show for it is hardly logical nowadays. We really need some refreshment in this sense, glad to offer it to you! It was a story of two people forced to mask themselves by their circumstances they would unmask only when the inner demons were fought and finished...that's why Swara and Sanskar made appearance in the very end.
Ragini blinded by love and Durga prasad blinded by ego are two forms of evil I have unleashed for SK and Casper to fight with and Annapurna is basically trapped between good and evil, having her roots in both sides unable to choose one over the other.
I'm glad you loved her interaction with SK in the end.
I'm honored to have a fan like you dear, I would of cause continue to write.
Loads of love from me too,
Sakura😊
PS: It's a little late but wish of a very merry Xmas!

@first part I am totally in time with Swara's rather tired facade. She does not wanna defend herself much. Why? is she shielding someone?

I remeber reading a similar character in ABC murders by agatha christie..the man was unsure of his whereabouts and suffered from epilepsy--and hence was perfectly sure he had done murders committed by someone else--nd framed by the murderer as well.

SK's lawyer profile is done wonderfully. intimidating, curt---and somewhere tough as nails.

@second---Love the convo between singh and SK. Wonderfully done. just the tone and my imagination suggesting a pot bellied old lion...prancing against a virile one--and the snide veneer suggesting that elephants never forget. Wow.

@third--not much to say--mostly a filler of sorts.

@ fourth---The courtroom scene. Saku---STANDING OVATION. kaccha chaba gaya ragini ko.😎 unreliable witness...contradicting herself...reminded me so much of legally blonde's scene. it was comic--but the final confrontation somehow was as crisp as that. here of course they are professional lawyers---and he is having a field day--coaxing his victim into comfort---and then pouncing.
u did the taxi wala's tone excellently as well. the character jumped out of the screen.

@ fifth:I look like a ghost?'

Hey, I said Casper; he gets irritated when called a ghost.'

You could donate ego, it's overlarge.'

You could donate altruism it's overflowing!' he retorts almost instantly. Come, I have few more minutes before a meeting, I'll drive you home.'

I wait another moment watching him take a few steps down. He stops and turns to scowl at me.

Do you want the client to eat my head Casper? Come already!'

I follow him, although my mind starts following a different thought process. What is SK's reason to help me continuously? No one would take a favor to a colleague as seriously as he was and now, his reason for offering me a home is because he needs a maid...like seriously? Who would even believe that?'

I am rolling in laughter at this exchange totally wonderful.🤣

okay sixth:---Love the irritated swara. the mehendi point was brilliant👏..and how true. even dried henna leaves reddish rusty marks.and with mehendi she would not have driven anyway.

So then Rags is lying. But DP wanted it just as a revenge against swara for leaving laksh or for some other reason? he hates SK(if he is family here, which i presume he is as he calls laksh lucky).

The exchange between swara and laksh totally got me back when he kept accusing her with loud oww gawwds.🤢

@seventh: with the blink of her eye--she transformed him into her kitchen helper!!!😆

So uttara obviously still cares about her bhai...and Ragini has been phoning him? Or is it AP? I would hazrd a guess at ragini because she would wanna check exactly in what direction the wind is blowing.

Swara thinking and analysing how her father and her ex fiance were different and what made her fall for him. very well shown Saku.👏

@ eighth: Hmm..okay lets get the last scene outta the way...my heart thumped at it. kuch kuch hua.😳

now..the revelation about why shomi is afraid of shekhar and he is disappointed at her. because of swara. who is not his child. she strove for the love of the only father she knew. of course never had it as such.

and rags was preparing to get engaged to laksh when swara came into the picture.

So who came after vansh--before the maheshwari sisters? maybe laksh.😕..if he was the murderer...and had a confrontation with vansh about swra maybe and killed him?

@ ninth:- someone is in love. I agree why SK would think its too soon and its gratitude not love.😭

But he adores her too. and they went for a date.

Laksh came in again. My god--even if a supposed murderess is still trying ti=o make u jealous...why do u have to run behind her? either believe ragini or don't.😡

SOmehow my suspects are Laksh--ragini herself(for reasons I do not know yet) and possibly DP(for reasons unknown as well)

@tenth---emotionally turmoil...and very well expressed saku. small phrases like the fact that she felt empty and his knuckles were white on the steering--conveyed a lot.its so hard to let go of the little sunshine u have. So why does Dp hate him?

@11:Things are falling into place. the entire backstory almost made me cry. brilliantly done and very practical saku.👏

If her mehendi got smudged--then its someone from her home. Ragini or Laksh(he may have sneaked for some romance)😡

But Ragini did not have any allergies did she? so then laksh? might explain why DP was intimidating her so much.😕

@ 12--oh dear a chip. and I guessed right. me doing victory dance. rags was shielding Laksh.

bheega billa.

AP wanted to help sk and swara? that lady is beyond me.

The ending finale---love reigns supreme.

A very very mysterious and wonderful novel for me this christmas saku----thank you thank you thank you.

love---🤗

medha.

Medhu🤗🤗
God, you did take time to read this from your busy schedule? I just love you for this 🤗🤗
Oh, yes Swara was sort of stupid in the beginning, I'm glad you loved SK's profile, I put some well focused attention in to building that. The court room scene was the one I was so nervous about. Then the fifth was to recover from the intense drama before, Happy you loved the entire exchange.
At sixth the clues are revealing and in seventh walls are braking. Eighth...Don't know what possessed me to write that😳 You're right let's keep it aside. Yes Shom...shekar equation is fully out and Swara's need of love is also understood. You'll know of Vansh later.
After that it is a ride of who did it...and you're too smart...you always had your bet on Lakshya...do your totally deserved victory dance dear. It was him...just confusing us with his antics before.
Ap is a soul confused between good and evil...don't look for logic in her much.
Ah...it's a love story after all...
And you gave me this lovely comment for Christmas...thanks for that!
loads of love...

though i didnot clearly understand why laksh killed vansh and framed swara married ragini and acted as if he hates swara knowing she was innocent all along he seemed surprised when swara was proved innocent and sorry that he did not trust her and still had the guts to say that he loved her i seriously hate him
also how did sk manage to get the microchip from ragini's room
and ragini, seriously i hv no words for her, such selfless love! she was ready to take the punishment for laksh hats off to the girl she seems even more crazy now by the way what happened to the case of swara trying to kill ragini?
also it was wierd how annapurna gave evidence against sk though she loves him but laksh is her son but i am glad that she chose him this time
loved the ss overall and will be waiting for the new ss plzz start soon
:)

Thanks dear,
Oh, well Lakshya never wanted to frame swara it had been Durga Prasad's work to save him. Lakshya had no choice but to play along as he is a selfish man and wants to save himself first.
He killed Vansh in a fit of anger, as Ragini said they had been arguing. It was Ragini who made Lakshya believe Vansh and Swara were dating which led to all this.
Sk went to Maheshwari mansion and lived there right? So in that time he managed to do all that.
The initial confession of Ragini is trimmed short here, it starts again by SK cross examining her. So she must have confessed that Swara did not attack her as well.
Annapurna believed what she did was wrong last time and that's why she had to suffer separation from her son, this time she knows Lakshya deserves the punishment so she did the right thing by handing the evidence.
I hope your confusion got cleared dear...thanks again!😊
