First a question before I comment on part 1: have you learnt music, or was all that just research? I truly love how you take up various themes be it colours which was in one of your previous works or music in this one, apply it to these characters and then tell such a beautiful story.

Ragini is such a captivating and compelling character, isn't she? Very much similar to sanskaar but still worlds apart. They are two sides of the same coin, connected but always different. I liked ragini wanting to change, I loved it that sanskaar was giving her that chance. Who better than him to know that if someone gives you a chance you can change! There would be so much lesser evil in the world if only people gave others a chance.

Sanskaar isn't coming to her to preach about truth. He isn't begging, rather he makes sure she understands who is doing whom a favour. Smart as usual 😉 Ragini sulkily admitting that they aren't back to being friends 😆 and then comes the line that is just so sanskaar, passionate and genuine to the core 😳

That line about ragini still being his enemy if she is swara's!! How can you not fall for a person who is so passionate and honest?!

Ragini truly deserves someone better than laksh, and not because he doesn't love her. Even if he did he would never be her equal, her partner. He just doesn't have her intelligence, drive, courage...nothing 🥱

Waiting for part 2!

Hey Shruti...🤗 🤗

It was such a pleasure to get your detailed comment, it really made my Sunday. 😊

I've learned the violin for almost 6 years, but stopped formal classes when I was preparing for my 12th boards. I do keep practising occasionally, but I am fairly rusty now. 😊

So the music background I gave for this story was part memory, part research. Yaman Kalyan happens to be one of my most favorite raagas, though of course, since I studied Carnatic and not Hindustani, it was called "Yamuna Kalyani". Its the same raag in essence , just termed differently, and of course the playing styles are a bit different.

Anyway to come back to the story 😊 I agree with you completely, that Ragini is a fascinating character. And she does deserve much better than Lakshya. Not only because he broke her heart twice in a most callous manner, he is just incapable of matching her in any respect. 😆

I do want Ragini's redemption to be shown sensitively and sensibly in the serial. While she of course has to take responsibility for what she did, I do feel she was pushed down this path by Lakshya's disregard for her feelings, and also by Sanskaar's influence on her when he was a gray character. Of course, he did try his best to head her off from the abyss, but it was too late by then.

I do see Sanskaar as being the chief support and influence on her ultimate redemption. It will be a closure for him too, for the guilt he is bound to feel for having started her down this path; and like you said so well, who better than Sanskaar, to know the value of a second chance given to redeem oneself.

I really wanted to show their "Frenemy" interaction here, and am so very, very glad that you liked it.

Am working furiously on part 2. 😊 Hope to have it up tomorrow.

You highlighted the difference in the two loves, her transformation - one that probably her old self might not even recognise, her insecurities at still trying to reveal the truth and loss this Laksh despite what he has put her through (as you rightly put unworthy; but one she cannot get away from), the realisation that Swara and Sanskar's pain doesnt make her happy. Where do I stop! Each part of it was put forward so beautifully. Along with the pain of seeing Laksh still the way he is.

It was great to see all of this put from Ragini's point of view.

I am looking forward to the next two Raags. I liked the concept of Raag...they have their own meaning, emotions and context that conveys as much as prose can

👏 👏

Thanks so much Sapna. 🤗 I find Ragini a very fascinating character, and I wanted to explore that a bit in detail here. I am frankly looking forward to her redemption being shown in a sensible manner in the serial, because she really did have a lot of good points. And like I've been saying in reply to some of the other comments, while she has to take ultimate responsibility for her own actions, one can't deny that both Lakshya and Sanskaar facilitated her descent into this obsessive behavior.

And am really happy you noticed about the raag bit. The serial started around the theme of music, we haven't seen much of that of late, except a stray reference to Swara going to Benares to recruit a music teacher. 😉 I did want to interweave music with the characters' growth and transformation, and besides, I love classical instrumental (studied the violin for almost 6 years).

Viji 🤗
Wow. I really am speechless. I have been waiting for so long to read something is yours in spite of my exams. I'm sorry I took so long to comment, I wanted to finish studying before I actually got carried by your piece.

Coming to the piece. It was amazing. I loved every bit of it. If I could I would write every line but I'll stick to telling you sooner of my favourite parts.

I loved the beginning. The innocent version of Ragini of the white version. Then the transition to the cruel or rather revengeful version of her, that may be called her black side. And through the talk Ragini and Sanskar share, where the shades of grey in her character are brought out.

I read and re read the lines where you compared the love of Ragini and Sanskar. Wow. It was spot on according to me.

I also enjoyed his you give particular attention to the ambiance of the setting, specially at the very end. Last but not the least I love how your whole story revolves around music. The CVs seem to have forgotten that the swaragini sister's life used to revolve around music.

Thanks for writing. Thanks for the PM. And can't wait for the next part.

Lots of love

Well you have handled both the complicated character and the musical linkage wonderfully in her. And I completely agreed with you about Laksh and Sanskar having their own share in what she has become now. She needs a sensible redemption to bring out the true Ragini rather than living her in the convoluted form that the show has

A Much needed TS dear..I am damn happy after reading this story..😃😃😃

I am very much yearning for Ragini's redemption in the show..and here comes my angel Viji with this plot..I love you for this❤️

Ragini's portrayal in the show is being OTT now a days..But I loved your way of starting to make her redeemable, by our one and only Sanskaar..😳 Since he was the one who started all this, he has an obligation to end this too..😊

I loved the way you explained about Ragini's singing prowess, that Raga and all..It was brilliant..

And I am impressed by Swara madam's yearning for Sanskaar😆 Let her yearn a bit more..😛

Lakshya is still being a 🤬 and is still after his bhabhi..😡 Oh god when will he learn..

And Viji I didn't understand your portrayal of AP here..Ragini doubting about her saasu maa's ulterior motives..😲 I mean what can it be..??

I am eagerly waiting for your next update yaar🤗

Naina my dear...🤗 Thanks so much for your lovely and detailed comment yaar. Felt so happy to read it, am very glad you liked this chapter.

I also really want to see a sensible and sensitive redemption for Ragini, I find her a fascinating character. And as I have been replying to some of the previous comments, though Ragini has to take responsibility for her own actions, both Lakshya and Sanskaar had pushed her on this path towards her obsessive behavior. Though Sanskaar of course, tried his best to head her off from the abyss, by that time it was too late.

I feel very sure, that Sanskaar would give her a chance to redeem herself. He knows the importance of getting a chance to repent, having walked on the dark side himself.

I felt very happy that you liked the reference to music. Swaragini started like that na, revolving around music, but now this has almost been forgotten.

I will be making Swara pine for Sanskaar and miss his attention and love. 😳 she really needs to realize how much he means to her!

About Annapurna: no yaar, I just meant that Ragini is not very sure, if she has genuinely forgiven her for her past misdeeds, or if she is just acting. Ragini is in a super wary mood after her kidnap, that's all. But do you want me to turn Annapurna negative here? 😆

Am working on chapter 2 and hopefully should be ready to post tomorrow evening/night.

I was thinking about your TS Viji & a thought came to my mind. Will Ragini accept the chance Sanskaar is offering her or are you so tired of waiting that you are giving us the car blast here? 🤣 You don't need to answer that 😆 but I just had to ask😆
