Res 😊
Un res

Again, a lovely piece, Saku. Sanskaar's concern for Swara was evident ---he noticed her bruised and bleeding fingers even when she hadn't, and was very firm in asking her to stop playing. Right from then, there is subtle feeling of belonging, liberties they can take with each other, which transcends friendship. I think it was teetering on the brink between friendship and love even then...sad that they had to undergo so much pain and separation before bridging that small gap and making that jump across the brink. 😊

I am normally favorably disposed towards Kavita...have written a fic (Second chances), detailing Sanskaar's pain at her loss, and his gradual moving on to find happiness and love with Swara. But I disliked her in the winter land...intensely, at that. She came across as so conniving...a much milder version of Ragini, perhaps. 😊 I don't mean in terms of trying to physically kill somebody, but that fake advice to Sanskaar still rankles. 😆

And funnily enough, you made me ambivalent to Shomi on the winter land, too, a character I'm normally very fond of otherwise. I can't help but get irritated at her notion of growth in the absence of shade...🤢

I guess they can blame your evocative writing for making me feel this way. 😆

But seriously, kudos for this series. My favorites were 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7. I will be revisiting IK and SQ this weekend. And possibly Elixir too. You are very addictive, Saku...I'm just very glad your writing is Elixir and not poison. 😉

woah!!! these are something that reader of IK And SQ can't afford to miss... just love the deep and unbreakable bond of Swara and Sanskaar... something more was there is between Swasan, Isn't it? and Sanskaar chose to destroy it *disappointed* well he was lucky that he got the chance of making everything right and made everything right.*pat on the back* not everyone got lucky in such matters... well, soulmates... :D :D
Lakshya's lil bit scenes was sooo provoking for his jaw breaking by Sanskaar.. ;) sometimes I wonder when DP and all knows that Lakshya wasn't good in business and studies.. why did not they tell him to pursue his career in something else!!! he can be easily convinced by others.. that was good for him...
but this is not my main question!!! Saku dear just tell me, please, when Sanskaar knows from starting, with Swara he can make everything right, then why he left her!!! he can disown the kingdom with Swara too. Why he left her alone, literally rejecting her on her face with giving her his responsibilities too!!! Am I wrong!!! please tell me... :))
PS- and yeah, if there is slightest chance of continuing the series of IK and SQ then darling please continue... :))

Nice one saku...i wish there were more...of all your works i love the winter series the most...swasan are so adorable...they have a sense of belonging to each other...this os just makes it all the more real...in the ss swara doesnt take long to forgive sanskaar and fall in love with him...even when he is responsible for her suffering she feels for him...she relates to his pain...they know each othrr the best...and this os makes it alll more realistic

After reading this set of oneshots I read the whole winter series again and I could connect with the story so much better... These are just amazing and telling us the depth of Swara and Sanskaar's friendship which I think he chose to avoid because his bade papa was rooting this match for his own purpose which Sanskaar did not want... But in the end the king and the queen had to unite to break free from their own winter hell

Read all 8 at one go.! Damn cute, funny and adorable! Loved the way you have shown their friendship and bond as children and teenagers. Beautifully written as always. :)

Loved each one of these..especially the three Musketeers..
It shows how, right from the starting there was so much of understanding between Swara and Sanskaar, that later got converted in love...
