Viji !!! I love u
What a swasonlicious update
But why did u stop lady...my heart wanted more n more .I am still in swason land. You just nailed it.
This is the best explanation swara could give for her doubt.Ofcourse sanskaar doesn't know boundaries when it comes to swara n ragini maligning character of swara is reason enough to kidnap ragini although he didn't do it..but thinking on those lines can sow a seed of doubt in swaraz mind .Only this explanation can guarantee forgiveness from sanskaar
I love the quotes and references u make.I tell u this again n again but believe me now am short of words to praise u.What a marvelous piece of writing .Am just in love with ur works.
The pain of sanskaar n regret of swara was beautifuly depicted.I want swara to literally beg for forgiveness from sanskaar and I want sanskaar to show attitude and don't give up easily.
Viji eagerly waiting for third part
thanks for pm
love

Shruti darling...🤗 🤗 A BIG Jhappi to you for that lovely comment.
Thanks for saying you liked the descriptions. You would have guessed I'm a big fan of Sunsets and Sunrises by now. 😊 I do love them, describing them in this TS (Sunset in Yaman Kalyan; Sunrise in Bhairav) also was to set the tone, since Raag Yaman Kalyan is an evening Raag, while Raag Bhairav is an early morning one, traditionally played at sunrise or just after.
He he...you liked the description of the concluding SwaSan scene in this one, huh? Well, I liked writing it, too. 😳 ☺️
I wanted to bring in that aspect of their Diwali interaction, because it seemed to me that Swara was really, at some level, aware that Sanskaar was behaving with her like a guy normally behaves with the girl he loves. In a slightly flirtatious, teasing manner. And her response certainly wasn't discouraging at all. 😛
I know, Shruti, I was also disappointed that she chose to doubt Sanskaar. I was majorly bugged with her, in fact. But then, I have rationalized it (and explained her side in this chapter), that she only felt Sanskaar could have kidnapped Ragini, to teach her a lesson for insulting/ maligning Swara. Basically, a small seed of doubt arises, since Swara knows how protective Sanskaar is, about her.
That's why, I also made her apologize to Sanskaar in that reconciliation scene, that she ought to have known, even had he done this kidnapping, he would have never let Swara be blamed for it. Nor would he have let Swara worry so much for those couple of days, he would have told her in confidence.
Glad you liked the music aspect of this chapter as well as the previous one. I wanted to weave that in convincingly. Quite often, music "speaks" to us more powerfully than words, na?
Am also very happy you liked Swara's description of Sanskaar's eyes. I enjoyed writing that bit, a lot. 😉
Oh, I love Oscar Wilde too. That man was an absolute genius. Have you by chance watched "The Good Woman", a film based on his play "Lade Windermere's fan"? If not, please watch it. It ahs so many of his witty quotes incorporated into the dialogues. I was grinning non stop throughout the film.
Starring Helen Hunt, Scarlett Johannson and a couple of others.

Holly Santa Maria! Viji ... I'm totally floored.
Ragini...why she is the way she is...near to Lucifer as Sujatha says ...had me glued to the story. Sanskar...gosh, the guy has style but now you have given him a halo too..he is bigger than life..the conversation between him and Ragini, his last parting shot...'If you are opposed to Swara, you are my enemy today, Ragini...that sounded like something Mario Puzo of Godfather fame would write...Rest later... got a conference call starting in 5 minutes. Finally caught up with all my readings...Ever since young, I have been brought up to listen to Carnatic music, my early remembrance of my grandmother is of her doing tiny, tedious but super lovely needlework with music flowing around her. She taught me the different aspects of Carnatic and Hindustani Raag. To her greatest disappointment, I could recite all the 'words' she had described but not a thing of the actual music stuck to my brains. I remember her lamenting to my mom, about my 'handicap'... 😉Reading your 2nd update made me realize that music connects to the soul but it also connects your soul to you...The yearning of Swara to get into Sanskar's good books, her explanation of why she was worried he might be the suspect made a tremendous impact on me...It was so well thought of and brought to life in your writings, it was haunting...Every single para was so vivid, I shed a tear or two sympathizing with Ragini...a feet to be applauded in my books as I simply deplore Ragini's character...The sangamam of the souls of SwaSan...it was a Raag by itself...Todi might just be it...(after all Hindustani's Bhairavi corresponds to Carnatic's Thodi in terms of its aroha and avaroha)

@bold: very very true. (feeling like a super girl now for being able to recall a quote while replying to you 😆) Like Aldoux Huxley said "After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music." So is it any surprise that Swara patched up with Sanskaar through music😳No I havent seen The Good Woman. Will put it for download right away.
