This is beautiful!! I so loved this.
AP and Sanskaar share a unique bond. He is the son she always wished for. But he is not hers and so she harbors a slight dislike towards him for being more capable than Laksh in all aspects. And he knows it yet he respects and looks up to her. I loved the way you portrayed their bond through these little things, like morning aarti, where in he can be Sanskaar, her son and she can be his mom.
Ragini prompting Swara towards the path of realization 👍🏼 I don't think Swara even realized how deeply she felt for Sanskaar. The feeling had developed over time even without her realizing it. They say you never realize the worth of what you have until you lose it. I am glad that she caught up before it was completely lost.
Swara singing for him and conveying her feelings through music was brilliantly done. It added a certain depth to their equation. It matched their personalities perfectly. It was subtle, nuanced and so them.
Swara's detailed study of his eyes was dreamy ☺️
Hi Raksha. ..🤗
Thanks so much, for this lovely and detailed comment. I'm very glad you liked this chapter.
I'm so happy you liked the aspect of music, both as a part of the Annapurna ---Sanskaar bond while he was growing up, as well as the way Swara finally expresses her feelings to Sanskaar. I completely agree with you on the complex nature of the relationship between Annapurna and Sanskaar. She certainly feels he is the son she always wanted. Like you said, though she loves him, there is this slight resentment that he isn't her son, and is so much better than her own, especially her pampered prince, Lucky. ...But their shared love for music lets her forget that, at least for a while.
And as for Swara, I wanted to make her pine for Sanskaar, thirst for his affection and care, and realize how much he means to her. Ragini is slowly starting on that path back to her inherent goodness, it won't be an easy path, but at least she's trying to rein in the envy and bitterness within her. I wanted to make her give Swara that small nudge towards expressing her feelings for Sanskaar.
I truly feel that music is sometimes a more powerful way of communicating that mere words. I am so very happy that you felt the way Swara did this, was subtle and nuanced, and suiting their bond. 😊
You liked Swara's observation of Sanskaar's eyes? 😳 I liked writing that, too. 😉
